The advertised Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 Black Friday promotion is not live. The offer reported on November 12, 2024, ran from November 8 through November 17, 2024. It promised up to $800 in Flip6 savings and up to $1,200 in Fold6 trade-in credit, with additional conditions. Those terms should not be treated as current pricing. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, and no 2026 promotion is established here.
A currently observed Walmart marketplace listing shows a 512GB, factory-unlocked US-version Flip6 at $859.97 new or $497.24 restored/like new. It is sold and shipped by Reliant Cellular, not Walmart directly, so seller, condition, warranty and return terms matter as much as the sticker price.
What the 2024 Black Friday promotion actually offered
The original report described Samsung offers available November 8–17, 2024. “Up to” referred to maximum promotional value, not an unconditional price cut for every buyer.
| Phone or channel | Reported maximum benefit | What it required or implied |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Flip6 | Up to $800 total savings | Up to $650 instant trade-in credit, or $150 off without a trade-in; value depended on the submitted phone and eligibility. |
| Galaxy Z Fold6 | Up to $1,200 trade-in credit plus up to $300 off select colors | The headline maximum required an eligible trade-in and qualifying color; the report did not establish a standard no-trade-in cash price. |
| Samsung app purchase | Additional 10% off and a $50 first-time-shopper credit | App, account and promotional restrictions applied; the $50 benefit was promotional credit rather than cash. |

What a real checkout calculation should show
Do not compare a headline maximum with another phone’s ordinary price. Write down each component separately:
Phone price + sales tax + required accessories or protection − eligible trade-in value − genuine instant discount = effective out-of-pocket cost.
Rank #2
- Offers a 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X folding main display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, giving you fluid visuals for media, gaming, and multitasking while still folding into a compact, stylish form.
Handle gift cards and app credits conservatively. A credit that expires, requires another purchase, cannot pay tax or shipping, or is restricted to Samsung products is worth less than an immediate cash reduction.
Current Flip6 example: a marketplace listing, not a Black Friday deal
The inspected Walmart listing describes a US-version, factory-unlocked 512GB Galaxy Z Flip6 at $859.97 new or $497.24 restored/like new. The listing identifies Reliant Cellular as the seller and shows free 30-day returns. It also displayed optional accident plans priced at $99 for two years or $129 for three years. Prices, stock and terms can change, and “restored” is not the same as new or manufacturer-refurbished.

Fold6 or Flip6: which form factor fits your budget?
Choose the Galaxy Z Fold6 for large-screen work
- Its tablet-like inner display suits documents, spreadsheets, reading and multitasking.
- It is larger and typically costs substantially more, both at purchase and when protected.
- An S Pen is a separate accessory, so include it in the budget if stylus use is important.
Choose the Galaxy Z Flip6 for portability
- It folds into a much smaller shape while opening into a conventional smartphone.
- The lower purchase cost and pocketable design suit buyers who do not need a tablet-size screen.
- FlexWindow interactions and hands-free photography are central advantages of the clamshell design.
The Fold6 is not automatically the better deal. Buy it only if you will regularly use the inner display; otherwise the Flip6 can deliver the more rational total cost.

How to evaluate an older foldable in 2026
A 2024 model can make sense at a genuine clearance price, but compare its final cost with the newer Galaxy Fold and Flip generations available when you buy. Check Samsung’s current support pages for remaining software-support duration rather than assuming a policy from 2024. A price close to a newer model is a reason to wait.
- Buy when: the device is new or clearly graded, the seller and warranty are credible, the form factor is specifically what you want, and the unconditional price is meaningfully below newer alternatives.
- Wait when: savings depend almost entirely on a maximum trade-in, the seller is unfamiliar, the phone is imported, the warranty is unclear, or the final price is near a current-generation model.
Trade-in credit is conditional value
Trade-in value may appear as an instant discount, a later bill credit or a combination. The old phone normally must be shipped by a deadline, and the final value can be reduced if its condition differs from the description. Broken screens, activation locks, unpaid financing, water damage or missing components can invalidate or lower credit.

- Back up data, remove accounts and factory-reset the device.
- Follow the seller’s packing and shipping instructions, then retain tracking and acceptance records.
- Read the adjustment and dispute process before accepting the quoted value.
Marketplace and refurbished checks
Before paying, verify:
- Seller name, physical support route and feedback; product reviews may not measure seller service.
- New, used, restored or manufacturer-refurbished condition.
- US model number, factory-unlocked claim and compatibility with your carrier; unlocked does not guarantee every network feature.
- Warranty provider, return deadline, restocking fees and whether accessories are included.
- IMEI status and confirmation that the phone is not financed, blacklisted or account-locked.
For a restored foldable, test the hinge, crease area, inner and outer displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, charging, wireless charging and biometric sensors during the return period.
Warranty, insurance and repair exposure
A manufacturer warranty, retailer return policy, refurbisher warranty, carrier insurance and third-party protection plan are separate protections. Read exclusions for hinge, crease, cosmetic, liquid and accidental damage; a plan that excludes the failure most likely to be expensive may have limited value. The Walmart plan prices above apply only to that inspected listing and are not universal.
Checklist before you click Buy
- Confirm storage, model region and condition.
- Record the ordinary cash price before trade-in or credits.
- Calculate tax, case, screen protection and any insurance.
- Confirm trade-in eligibility, shipment deadline and possible value adjustment.
- Check warranty and return terms for the actual seller.
- Compare the result with newer foldables and authorized-retailer offers.
- Save screenshots of the checkout terms and promotional expiration date.

The Bottom Line
The 2024 Black Friday deal has expired. In 2026, buy a Fold6 or Flip6 only when the final price after tax, trade-in conditions and protection is clearly below comparable newer phones—and when the seller’s warranty and return terms are acceptable. Treat the $497.24 restored or $859.97 new Walmart prices as one changing marketplace snapshot, not as a guaranteed Black Friday benchmark.
