PLATMA: What Its AI Business Automation Platform Does—and What “Software in Minutes” Really Means

PLATMA markets visual app building and workflow automation, but its “software in minutes” figures are company claims, AI Builder availability is unclear, and its current banking platform appears to target a different market.

PLATMA was presented in a 2024 interview as a visual platform for building business apps and automating workflows, with an AI Builder intended to turn natural-language requests into software. The strongest speed and savings figures in that interview are company-reported examples, not independently verified results. Public product pages now also describe a banking-focused platform under a different domain, so buyers should confirm which product they are evaluating.

What is PLATMA?

PLATMA’s general-purpose platform is marketed as an extreme no-code or low-code environment that brings application interfaces, workflow automation, and data tools together. The intended users include startups, small and midsize businesses, business operators, and development teams that need tailored software but may not want to build every component from scratch.

In an October 17, 2024, TechBullion interview, CEO Maksym Prokhorov described the goal as helping businesses create applications and automate back-office processes without requiring traditional programming for every task. “No-code” describes the visual approach; it does not mean a business can skip data design, permissions, testing, integration work, or operational decisions.

Who is Maksym Prokhorov?

The interview presents Prokhorov as a former retail professional who moved into engineering after a contractor failed to deliver a CRM system he needed. PLATMA’s current pages identify him as co-founder and CEO, using both “Maksym” and “Maxym.” The company biography also says he built businesses generating $2–5 million in monthly revenue and managed teams of up to 170 people; those are first-party biographical claims, not independently established figures.

How the platform is supposed to work

PLATMA’s public materials describe a visual development workflow combining a drag-and-drop interface builder, a workflow builder, a database, templates, and publishing tools. Its manual covers app creation, database setup and modification, requests, data flows, and workflow automation.

  1. Describe the process or app. Define the problem to solve—for example, collecting customer responses and sending a follow-up email.
  2. Build the interface. Use the UI Builder’s pages and components to create screens and forms.
  3. Set up the data. Define tables, fields, and data connections in the built-in database, which PLATMA describes as PostgreSQL-based.
  4. Connect the workflow. Use visual nodes to specify what happens when data is submitted, updated, or received from another source. The Workflow Builder page claims a library of more than 4,600 nodes; that count is vendor-reported.
  5. Test and publish. Refine the app, check user access and behavior, and publish when it is ready. Plan-dependent materials mention collaboration, permissions, version control, and import/export features.

For its survey-and-email example, PLATMA describes using a natural-language request to create an automation. In the 2024 interview, Prokhorov named Wix, Shopify, Facebook, and Instagram as possible integration examples. That interview-era list should not be treated as a current, complete catalog; confirm that the exact connector and actions your process needs are available.

What the “software in minutes” claim can—and cannot—show

A basic form, dashboard, CRUD-style internal app, or short automation may be quick to prototype in a visual tool. A working prototype is not the same as production-ready software: a real deployment may also require authentication, careful permissions, validation, exception handling, backups, monitoring, security review, load testing, and acceptance by the people who will use it.

The interview cites a customer, climate-tech startup ESP, that allegedly built an MVP in seven hours after receiving a $17,000 development quote, at a stated cost of $12.99. It also reports savings above 90% and development up to ten times faster. These are interviewee or company claims; the account does not establish the project’s scope, whether developers helped, what the $12.99 covered, or the continuing costs of hosting, support, maintenance, and testing. The interview’s $12.99 example also should not be assumed to represent total project cost or to be the same charge as a plan displayed on PLATMA’s pricing page.

PLATMA’s own materials also claim that automation can eliminate up to 80% of routine work and that conventional digitalization may cost around $10,000. Those are marketing figures, not independently validated benchmarks. The practical case is strongest for simple, clearly bounded workflows; complex, regulated, high-traffic, or deeply integrated systems deserve a more demanding technical and commercial assessment.

What is the AI Builder, and is it available?

In the interview, Prokhorov described an AI Builder that would translate natural-language requests into working software, calling the idea “Midjourney for code.” PLATMA’s platform page likewise describes generating a draft app from a written request and then fine-tuning it. But the official tariffs page labels the AI Builder “coming soon.” Public materials therefore do not establish that natural-language app generation is generally available now. Ask for a live demonstration and written confirmation of availability before basing a purchase on it.

