Can it replace a monitor or drive multiple displays?
As an all-in-one, the M90a Pro Gen 4 includes its own 27-inch display, so it can serve as the main screen for its built-in PC. Lenovo also describes optional Thunderbolt 3 functionality for sharing a display and files with another computer. That feature is distinct from the Thunderbolt 4 connection and should be checked on the specific configuration.

Lenovo’s launch information describes external-display workflows, but the supplied product details do not establish the maximum number of external displays, supported resolutions, or refresh rates. If you need a multi-monitor setup, confirm those limits and the relevant ports for the exact model and regional configuration rather than assuming that Thunderbolt 4 alone guarantees a particular display arrangement.
Does it have RTX graphics and Thunderbolt 4?
Yes, Lenovo lists an optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU and Thunderbolt 4 among the platform’s capabilities. “Optional” matters: RTX graphics are not necessarily included in every M90a Pro Gen 4. Check the SKU or seller’s configuration listing for the GPU and the number and type of ports before relying on either feature.

Lenovo states a maximum Thunderbolt 4 transfer rate of 40 Gbps. This is the interface’s stated maximum, not a promise that every real-world transfer will reach that speed; the connected device, cable, workload, and configuration affect results. Lenovo also documents optional Thunderbolt 3 for sharing a display and files with another computer.
What privacy, security and workplace features does Lenovo describe?
Lenovo lists Human Presence Detection and automatic screen blurring, intended to respond to a user stepping away. Security and manageability features named by Lenovo include TPM 2.0, ThinkShield, and Smart USB Protection. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not independent test results; their availability and behavior can depend on configuration and software.

How flexible are the stand and mounting options?
Lenovo describes UltraFlex and full-function stand options, as well as support for a 100 mm VESA mount in its PSREF. The available stand can affect screen positioning, so verify which one is included in the configuration you are considering. A compatible VESA arm or wall mount must match the mounting pattern and safely support the unit’s weight.
An optional conference-call base adds four microphones and Harman speakers, according to Lenovo’s product specification reference. It is an optional accessory rather than a feature to assume is included with every system.

Is the ThinkCentre M90a Pro Gen 4 still available?
Lenovo’s September 2023 announcement said the product would be available in select markets. Lenovo’s PSREF currently labels the listed configurations “Withdrawn.” Those statements do not establish that every configuration is unavailable everywhere: stock, pricing, and listings can vary by country and seller.
