Mukesh Ambani’s children have publicly described roles across several Reliance businesses and philanthropic organizations, but their work is not identical. Reliance Industries identifies Akash as chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, describes Isha’s responsibilities across retail, digital services and education, and lists Anant on the boards of several Reliance entities while emphasizing sustainability and wildlife conservation. Those roles show public involvement; they do not establish a final succession plan.

Who are Mukesh Ambani’s three children?

Akash and Isha Ambani are twins, and Anant is their younger brother, according to a profile by KidsCo. That profile reports that the twins were born on 23 October 1991 and Anant on 10 April 1995. Reliance Industries’ biographies of the siblings do not provide birth dates, so these dates should be understood as secondary-profile reporting.

What does Akash Ambani do?

Reliance Industries says Akash has been chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited since June 2022. The company biography describes his involvement in developing Jio products and services and in Reliance’s retail businesses; it also mentions his involvement in Mumbai Indians management. Reliance lists a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brown University.

What does Isha Ambani do?

Reliance Industries says Isha graduated from Yale University in 2013 with a double major in Psychology and South Asian Studies, then earned an MBA from Stanford University in 2018. Its company biography describes her leadership work across Reliance Retail, Reliance Jio, Reliance Foundation, Reliance Foundation Institution of Education and Research, and Dhirubhai Ambani International School.

The company also identifies Isha as vice-chairperson of Dhirubhai Ambani International School and says she is leading planning and development of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School. Its biography notes that she received a 2025 Express Awards for Women Entrepreneurs honor; that is an award listed by the company, not an independent measure of business performance.

What does Anant Ambani do?

Reliance Industries lists Anant on the boards of Jio Platforms, Reliance Retail Ventures, Reliance Foundation, Reliance Foundation Institution of Education and Research, and Neutron Enterprises. The company’s biography associates his work with sustainability, ecological restoration, and wildlife welfare, and says he received the Global Humanitarian Award for Leadership in Wildlife Conservation.

The biography does not establish a specific Reliance executive title for Anant. Board membership is a formal role, but by itself it does not show that someone manages a particular business or has executive control over it.

How do the siblings’ public Reliance roles differ?

Do their roles reveal Mukesh Ambani’s succession plan?

No definitive allocation of future leadership is established by the public biographies and family statement cited here. Reliance describes current roles and board memberships, but the material does not specify who will inherit or control particular businesses.

In Reliance Industries’ profile of Nita Ambani, she is quoted as saying: “I think Akash, Isha and Anant, and a whole lot of the young generation is going to be the next leadership for Reliance and for India.” This expresses her view of a younger generation’s future; it is not a published succession arrangement.

Corporate positions can change over time. The descriptions above reflect Reliance Industries’ published biographies, rather than a guarantee of the siblings’ future responsibilities.
