FanFix’s two original operating co-founders have left, but FanFix has not announced a shutdown. Harry Gestetner said he departed Fanfix and parent company SuperOrdinary in April 2025. Simon Pompan later said he was stepping away as Fanfix CEO and SuperOrdinary chief product officer; that announcement was reported in March 2026, although the LinkedIn result does not show an exact posting date. Dylan Harari is now identified as Fanfix CEO. For creators, this is a leadership and strategy signal—not proof that accounts, subscriptions, or payouts are about to disappear.
What happened to FanFix’s founders?
The phrase “both founders left” needs a precise definition. The 2022 acquisition announcement identifies Harry Gestetner, Simon Pompan and Cameron Dallas as FanFix co-founders. The recent departures concern Gestetner and Pompan, the two founders most directly associated with operating and building the business. The available material does not establish that Dallas was part of the active operating leadership team when these departures occurred.

- June 16, 2026: FanFix announced that it had paid more than $300 million to creators and identified Harari as CEO. Company announcement.
Neither departure announcement, as available, establishes that a dispute, product failure or financial distress caused the exits. Those explanations remain speculation.
Is FanFix shutting down?
No shutdown has been announced. FanFix’s creator site remains live and continues to solicit creators and promote subscriptions, direct messages, locked content, livestreaming, one-to-one calls and screenshot blocking. That does not guarantee that every feature is available to every account, age group or country. Eligibility, rollout status and payment support can vary, so creators should confirm the terms that apply to their account.
What the leadership change means—and does not mean
Nothing changes automatically
- Existing accounts do not disappear merely because executives leave.
- Existing subscriptions do not automatically terminate.
- The departures do not themselves change the published creator-fee percentage.
- Creators do not need to migrate solely because management changed.
Areas that could change later
- Feature investment and the product roadmap.
- Creator onboarding, eligibility and acquisition strategy.
- Support staffing and escalation procedures.
- Content, moderation and enforcement standards.
- Payout operations, refunds and chargeback handling.
- How FanFix is integrated with SuperOrdinary’s broader commerce strategy.
These are monitoring categories, not confirmed policy changes. A founder departure is primarily a strategic risk signal until creators can document operational deterioration such as missed payouts, unresolved account cases or widespread billing failures.
Why creators should pay attention
FanFix sits between creators and paying fans. Leadership choices can therefore affect the practical terms of a creator’s business even when the service stays online.

- Money: Under the current creator terms, creators receive 80% of direct payments and FanFix retains 20%. Payments are generally made approximately 30 days after the end of the applicable calendar month, but the terms allow delays or holds for policy, fraud, chargeback, tax or compliance reasons. - Trust and support: A smaller or slower Creator Success operation can turn a payment verification, moderation appeal or account lock into a material income interruption.
- Rules: Changes to content restrictions, refunds, pricing controls or enforcement can alter what a creator may sell and how fans are billed.
- Roadmap: A new leadership team may prioritize commerce, efficiency, brand partnerships or different creator segments over tools a particular creator uses.
- Parent-company priorities: SuperOrdinary’s acquisition thesis connected FanFix’s creator monetization with brand and social commerce. That can bring investment, but it also means FanFix’s priorities are not controlled solely by its original operators.
FanFix’s current position
FanFix’s own site has displayed a milestone of more than $250 million paid to creators, while its June 2026 release later reported more than $300 million. The newer figure should be used for the current milestone; the older figure is a dated company milestone, not a separate audited measure.
Founder and company posts have also cited approximately five million active paying users, more than $100 million in annual revenue or ARR, and more than $10 million in EBITDA. The most important contractual issue: competing platforms
Creators should read the current terms before announcing a backup service. FanFix’s creator terms prohibit creators participating in specified revenue programs from promoting “Competitive Platforms,” expressly naming Patreon, Passes, OnlyFans and other membership or on-demand payment services.

That restriction can affect links in profiles, direct messages, posts and migration announcements. Do not assume that “diversifying” permits a creator to post a competing-platform link on FanFix. Obtain platform-policy or legal guidance before cross-promoting, and do not promise fans that FanFix will provide a complete export of their identities or contact details.
What creators should monitor over the next 90 days
Money
- Are payouts arriving on the usual schedule?
- Are verification requests, holds or delayed withdrawals becoming more frequent?
- Have fees, thresholds, eligible programs, refunds or chargebacks changed?
Product
- Do subscriptions, messaging, locked posts, livestreams and calls remain stable for your account?
- Are bugs fixed within a reasonable time?
- Are analytics and new monetization tools improving, or has development visibly stalled?
Support
- How long does Creator Success take to answer?
- Is there a usable escalation path for payment, moderation and account disputes?
- Are policy notices specific enough to act on?
Policy
- Are content rules, age requirements or eligibility standards changing?
- Are terms changing with adequate notice?
- Are fan billing, cancellations and refunds explained clearly?
Should a creator leave FanFix?
There is no evidence-based reason for every creator to leave immediately. Staying is reasonable when payouts are reliable, fans are retaining, support is responsive, the rules fit the business and a move would cause more disruption than benefit.

- Do not panic-migrate solely because the founders left.
- Record earnings, subscriber counts, prices, renewal data and important business correspondence.
- Keep lawful backups of original videos, images, captions, thumbnails and promotional assets.
- Review the current creator terms, especially payout timing, holds and the competitive-platform restriction.
- Maintain an emergency cash reserve if FanFix represents a meaningful share of household or business income.
- Build permission-based audience channels outside FanFix where the terms and privacy law allow it; do not assume fan-contact data is portable.
- Research a second monetization channel before an emergency, then test it with a limited audience.
- Confirm a new service’s payout, refund, content, tax and data-export rules from its own current documentation.
- If you migrate, explain what fans will receive and avoid promising identical benefits or uninterrupted access.
- Reassess after several months of observed payout reliability, support quality and product activity.
Alternatives by use case
No competitor is a universally superior replacement, and current fees and features should be checked directly before signing up.

A practical two-layer setup is to keep FanFix as an active channel while establishing an independent, consent-based audience and sales path—such as a website, permitted email list, storefront or second membership service—without violating FanFix’s terms.
Bottom line for fans and business partners
Fans do not have evidence-based grounds to cancel solely because of the leadership change, and agencies or brands should not treat the departures as proof of collapse. The sensible response is observation: verify billing and access, watch for official policy notices, and judge FanFix by payouts, support, moderation and product execution under its successor-led management.
