ChainGPT announced a grant program on March 11, 2024, with an aggregate ceiling of up to $1 million for startups combining artificial intelligence and blockchain. A single applicant could request no more than $50,000, delivered as a mix of USDT and credits for ChainGPT products—not necessarily unrestricted cash. The available announcement confirms the launch, but does not establish that the full amount was paid out or that applications remain open in 2026.

What ChainGPT announced
The company said from Dover, Delaware, that it was creating an ecosystem fund to support development at the intersection of AI and Web3. The stated maximum was up to $1 million across the program, while each startup could apply for up to $50,000.
ChainGPT described three tracks:
- Growth grants: for companies with products or traction that needed help scaling.
- Builder grants: for early-stage teams kick-starting new projects.
- Research grants: for newly launched or research-oriented initiatives.
The release did not assign separate budgets or award ranges to those categories, so there is no basis for assuming an equal split.
What a grant could include
Financial support was to combine USDT with credits for ChainGPT products. The release did not explain credit expiration, transferability, refunds, or a cash-equivalent conversion policy.
#1 Best Overall
Selected teams were also promised potential access to:
- ChainGPT APIs and software-development kits (SDKs);
- technical guidance;
- promotional support;
- partnership opportunities; and
- possible incubation and IDO-launchpad support.
API access generally suits a team integrating existing ChainGPT functions quickly; SDK access may be more useful for deeper integration. Promotion or launchpad access is not a guarantee of users, investment, exchange listing, liquidity, or revenue.
Who the scheme targeted
The strongest supported description is startups building products or conducting research that genuinely combines artificial intelligence with blockchain or Web3. The release did not publish a formal technical definition, eligible-country list, required company stage, approved business models, or supported chains. An AI company or blockchain company did not automatically qualify merely by adding the other technology as a label.
How applications were to be reviewed
ChainGPT described a four-stage process:
- Submit an online application.
- Undergo an internal review of eligibility, potential impact, and overall fit.
- Attend an interview.
- Receive a final decision.
No deadline, scoring rubric, review timetable, required-document list, milestone schedule, reporting obligation, appeal process, or clawback rule was published in the announcement. The historical application destination was ChainGPT’s grant application page; its current availability and terms are not verified.

ChainGPT identified four early projects as having been featured or awarded grants:
| Project | Description supplied in the release | What remains unknown |
|---|---|---|
| Kryptomon | A Web3 game from Pink Moon Studios. | Award amount, transfer evidence, selection rationale and measurable results. |
| GT Protocol | A conversational AI interface for DeFi, CeFi and NFT markets. | Award amount, transfer evidence, selection rationale and measurable results. |
| Cookie3 | A Web3 marketing-analytics platform. | Award amount, transfer evidence, selection rationale and measurable results. |
| AITECH | A Solidus-powered AI token and payment gateway for AI and blockchain solutions. | Award amount, transfer evidence, selection rationale and measurable results. |
Those descriptions come from ChainGPT’s release. It did not provide individual grant amounts, transaction hashes, award dates, independent recipient confirmations, or evidence that the projects achieved particular outcomes.

Why ChainGPT said the sector needed support
ChainGPT framed AI as traditionally dependent on centralized infrastructure and Web3 as focused on decentralization, open participation and blockchain-native ownership. The company argued that grants could fund research, development, education and collaboration needed to find viable AI-blockchain use cases. That is ChainGPT’s strategic rationale, not an independently established industry consensus or proof of technical success.
What the headline numbers do—and do not—mean
| Figure or term | Accurate interpretation |
|---|---|
| Up to $1 million | An announced program ceiling or funding capacity; it is not proof that $1 million was distributed. |
| Up to $50,000 per startup | The maximum an applicant could request, not a standard award or guaranteed payment. |
| USDT plus product credits | A mixed package whose value and usability depend on the credit terms and the project’s actual need for ChainGPT services. |
Practical assessment for founders
When the structure could help
- A prototype or research sprint needs a relatively small amount of supplementary capital.
- The product already requires ChainGPT’s specific AI, blockchain-analysis, NFT or Solidity capabilities.
- The team values technical introductions, ecosystem promotion or incubation alongside funding.
Where the trade-offs matter
- USDT: custody, wallet-security, tax, accounting, jurisdiction and stablecoin-issuer risks remain. It is not risk-free fiat.
- Product credits: credits cannot normally pay salaries, independent audits, legal work, outside cloud bills, hardware, data licences or user acquisition. Their expiration and conversion terms were not disclosed.
- Strategic dependence: founders should check for exclusivity, data rights, token allocations, commercial obligations, switching costs and security dependencies before accepting support. The release disclosed none of those terms.
- Scale: $50,000 can fund an early build, audit or integration, but is modest relative to production AI infrastructure and should be treated as supplementary financing rather than a full venture round.
ChainGPT’s current product context
ChainGPT’s current website lists a Web3 AI chatbot, smart-contract generator and auditor, AI trading assistant, NFT generator, AI virtual-machine infrastructure, API and SDK access, ChainGPT Pad, DegenPad and CryptoGuard. See ChainGPT’s official site for the company’s current descriptions.

The site displays credit-based usage signals, but not a complete API contract or enterprise plan. It states that one CGPT credit equals $0.01, subject to the site’s current billing rules. The general chatbot is shown with 50 free daily uses and then 0.5 credits per use; the smart-contract auditor and generator with 10 free daily uses and then 1 and 2 credits respectively; the trading assistant with 20 free daily uses and then 2 credits; and the NFT generator with 50 free images daily and then 1 credit per image. These displayed limits can change and should be confirmed before budgeting.
Developer access is presented through ChainGPT’s application portal. The NFT product is at nft.chaingpt.org, CryptoGuard at cryptoguard.ai, ChainGPT Pad at pad.chaingpt.org, and DegenPad at degenpad.com.
These tools may reduce infrastructure work for a compatible startup, but they are not substitutes for independent smart-contract audits, formal verification, security testing, regulated investment advice, self-hosted model control or bespoke data-governance arrangements.
Is the grant still available in 2026?
As of August 18, 2026, the available evidence verifies the March 2024 announcement only. It does not show that applications remain open, that the original terms are unchanged, that the full $1 million was distributed, or that a current round exists. Founders should obtain written confirmation through ChainGPT’s current official channels before relying on the opportunity, and should ask for the live deadline, eligible jurisdictions, award form, credit terms, milestones, reporting duties and any token or commercial rights.

- How many applications were received and accepted?
- What amounts did the named projects receive?
- How was the $1 million divided among growth, builder and research grants?
- Were there country, licensing or legal-entity restrictions?
- Were awards paid upfront or against milestones?
- Were equity, tokens, warrants, revenue share or exclusivity involved?
- What independent evidence confirms transfers or recipient outcomes?
The Bottom Line
ChainGPT’s March 11, 2024 announcement described a potentially useful ecosystem grant: up to $1 million overall, a $50,000 application maximum, and a mix of USDT, product credits and ecosystem support. It should be read as announced funding capacity—not independently verified $1 million financing—and its availability in 2026 is unconfirmed.
