Yes—Boost Mobile is advertising a real $25-per-month Unlimited plan with AutoPay. New customers currently pay $10 per month for their first three months, then $25 before taxes and fees. The “for life” promise applies only while the qualifying account stays active and in good standing under Boost’s applicable terms; disabling AutoPay raises the listed rate to $30. The plan also includes 30GB of premium high-speed data per billing cycle, after which Boost says speeds may be reduced to 512kbps.
How the promotion works
Boost’s current offer is aimed at new customers. Eligibility language covers people who bring an eligible device or buy a device meeting the offer’s stated price threshold; confirm the exact requirement at checkout because promotions can change.

What you get on the $25 plan
- Unlimited talk and text.
- Unlimited data access in the United States, subject to the premium-data management described below.
- A $5 monthly AutoPay discount that produces the advertised $25 rate.
- Bring-your-own-device or Boost-device activation, provided the phone meets Boost’s requirements.
- A 30-day guarantee advertised by Boost; review the guarantee’s current cancellation, activation-fee and device terms before relying on it.
5G requires a compatible phone and is not available everywhere. Boost describes service as using its nationwide 5G network and partner networks, so actual performance depends on local coverage, the partner involved, your device, indoor signal and congestion. “Nationwide” is not a promise of universal availability.
What “for life” really means
Read “for life” as a conditional price lock, not a lifetime service contract. Boost’s terms tie the $25 rate to the qualifying account remaining active and in good standing.

- Taxes and fees are extra. The advertised figure excludes taxes, regulatory fees and surcharges, so your final bill will not necessarily be exactly $25.
- Do not cancel, pause or casually change plans. Boost says switching plans can remove promotional pricing or other benefits. The rate cannot be banked after cancellation.
- Your activation date matters. Boost says specific terms may vary by when the line was activated. Save the terms shown at checkout.
Boost’s terms allow up to 10 lines, but a particular promotion can impose a lower line limit or different eligibility rules.
The key limitation: only 30GB at premium speed
The plan is unlimited in the sense that data access can continue after the allowance, but only the first 30GB each billing cycle is designated premium high-speed data. Boost says speeds may be reduced to 512kbps afterward; this is not described as a complete data cutoff.

At that reduced rate, ordinary messaging, email and light web pages may remain workable. High-resolution video, large downloads, game updates and sustained hotspot-style use could be impractical. The exact experience will vary with signal and network conditions, so do not treat 512kbps as a guaranteed speed test result.
Is hotspot included?
Do not assume that the $25 plan includes hotspot. Boost’s base-plan materials describe hotspot as an available add-on, while the plan comparison explicitly includes hotspot with the higher tiers. Check the add-on price and allowance for your line before switching.

- From month four, budget $25 before taxes and fees only if AutoPay remains active.
- If AutoPay is removed or fails, use $30 before taxes and fees in your comparison.
- Add any device payments, protection plan, hotspot or other optional services.
Boost says customers can cancel service at any time when they are not financing a device. A financed phone can still leave you owing the remaining device balance even though the wireless service itself has no contract.

Bring your own phone and check coverage first
Boost permits compatible bring-your-own phones as well as Boost purchases. Before ordering, verify that your unlocked model and eSIM or physical-SIM setup are supported, and that it has the 5G bands you need. Then check coverage at home, work and places you routinely travel. Partner-network coverage and performance are not guaranteed by Boost in every area.

Visible states that its $25 price includes taxes and government fees and is not an introductory rate. Details are on Visible’s plans page. Neither carrier’s coverage should be judged nationally without checking your locations.
Who should consider Boost’s offer?
- People who normally use less than about 30GB of high-speed data per month.
- BYOD customers with a compatible unlocked phone.
- Customers comfortable keeping AutoPay enabled and paying taxes and fees separately.
- Readers who value a long-term price lock more than included hotspot or international features.
Who should skip it?
- Anyone who regularly exceeds 30GB and needs consistently high speeds.
- People who depend on included hotspot.
- Frequent international travelers needing roaming or international calling in the base plan.
- Customers who require taxes-included billing or premium priority during congestion.
- Anyone with weak Boost or partner coverage, or who is financing a phone and needs to leave without device obligations.
The separate Chime credit promotion
Boost also advertises a separate offer that can credit up to $25 per month to a Chime account for up to one year. It is not part of the ordinary $25 plan and is conditional: you must join Chime, receive a qualifying direct deposit of at least $500, set up Boost AutoPay through Chime and satisfy Chime’s separate terms. Review Chime’s offer terms; Chime identifies itself as a financial technology company, not a bank.
Bottom line
Boost’s $25 Unlimited offer is genuine, but the accurate shorthand is “$25 with AutoPay, before taxes and fees, while the qualifying account remains active.” It is strongest for moderate-data BYOD users who have good local coverage and want predictable base pricing. Check the written activation terms, final checkout total, device compatibility, hotspot needs and the 30GB premium-data limit before enrolling.
