The report put the 256GB model at $1,099, down from a stated $1,299 starting price. Current Amazon pricing, stock, seller, and condition are unverified, so treat those figures as historical rather than a price you can claim now. Droid Life’s original deal report
What the 2024 Amazon deal included
Droid Life described a direct Amazon price reduction, not a carrier bill-credit offer, trade-in promotion, rebate, or coupon. Buyers reportedly selected a storage size and color and added the phone to the cart; no trade-in or extra code was required. The post mentioned 256GB and 512GB configurations, but specified only the 256GB starting deal price. It did not establish a price for the 512GB model or include the 1TB model.
| Configuration | Historical price information |
|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,099 reported deal price, compared with a stated $1,299 starting price |
| 512GB | Price not stated in the deal report |
| 1TB | Not included in the deal report; the review stated a $1,659 launch price |
The launch-price figures are historical, not a sound basis for judging a 2026 listing. Amazon prices can vary by storage, color, seller, condition, and time; do not assume another configuration receives the same reduction. Droid Life’s review gives the launch-era pricing and specifications.
How to check an S24 Ultra listing before paying
The original offer is over two years old, and the short link attached to that report does not establish current stock or pricing. If you find an S24 Ultra listing now, evaluate the actual checkout offer rather than relying on the old $1,099 figure.

#1 Best Overall
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
- Choose the exact storage size and color you want, then confirm the price shown for that variant.
- Check the condition field. A renewed, refurbished, or open-box phone is not equivalent to a new retail unit.
- Review “Sold by” and “Ships from,” along with the return window and warranty provider. Marketplace inventory may have different terms from a retailer-sold phone.
- Confirm the exact model number and that it is a U.S.-compatible, factory-unlocked unit if those are requirements for you. Do not infer unlock status from the product title.
- Review shipping and add your local sales tax. Check the final total in the cart before placing the order.
For a like-for-like comparison, compare new with new, the same storage capacity, U.S. model with U.S. model, and equivalent warranty and return terms. A low listing price may reflect an imported model, carrier-specific device, or different condition rather than a comparable discount.
What the S24 Ultra offers
At launch, the U.S. Galaxy S24 Ultra had a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Its rear cameras were a 200MP main camera, 50MP 5x telephoto, 10MP 3x telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide. It also has an integrated S Pen, IP68 water and dust resistance, and storage options up to 1TB. These are launch-era specifications, not a claim that it remains Samsung’s current flagship.

Droid Life’s review praised the display, hardware, battery experience, camera versatility, S Pen, and software support. Those are the reviewer’s assessments, not guarantees of results for every owner. The review also noted the phone’s large size, lack of a headphone jack and expandable storage, and charging speed as drawbacks; it described some camera changes from the S23 Ultra as incremental.
Software support and the age trade-off
Samsung announced seven years of operating-system and security updates for the S24 lineup, a commitment the review characterized as extending into roughly the early 2030s. That is a manufacturer support commitment, not a promise that each update arrives at the same time in every region. Check Samsung’s current support information for the schedule applicable to your model and region.

The phone can still suit someone who specifically wants Samsung’s S Pen, a large high-resolution display, a versatile multi-camera system, or Samsung’s Android features, and does not need the newest hardware. A large genuine discount on a new, U.S.-compatible phone with a dependable seller and clear warranty can improve the value proposition.

Consider a newer Galaxy Ultra if its effective price is close: it may offer a newer processor and a longer remaining support runway. A buyer prioritizing low cost may find refurbished stock, but should weigh its condition, battery expectations, parts, warranty, and returns separately. Anyone choosing a carrier promotion should compare its full terms—such as a new line, eligible plan, installment agreement, port-in, or bill credits—against the simple cash price. Those conditions are different from the historical Amazon deal.
