Instead of making employees navigate separate support, product, engineering and customer systems, DevRev said users could ask questions, obtain contextual answers and trigger governed workflows across connected data. The announcement was a product-positioning and enhancement release, not independent proof that every capability was generally available or that its performance claims had been validated. By February 2026, DevRev’s public materials had shifted emphasis to an AI teammate called Computer, with Mini, Pro and Max plans.
What DevRev announced on October 17, 2024
DevRev’s October 17, 2024 Business Wire release presented “SaaS 2.0” as a new model for enterprise software built around conversation rather than application navigation. The release highlighted enhancements to AgentOS, an AI-native platform that DevRev said connects product, customer and operational information through a knowledge graph.
The announcement grouped the platform into three capabilities:
- Search: finding and synthesizing structured and unstructured information.
- Workflows: combining automation with rules and human oversight.
- Analytics: producing contextual answers instead of relying only on static dashboards.
It also introduced or emphasized Conversational Search, Conversational Incident Management, an On-Call Agent, Conversational Customer 360 and a no-code Conversational AI Builder. The release did not provide a complete availability matrix, independent benchmarks, deployment schedule or full technical specification. Consequently, “SaaS 2.0” should be read as DevRev’s strategic terminology, not an established industry standard.

What “SaaS 2.0” means in DevRev’s framing
| Conventional SaaS | DevRev’s proposed model |
|---|---|
| Users open separate applications and navigate menus. | Users ask questions or request actions conversationally. |
| Customer, product and operational data sit in separate systems of record. | Those data types are linked in a common model. |
| Dashboards expose preselected information. | AI interprets current context and returns an answer. |
| Workflows are configured in advance. | Agents can select actions within workflow and approval controls. |
| Support, product and engineering exchange handoffs. | Those teams work from connected customer and product context. |
The practical distinction is not simply a chat window added to an existing application. DevRev’s claim is that the data model, search, automation and agent layer are designed together. Whether that produces better results than an assistant attached to an incumbent system depends on data quality, integrations, permissions and workflow design.
AgentOS: the proposed architecture
DevRev described AgentOS as the foundation for its conversational capabilities. Its knowledge graph was presented as a unifying layer for customer records, tickets, opportunities, product information, incidents and interactions. The platform was also said to handle unstructured material such as documents, videos, logs, email, Slack and live-chat content.
In the announced design, agents could search the graph, perform analysis and initiate actions. That could mean answering a question about a customer, routing a support case, identifying a product trend or starting an incident workflow.
The release does not establish how the graph is constructed or maintained. Buyers should verify:

Rank #2
- Whether the graph is a native semantic model, an indexing and synchronization layer, a proprietary object model with connectors, or a combination.
- How quickly each connector updates.
- Whether source-system permissions are inherited accurately.
- Which models and retrieval methods are used.
- How contradictory, missing or stale records are handled.
- What evidence and source links appear with an answer.
DevRev’s Marketplace lists integrations and imports for systems including Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk, Jira Service Management, Intercom, Document360 and Planhat, as well as workplace tools such as Slack, Notion, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. Listing an integration does not prove that it is real-time, bidirectional or equal in depth to a native connection.
The three pillars in practice
Conversational Search
DevRev described Conversational Search as a prebuilt agent that can combine records, tickets, opportunity stages, feedback, conversations and product updates. Its intended users include sales, support, product and engineering teams seeking trends or actionable answers rather than a list of matching documents.
That involves four different capabilities:
- Retrieval: finding relevant records.
- Synthesis: combining information from several sources.
- Analysis: identifying patterns or possible relationships.
- Action: changing a record, routing work or launching a workflow.
A buyer should test each level separately. Ask whether answers link to source records, respect user permissions, show data freshness and acknowledge uncertainty. Also test conflicting records and unsupported questions. A fluent summary is not proof that the underlying records are complete or correctly interpreted.
Conversational workflows and incident management
The announcement positioned workflows as a blend of predefined rules, AI decisions, human review and current context from the knowledge graph. Conversational Incident Management and an On-Call Agent were intended to cover more than asking an AI what went wrong. A production implementation must ingest alerts, deduplicate and correlate them, classify severity, assign ownership, escalate, follow on-call schedules, execute runbooks, preserve an audit trail and support approval or rollback.
Rank #3
DevRev said its On-Call Agent reduced incident-resolution time by 30%. That is a company-reported claim in the launch release; the release does not state the sample size, baseline, timeframe, methodology or independent validation. During a pilot, measure each stage separately: alert-to-acknowledgment time, routing accuracy, time to mitigation, unauthorized actions and false deduplication.
Conversational Customer 360 and analytics
Customer 360 was presented as a conversational alternative to reactive dashboards. The proposed view combines product usage, support tickets, sessions, incidents, engagement and health indicators so a team can ask about a customer, investigate risk and act before a renewal or support problem worsens.
A joined data set does not automatically create a valid health score or churn model. Usage events may be delayed, support records may be incomplete and a correlation between incidents and renewal risk does not prove causation. Customer-health outputs therefore need validated labels, documented coverage and carefully scoped permissions across sales, support, product and engineering.
DevRev’s assertion that Customer 360 captures more touchpoints than competitors is positioning from the company, not an independently established comparison.