Even when an AI-generated draft is available, a person still needs to verify that the business rules, validation, permissions, data handling, and integrations are correct. Generated logic can be incomplete or fragile, and the materials reviewed do not clearly establish ownership or portability terms for generated code.

Pricing and plan details shown on PLATMA’s page

The indexed official pricing page displayed a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, an Individual plan shown at $12.99 per month alongside a crossed-out $9.90 figure, and custom Enterprise pricing through sales. It also indicated monthly and annual billing options and a stated 23% annual-billing difference. The page was checked on August 18, 2026, but its indexed content may not reflect live checkout prices or later changes; verify the current terms directly.

The page lists plan limits for customers, developers, apps in progress, apps to release, and private or public apps. It also shows differences in collaboration, editors, invitations, permissions, version control, import/export, multiple apps, and database access. Check the live plan details against the way your team will build, share, and operate apps rather than comparing only the headline price.

Why PLATMA’s current product identity needs clarification

The general-purpose SMB story is not the only current public positioning. The separate platma.co site markets PLATMA as an on-premise AI and middleware platform for banks, placing it between core banking systems and surrounding channels, integrations, processes, and AI agents. It describes a universal data bus, a Bank 6.0 product line, and more than 28 specialized AI agents. The site also claims a live pilot can be deployed in 90 days and that its approach costs four times less than custom development. These are vendor claims for the banking-oriented product, not independently verified results.

The two sites use overlapping branding and executive identification but address substantially different buyers and architectures. The public information does not establish whether platma.com’s business app builder and platma.co’s banking platform are the same offering, related product lines, or successive stages of the company’s direction. Nor does it establish that the banking site’s on-premise and data-sovereignty claims apply to the general-purpose service. SMB buyers should confirm that the app-building product remains available and supported; financial institutions should assess the banking product on its own architecture, security, and deployment terms.

Who might consider PLATMA—and who should pause?

Potential fit

  • An SMB that needs a tailored internal form, dashboard, approval flow, or data-entry app.
  • A startup testing a workflow or concept before committing to bespoke development.
  • A team that wants to combine interface, data, and process tooling in one visual environment.
  • A bank or fintech evaluating the separately marketed on-premise banking platform, subject to enterprise due diligence.

Reasons to be cautious

  • You need documented compliance, security certifications, service levels, or support commitments that you have not yet received.
  • Your business depends on guaranteed code, workflow, or database portability and migration terms are unclear.
  • You need a generally available AI app generator today; the public pricing page still says “coming soon.”
  • Your workflow is already handled adequately by connecting existing SaaS tools with a focused automation product.

Alternatives by job to be done

Product Best fit How it differs from PLATMA’s positioning
Bubble Visual web applications and startup prototypes More directly centered on building web apps than on an all-in-one business-automation pitch.
Retool Internal tools connected to databases and APIs A stronger fit for developer-assisted teams working over existing business data.
Microsoft Power Apps Organizations invested in Microsoft 365, Dataverse, Azure, and Power Platform Offers a broad Microsoft enterprise ecosystem; licensing and administration may be more involved.
Zapier Connecting SaaS applications and automating routine tasks Useful for cross-app automation, but not a direct substitute for a full custom app builder.
n8n Technical teams seeking flexible workflow automation More technical and self-hosting-oriented, with greater operational ownership.
SAP Build Apps Enterprise app development in SAP environments Better aligned with SAP integration and enterprise governance than a lightweight SMB prototype.

These are use-case distinctions, not a universal ranking. Current alternative pricing is not stated here; compare each vendor’s live plans and contract terms for your region and deployment needs.

Questions to ask before adopting PLATMA

  • Can you build and publish a representative app during a trial, without vendor assistance?
  • Which specific integrations, API operations, authentication methods, and workflow actions are included in the plan?
  • Where is data hosted, what controls govern access, and are audit logs, encryption, backups, and recovery documented?
  • What are the limits on apps, users, developers, editors, invitations, and public/private releases?
  • What are the support response times, uptime commitments, monitoring options, and rollback process?
  • Can you export the database, app logic, workflows, and generated code in usable formats, and what would migration require?
  • For a claimed case study, can PLATMA identify the customer with permission, define the project scope, and itemize recurring and one-time costs?
  • For banking deployment, which capabilities and security guarantees apply specifically to the on-premise product rather than the SMB platform?
