Anker Recall List: Affected Power Banks and Speakers and What to Do

Anker has issued several separate recalls for power banks and speakers because affected lithium-ion batteries can overheat and pose fire or burn hazards. The recalls do not cover every Anker product—or every unit of each listed model. Check your exact model and serial number through Anker’s U.S. recall hub before deciding whether your device is included. The U.S. figures below come from separate Consumer Product Safety Commission notices and should not be added together as one recall total.

How to check whether your Anker product is affected

  1. Find the product’s exact model number. On power banks, check the back, side, or bottom; for the A1263, the model and serial number are on the bottom. Speakers have model and serial information on the underside.
  2. Find the serial number. For power banks in the five-model recall, the serial number is next to “SN Code.”
  3. Open Anker’s U.S. recall hub and select the recall that matches your product. Enter the serial number in that recall’s eligibility checker.
  4. If you live outside the United States, use the page for your market. Anker provides separate Canada and Europe pages; available remedies and instructions may differ.

A matching model number is not enough to establish that a unit is recalled. In particular, A1647 and A1652 appear in more than one notice, and eligibility depends on the applicable recall and serial number. Soundcore says its A3102 recall check requires a 16-digit serial number; that condition applies to that speaker check, not to Anker products generally. See Soundcore’s A3102 instructions.

Which Anker products have been recalled?

The following U.S. recall notices describe distinct product groups, dates, reported incidents, and remedies. CPSC unit counts are approximate and specific to each notice.

Recall notice Products and models Approximate units and reported incidents Remedy
Sept. 18, 2025 Anker power banks: A1647, A1652, A1257, A1681, A1689 About 481,000; 33 reports of fire or explosion, four minor burn injuries, and one report of substantial property damage Cash refund or Anker gift card, subject to the recall process
June 12, 2025 Anker PowerCore 10000, model A1263 About 1,158,000; 19 reports of fire or explosion, two minor burn injuries, and more than $60,700 in property damage Free replacement
Oct. 17, 2024 Anker power banks: A1642, A1647, A1652 About 2,100; 28 reports of overheating, explosion, or fire and two reported hand-burn injuries Free replacement
Dec. 5, 2024 Soundcore A3102 Bluetooth speaker and AnkerWork PowerConf S3 A3302 speakers; battery-pack identifiers A3102016, A3302011, A3302031 About 69,000 U.S. units and 9,764 sold in Canada; 33 overheating reports, including smoke and small fires, and one minor burn injury Free replacement

Five power-bank models in the September 2025 notice

The models are A1647 (20,000mAh, 22.5W, with a built-in USB-C cable), A1652 (MagGo, 10,000mAh, 7.5W), A1257 (22.5W maximum output), A1681 (Zolo, 30W maximum output), and A1689 (Zolo, 30W maximum output). Anker attributed the risk to a potential issue involving lithium-ion cells from a single vendor. Its recall page says affected products may overheat, melt, smoke, or catch fire. Anker described the voluntary recall as initiated in June 2025; the CPSC notice is dated September 18, 2025. CPSC lists approximately 481,000 units and reports of fire and explosion. Details and eligibility are in the CPSC notice.

PowerCore 10000, model A1263

This U.S. recall covers qualifying A1263 units sold from June 2016 through December 2022. CPSC lists about 1,158,000 units. For the free replacement claim, the requested photo must show the model number, serial number, owner’s name, photo date, and the word “recalled” written on the power bank in permanent marker. CPSC says a receipt may be requested but is not required. Follow the claim instructions in the CPSC A1263 notice.

Earlier A1642, A1647, and A1652 power-bank notice

A separate CPSC notice dated October 17, 2024 covers about 2,100 units sold from January through July 2024. It offers replacement and reports 28 overheating, explosion, or fire incidents and two hand-burn injuries. Because A1647 and A1652 also appear in the September 2025 notice, do not infer eligibility from the model alone; use the serial-number check for the appropriate recall. See the CPSC notice and Anker’s recall page.

Soundcore and AnkerWork speakers

The speaker recall covers black Soundcore A3102 Bluetooth speakers and AnkerWork PowerConf S3 A3302 speakers, including affected battery-pack identifiers A3102016, A3302011, and A3302031. The U.S. notice says the products were sold on Amazon.com from March through October 2023. Turn off an affected speaker and disconnect it from a charger or other external power before proceeding through the replacement instructions. See the CPSC speaker notice, Soundcore A3102 instructions, and AnkerWork A3302 recall page.

What to do if your device is affected

  1. Stop using it. Do not charge a recalled power bank or connect it to another device. For a recalled speaker, turn it off and disconnect it from external power.
  2. Submit the claim for that recall. Follow the relevant Anker or Soundcore process; a refund or gift card applies to the five-model 2025 notice, while the other notices listed above offer replacement.
  3. Provide only the evidence requested. For A1263, use the specific photo requirements above. Other programs or countries may request different documentation. Do not keep using a device to take extra photos or wait for a response.
  4. Arrange disposal using official instructions. CPSC says not to place recalled lithium-ion batteries in household trash, curbside recycling, or ordinary retail battery collection boxes. Contact your municipal household hazardous-waste facility first and confirm it accepts recalled lithium-ion devices. If it does not, ask the municipality what to do next.

If a battery is swollen, hot, damaged, smoking, or actively burning, do not treat it as a routine recall return. Contact local emergency services for an immediate hazard rather than attempting ordinary transport or disposal.

What the recall figures and remedies mean

The CPSC figures are tied to individual notices, not to one unified recall. The notices cover different dates, populations, products, and in the speaker case both U.S. and Canadian sales. The CPSC power-bank unit counts are U.S.-focused; the speaker notice separately identifies 9,764 units sold in Canada. These figures do not establish the worldwide number of affected products.

Affected products were sold through different retailers and marketplaces depending on the notice, so a purchase from a particular seller does not by itself establish eligibility. The serial-number result and the recall instructions for your country are the useful checks. A product’s apparent normal operation, age, capacity, or appearance also cannot confirm that it is safe or recalled.
