BeenVerified is a people-search service that compiles information from multiple sources into searchable reports. Treat a report as a lead to verify—not as proof that every address, phone number, or record belongs to the same person. The current standard price and official checkout terms could not be verified, so check the offer and renewal details shown to you before subscribing.
What BeenVerified does—and what a report can tell you
BeenVerified is best understood as a consumer lookup and aggregation service, not a verified background-screening result. The Federal Trade Commission describes people-search sites as data brokers that gather information from varied sources, including other brokers, publicly viewable social profiles, and public records. Those sources can include property, voter registration, court, vital-record, and professional-license records; that category-level list is not a confirmed inventory for every BeenVerified report. FTC guidance on people-search sites
A report may bring together details such as age, addresses, property, relatives, and criminal or civil records. But the FTC’s description of the category does not establish that a particular result is complete, current, or correctly matched. Similar names, stale source records, or information about relatives can lead to mistaken connections. No reliable BeenVerified-specific error rate or data-refresh schedule was established here.
Do not use a people-search report as the basis for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or another consequential screening decision. If you need a formal screening process, check the relevant laws and use an appropriately authorized source; this review does not establish BeenVerified’s current legal terms.

BeenVerified pricing: verify the offer at checkout
There is no verified current standard price to quote. BBB complaint responses describe specific customer accounts that began with a $1 seven-day trial and renewed at $32.89 per month if not canceled before the trial ended. Those are examples from individual cases, not a universal or necessarily current offer. The BBB page also shows that offers have differed over time. BBB complaints and business responses
TechRadar reported historical pricing of $36.89 per month or $71.94 for three months ($23.98 per month), and said the price was not transparent until late in signup. Those review figures are historical, not a reliable statement of today’s offer. TechRadar’s BeenVerified review

Before entering payment details, record the exact terms displayed on your own checkout screen:
- Any trial or introductory charge and its duration
- The amount charged after the introductory period, billing interval, and renewal date
- Whether the subscription renews automatically
- The cancellation method and the deadline for avoiding the next charge
BBB complaints include reports of unexpected or unclear recurring charges; business replies say subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. A complaint database is not a representative customer survey and does not decide whether every allegation is correct. Save the checkout terms and confirmation so you can compare them with later charges.

Cancellation: confirm the route in your account
BBB business replies say customers can request cancellation and that future cycles will not be billed. The current cancellation channels and steps were not verified, so use the instructions available in your subscriber account or contact channel and save confirmation of the request. Check the account afterward for the effective cancellation date and any remaining access or billing status.
Opting out of BeenVerified listings
The FTC says most people-search sites provide a way to opt out of displaying existing information. You can submit requests site by site without paying a removal service, or use a paid service to make requests on your behalf. An opt-out suppresses a listing on that site; it does not erase the underlying public record, remove the same information from every broker, or guarantee that it will not reappear. Information about you may also appear in a relative’s or associate’s report. FTC opt-out guidance

Submitting a request may require identity information. Consider what you are comfortable disclosing to confirm a match. In individual BBB replies, BeenVerified says processing can occur in stages, cached pages may remain visible temporarily, and a differently matched record may appear after an earlier listing was suppressed. These are company statements in complaint responses, not a guaranteed timeline or a complete account of the current process. BBB complaints and business responses
Choosing between manual opt-outs and a paid service
| Approach | What to weigh |
|---|---|
| Manual requests | No fee to submit site-by-site requests, according to the FTC; requires your time and follow-up across sites. |
| Paid removal service | Compare which sites it covers, whether it shows evidence of completed requests, how often it rescans, and what identity details it requires. Coverage and results are not guaranteed. |
| Leave listings in place | No request work or identity disclosure to a removal service, but existing listings may remain available on the sites displaying them. |
A 2025 preprint examining four paid removal services found that participants judged only 41.1% of records identified by those services to be personally identifiable information about themselves; it also reported that the services failed to remove the majority of identified PII records. This is a study-specific result, not a measurement of BeenVerified or all removal services. 2025 study of personal-data removal services

Who might find BeenVerified useful?
A consumer who wants a convenient starting point for looking up a person or organizing public-facing information may find an aggregation service useful, provided they independently verify important details. The service is a poor fit if you need authoritative confirmation, a guaranteed complete record, or a lawful screening decision for a high-stakes purpose. The uncertain current pricing also makes checking the checkout terms essential before deciding whether the convenience is worth the recurring cost.
