How should you interpret the “worth $22” claim?
The $22 amount belongs to the wording of the historical TradePub campaign and BetaNews promotion. No current list price or retailer price was verified, so it should not be presented as what the book currently costs or as a guaranteed saving.
For a personal-finance decision, compare the actual checkout price with any subscription fee you would otherwise pay. A subscription can make sense if you already use the service for other books; buying a single copy may be cheaper if this is the only title you need. Taxes, shipping, currency conversion and regional pricing can change the final amount.
