Infinix Mobility ranked No. 6 on Fast Company’s 10-company list of the most innovative companies in Asia-Pacific for 2024, published March 19, 2024. It was a regional editorial ranking—not a global technology league table, laboratory test, or certification.
What Infinix was recognized for
Fast Company described Infinix as a Hong Kong-based smartphone maker focused on affordable, feature-rich devices for younger consumers. Its description linked the recognition to three elements:
- Affordable smartphones that incorporate high-tech features.
- Expansion into markets in Africa and the Middle East.
- Support for youth STEM programs in those regions.
The wording matters: Fast Company recognized the company’s product strategy and impact, rather than naming one handset as an award winner.
Technologies Infinix highlighted
In an April 3, 2024 announcement distributed through PR Newswire, Infinix associated the recognition with several technologies:

How Fast Company selected companies
The ranking was part of Fast Company’s broader 2024 World’s Most Innovative Companies program, which recognized 606 organizations across 58 categories and regions. Its methodology describes a months-long process involving editors, writers, applications, and other companies under consideration.
Entries were assessed against four criteria:
- Innovation: a clear innovation that distinguishes the company from competitors or broader industry trends.
- Impact: evidence that the innovation affected the company, its industry, or culture, such as user growth, revenue, or other measurable effects.
- Timeliness: meaningful progress within the previous 12 months or a recent advance.
- Relevance: a connection to current events or wider industry and social issues.

Why a value-focused phone brand could qualify
Infinix’s placement suggests that the editors considered innovation partly in terms of access: bringing advanced features to younger and price-sensitive users, not merely producing the most expensive or technically extreme devices. That is an interpretation of the published description, not a separate statement of the judges’ detailed reasoning.
The recognition also places an affordable-device strategy in the same regional conversation as electric transport, climate solutions, artificial intelligence, healthcare, and industrial digitization. It does not establish that Infinix outperformed those companies on a common technical metric; the list compares organizations across different industries.

What the ranking does—and does not—prove
What it establishes
- Fast Company selected Infinix Mobility for its 2024 Asia-Pacific list.
- Infinix held the sixth position among the 10 companies named in that regional selection.
- The published rationale emphasized affordable, high-tech smartphones, regional expansion, and youth STEM initiatives.
What it does not establish
- It is not a global No. 6 ranking. The placement applies only to Fast Company’s Asia-Pacific selection.
- It is not a handset performance test, patent ranking, market-share table, or independently audited innovation index.
- It does not prove that Infinix phones are the best, offer the best value, or outperform competing models.
- It does not independently verify the real-world performance of the 260W charging, AI noise reduction, or Folax features cited by Infinix.
- It does not identify a single product as the sole reason for the company’s selection.
The available sources describe an editorial process based on applications and companies considered by the editors. They do not establish whether Infinix paid an application fee or had a commercial relationship with the publisher, so no conclusion about that question can be drawn from this ranking alone.
What this means for consumers
For a prospective buyer, the ranking is context rather than a purchasing verdict. It indicates that Fast Company viewed Infinix’s approach to accessible smartphone features as noteworthy in the Asia-Pacific region. A buying decision still requires checking the specific model, local software support, charging compatibility, warranty, network bands, updates, and independent reviews.
The Bottom Line
Infinix Mobility genuinely ranked No. 6 on Fast Company’s 2024 list of the 10 most innovative companies in Asia-Pacific. The recognition reflects an editorial assessment of the company’s affordable, feature-rich smartphone strategy and regional impact—not independent proof that every Infinix device is superior.
