The reported surge was tied to a fan-engagement campaign for the Telugu film They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan. That is a notable acquisition result, but it is not evidence that one million people became active, paying or returning users.
What the one-million figure actually measures
The strongest supported description is one million registered users from more than 60 countries in about 42 hours. The figure is attributed to company and press-release coverage, including VentureBeat contributor content and a The Wire press-release feed.
“Registered users” is not interchangeable with active users, verified accounts, app downloads or paying customers. A separate Times of India report cites 1.9 million unique visitors, but that is a different, single-source measure and should not be added to the registration total.
The reports do not establish retention, repeat sessions, revenue, fraud controls or the percentage of registrants who joined only to access a campaign reward.

What Oncemore.io is
Oncemore.io, also styled OnceMore.io in some coverage, is described as an AI-powered interactive entertainment and fan-engagement platform. Its intended applications span film, music, sports and other entertainment communities. The pitch is to turn a passive audience into participants through personalized digital interactions and generated experiences.
Company descriptions referenced by Voice&Data mention an orchestration layer for dialogue, simulated worlds and visual generation. That is a reported product roadmap, not independently audited technical documentation. Oncemore should therefore not be characterized as a general-purpose chatbot, streaming service or established social network on the evidence available.
How the They Call Him OG launch created the surge
The launch was also a film-marketing activation, not simply a conventional software release. Coverage describes a collaboration around They Call Him OG, a major Telugu film featuring Pawan Kalyan.

The reported participation loop
- Movie-themed games gave fans an immediate reason to visit.
- Exclusive digital material made registration useful rather than optional in practice.
- Personalized fan cards included a user’s name and participation number.
- Fans could share cards, memes and other artifacts on social platforms.
- A collective-content-unlock mechanic promised additional material as participation grew.
Those features connect a recognizable entertainment property to a low-friction signup funnel. A fan receives something personalized, sees a public participation count and has a reason to invite others so the group can unlock more content. The mechanics are consistent with rapid campaign acquisition; they do not, by themselves, demonstrate long-term product-market fit.
Why the distribution advantage matters
Oncemore entered the market with access to an existing, emotionally invested audience and a prominent star. The film partnership supplied reach that an unknown consumer app would normally have to buy or build over time. Personalization and social sharing then gave that audience reasons to distribute the campaign themselves.
It is more accurate to call this a fan-marketing funnel than to describe the result as purely organic software virality. The available reports do not quantify paid promotion, referrals, duplicate accounts or the share of users who returned after claiming campaign content.

Reports use several different comparisons. The numbers below should not be read as a definitive all-platform leaderboard because launch dates, geography and the meaning of “user” vary.

The defensible formulation is that Oncemore was reported as one of the fastest independent platforms to reach one million registrations. “Independent” and “platform” narrow the comparison set, and the result depends on whether a source counts registrations, active accounts or another measure.

What is reported about the company
Founder
Coverage identifies Akash Mamidi as founder and describes him as a Stanford computer-science alumnus with an AI concentration. That biography appears in company or press-release-derived coverage, including VentureBeat’s contributor item, rather than in an independently reported profile.

Funding
Reports say Oncemore received pre-seed backing before launch from Unshackled Ventures, Cherubic Ventures, TA Ventures, Sketchnote Venture Partners and angel investors. The amount has not been established in the available reporting. A CB Insights listing provides secondary corroboration for an October 8, 2025 pre-seed entry and named co-investors, but the underlying transaction documents are not shown.
Additional partnerships
Coverage also says the company secured another partnership involving a major Indian film expected in early 2026. The partner is not named in the published material, so the deal should be treated as reported but undisclosed.

Important unanswered questions
- How many registrants returned after the film activation ended?

- Were registrations verified, and how were duplicate or automated accounts removed?
- Do studios, artists or sports organizations pay for campaigns?
- What are the platform’s privacy, age, moderation, data-retention and rights-clearance policies?
- Can the infrastructure reliably handle large registrations, media generation and sharing events?
The reports do not establish whether Oncemore is free to users, subscription-based, funded by sponsorships, paid for by studios, or built around another model. Inferring revenue from the launch would go beyond the evidence.

Why entertainment companies may care
If the approach works beyond one film, it offers studios a way to make promotion participatory: fans can play, receive individualized assets and help unlock material instead of merely watching a trailer. AI generation could also make localized or personalized experiences faster to produce, although the cost, quality, rights and moderation requirements remain unknown.
For entertainment executives, the useful test is not the headline registration count. It is whether the same audience returns for another property, whether campaigns convert into measurable ticketing or viewing outcomes, and whether the platform can meet brand-safety and privacy requirements at scale.
What Oncemore must prove next
- Retention: publish cohort or recurring-use data after the launch campaign.
- Multi-property demand: show repeat usage across named films, music, sports or other rights holders.
- Commercial validation: disclose paying customers, contracted campaigns or another verifiable revenue path.
- Operational reliability: demonstrate stable account creation, generation, moderation and support under load.
- Trust and governance: make privacy, terms, age rules, content controls and rights policies easy to inspect.
Until those details are available, the 42-hour result is best understood as a powerful launch and distribution case study—not a completed proof of durable consumer traction.
