AppleCare One is real and available to U.S. customers. Apple announced the multi-device subscription on July 23, 2025, and opened enrollment on July 24, 2025. It costs $19.99 per month for up to three eligible Apple devices, plus $5.99 per month for each additional device. The plan combines AppleCare+ benefits, but repairs and replacements still have service fees and deductibles.
What AppleCare One is
AppleCare One is a single Apple protection subscription for multiple products tied to your Apple Account. It is not a hardware product or a coupon for separate AppleCare+ plans. The main convenience is one recurring bill and one place to manage coverage for an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, headphones and other eligible Apple products.
Apple says covered products can be moved in and out of the plan. If you trade a covered product directly to Apple, Apple says that device is automatically removed and replaced by the new device in the plan, provided the replacement is eligible and associated with your Apple Account. That automatic treatment should not be assumed for a private sale, carrier trade-in or third-party transaction.
The service is currently documented for the United States. Apple maintains country- and state-specific terms, so availability, legal treatment and benefits can differ elsewhere.

Price and device limits
| Coverage | Monthly price |
|---|---|
| Up to three eligible devices | $19.99 |
| Each device beyond the first three | $5.99 |
The base charge equals $239.88 per year before tax. For example, four devices cost $25.98 per month, while six cost $37.96 per month. The subscription premium does not include incident fees, deductibles or taxes.
Apple says a customer covering an iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch could save up to $11 per month compared with separate AppleCare+ plans. That is Apple’s example, not a guaranteed saving: the result depends on the exact products, coverage tiers, current prices and regional terms.
What the subscription covers
- Accidental-damage service, with unlimited repairs subject to applicable service fees and plan terms.
- Apple-certified repairs and service.
- Battery coverage under the applicable AppleCare terms.
- Priority technical support from Apple experts.
- Theft-and-loss protection for eligible iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch products.
“Unlimited repairs” does not mean unlimited free repairs. Each covered incident can carry a service fee, and theft or loss has a separate replacement deductible.

How theft-and-loss protection works
Apple’s current legal summary says AppleCare One includes up to three theft-or-loss incidents every 12 months for eligible Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad products. This is not a promise of three replacements for every device. The applicable contract determines how incidents are counted, which products qualify and what documentation is required.

A deductible applies to each theft or loss replacement. Claim conditions can include keeping Find My enabled and completing Apple’s claim process. Eligibility and limits also vary by region and, in the United States, by applicable state terms. Read Apple’s current AppleCare legal summary and the terms attached to your purchase.
Which devices qualify
Apple’s launch announcement identifies iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, headphones and other eligible Apple products. The exact list depends on the product, purchase date and region; not every Apple-branded accessory automatically qualifies.
Age and condition rules
- Most eligible products already owned by the customer can be up to four years old.
- Headphones have a separate one-year age limit.
- The product must be in good condition and associated with the customer’s Apple Account.
- Apple may require a diagnostic check using an iPhone or iPad or an inspection at an Apple Store.
The four-year rule is therefore an eligibility window, not automatic acceptance. A damaged product can be rejected even if it is within the age limit.

Can you add or change devices?
Yes. Apple says customers can move products in and out of AppleCare One at any time, subject to eligibility. A newly added device must still meet Apple’s condition, age and account requirements. Removing a product does not turn a previous claim into a clean record or eliminate fees already owed.
AppleCare One versus separate AppleCare+
| Question | AppleCare One | Separate AppleCare+ |
|---|---|---|
| Billing | One monthly subscription | A separate plan for each product |
| Devices | Up to three included; $5.99 for each additional device | Each device priced under its own current plan |
| Management | Devices can be moved in and out of one account-level plan | Plans managed individually |
| Theft and loss | Eligible iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, subject to terms and deductibles | Depends on the product and whether the Theft and Loss tier was purchased |
| Best comparison | Three or more eligible products | One device or selective coverage |
Use this formula for the bundle: monthly AppleCare One cost = $19.99 + ($5.99 × devices beyond three). Then compare it with current AppleCare+ prices for the exact models and tiers. Do not use old launch-era prices; Apple separates terms by purchase date, including plans purchased on or after March 4, 2026. The current terms hub is at AppleCare One terms.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When AppleCare One is likely to be worthwhile
Good fit
- You own three or more eligible Apple devices.
- At least one device would be expensive to repair or replace.
- You want theft-and-loss protection for an eligible iPad or Apple Watch as well as an iPhone.
- Your products are in one Apple Account and you value centralized billing.
- You upgrade through Apple often and want coverage to follow the device change.
Reasons to choose separate plans or no plan
- You own only one device or two inexpensive devices whose individual plans total less than $19.99.
- You want protection only for one high-risk product.
- You do not want a continuing monthly subscription.
- Your products are tied to different Apple Accounts or are not eligible.
- You have substantial emergency savings and accept the risk of paying for repairs yourself.
The central trade-off is convenience versus the minimum spend. AppleCare One can simplify administration and may lower the combined premium for a three-device household, but it is not automatically the cheapest choice.

How to enroll
Apple announced enrollment through an eligible iPhone, iPad or Mac, or at an Apple Store. Interface labels vary by operating-system version, so use Apple’s current coverage-management flow rather than relying on an old menu path.
- Open Apple’s AppleCare or coverage-management option on an eligible device.
- Review the products Apple identifies as eligible.
- Select AppleCare One if it is offered.
- Check the monthly charge, included devices, extra-device charges and applicable terms.
- Complete any required diagnostic or in-store inspection for an older product.
- Confirm the final list of covered devices after enrollment.
If Apple does not offer the plan for a product, do not assume that paying the subscription will override the eligibility decision.
Quick Recap
Important qualifications before buying
- AppleCare One is not a guarantee of free repairs; service fees and deductibles apply.
- The $19.99 price covers up to three devices, not unlimited devices.
- Age limits do not replace the good-condition and diagnostic requirements.
- “Up to three” theft-or-loss incidents every 12 months is a plan-level legal description, not necessarily three incidents for each covered device.
- Terms and insurance-related treatment can vary by state and country. Read the applicable AppleCare One contract.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