The no-code Conversational AI Builder
DevRev also described a no-code builder for custom support and operational agents. The target audience appears to include support leaders, product managers and business operators, not only software developers.
“No-code” does not mean no implementation. Before deploying an agent, establish:
- Which objects, connectors and records it can access.
- Which actions it may perform and which require approval.
- Whether actions are logged, reversible and attributable to a user or agent.
- How prompts, tools, policies and escalation rules are versioned.
- Whether historical conversations can be used for testing.
- How development, staging and production environments are separated.
- How quality, drift, unsafe decisions and abstentions are monitored.
DevRev claimed custom agents could reach up to 95% accuracy in task completion. The release does not define “accuracy,” the task mix, evaluation set, human baseline or test conditions. Treat the figure as a company claim until those details are supplied, and evaluate the exact tasks your organization expects the agent to perform.
What evidence supports the launch claims?
| Claim | Evidence in the announcement | Appropriate interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| 30% faster incident resolution | DevRev’s own release | “DevRev says its On-Call Agent reduced resolution time by 30%.” |
| Up to 95% task-completion accuracy | DevRev’s own release; methodology not supplied | “The company claims up to 95% accuracy under unspecified evaluation conditions.” |
| Bolt’s median resolution time fell from 15 days to 4 days | Bolt customer testimonial | “Bolt reported the change”; it is not a controlled, general benchmark. |
| More connected than competitors | Vendor positioning | Compare equivalent integrations, governance, functionality and total cost before concluding superiority. |
Bolt’s testimonial also mentioned routine-ticket deflection, fewer duplicate tickets and nearly 100% SLA compliance. The release does not identify the before-and-after periods, ticket volume, staffing changes, SLA definitions or the share attributable to DevRev. It is useful as an early-adopter account, not as evidence that every deployment will produce the same result.

What changed by 2026?
DevRev’s public product language has evolved. On February 9, 2026, the company introduced its AI teammate as Computer in a post at devrev.ai/blog/computer-is-here. Current public packaging uses Mini, Pro and Max, rather than the older Starter, Pro and Ultimate structure found in dated third-party material.
The current pricing page describes consumption-based credits. Mini is listed as free, while Pro and Max require contacting DevRev for pricing. The current direction emphasizes conversational access, organization-wide search, task automation, connectors, Agent Studio and optional Support, Build and Observe applications.
An older pricing PDF lists Starter and Pro licenses at $9.99 and $24.99 per user per month, but that document is dated and conflicts with current packaging. It should not be used as a current quote: archived pricing PDF.
Where DevRev may fit
Potentially strong fit
- Product-led SaaS companies where support issues regularly require product or engineering involvement.
- Organizations seeking one semantic layer across customer, product and operational information.
- Teams willing to redesign workflows rather than simply add a chatbot.
- Businesses that can run disciplined pilots and govern agent actions.
Potentially weak fit
- Small teams wanting a straightforward helpdesk with minimal implementation.
- Enterprises requiring highly specialized ITSM, CRM or contact-center functionality.
- Organizations unwilling to change established Jira, Zendesk, Salesforce or ServiceNow processes.
- Buyers that require transparent, predictable per-seat pricing.
- Regulated teams that cannot verify data residency, retention, permissions and audit controls.
How it compares with common alternatives
| Platform | Typical strength | How the proposition differs |
|---|---|---|
| Zendesk | Customer-service ticketing, omnichannel support, knowledge and routing. | Support-centered; DevRev emphasizes a connected product–support–engineering model. |
| Intercom | Customer messaging, conversational support and engagement. | Strong customer-facing conversation focus; DevRev claims a broader internal operating graph. |
| Salesforce Service Cloud | CRM-centered service, account context and enterprise customization. | Best aligned with Salesforce-centric organizations; DevRev centers its own product and operations model. |
| Jira Service Management | Requests, incidents, on-call, workflows and the Atlassian ecosystem. | Natural fit for Jira-standardized teams; DevRev’s pitch is cross-system conversational access. |
| Glean | Enterprise search and workplace knowledge discovery. | Comparable on the search layer; DevRev claims to extend into support, incidents, product and customer operations. |
DevRev’s own comparison pages, including devrev.ai/compare and devrev.ai/vs/zendesk, are vendor-authored positioning material. Any claim about relative AI charges, included features or superiority should be checked against current plans and a written quote. Likewise, a Salesforce add-on document showing a $150-per-user-per-month Contact Center product is not a like-for-like DevRev comparison because edition, region, contract and add-ons vary: Salesforce add-on pricing.

- Start with DevRev’s free Mini plan or request a Pro or Max consultation.
- Connect a limited set of real systems, such as Jira, Slack, Zendesk or Salesforce.
- Test cross-system support search, incident triage and customer-health investigation.
- Score answer accuracy, source traceability, permission behavior, false escalations, time saved and credit consumption.
- Compare the results with the existing Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce or Jira Service Management process.
- Request a written quote covering credits, connectors, applications, support, retention, security controls and overage treatment.
The most important test is whether Computer—or the AgentOS concepts it evolved from—can safely connect the records your teams actually use. Ask for evidence, inspect the source links, test stale and contradictory data, and require approval for consequential actions. A conversational interface can reduce friction, but it does not remove the need for data governance, workflow design, monitoring and human escalation.
