Twitter is now X, and there is no single Anthropic feed that captures every company and Claude update. Follow @claudeai for Claude product news and check @anthropicai for corporate messaging after verifying its current profile. Use X for quick discovery, then confirm important claims in Anthropic’s Newsroom, Claude’s announcement blog, or the relevant official documentation.
Which Anthropic accounts should you follow?
Anthropic-related posts can come from the company, the Claude product account, individual employees, or partners. Those sources are not interchangeable: an employee’s reply may offer useful context without constituting a formal company announcement.
| Account or channel | Best for | How to assess it |
|---|---|---|
| @claudeai | Claude product news, features, usage ideas, and consumer-facing updates. | The profile identifies Claude as an AI assistant built by Anthropic and links to Claude.ai. Check the current profile and linked site before following; profile details can change. |
| @anthropicai | Company-level announcements and messaging. | Verify the current handle, linked domain, and profile information directly on X. Do not rely on a badge or a lookalike account alone. |
| Anthropic Newsroom | Dated company announcements, product launches, policy, partnerships, and research updates. | Use it as a first-party archive for formal company updates, while recognizing it is not a record of every social post or operational clarification. |
| Claude announcement blog | Structured product updates across Claude, Claude Code, and the Claude Platform. | Look here for fuller product context and links to relevant documentation. |
The Claude X profile showed about 1.5 million followers when crawled; follower counts change and are not proof of authenticity. The profile also described Claude as built by Anthropic. The clearest confirmation is the profile’s current identity and links, not a number or visual badge.
How to find the newest Anthropic posts on X
Follow accounts and inspect their profiles
- Open the account profile and confirm its handle, description, and linked domain.
- Select Follow. If you need alerts, enable post notifications using the controls shown on your version of X; labels and layouts may differ across web, iOS, and Android.
- Visit the account directly and check its Posts and Replies views. The algorithmic Home feed may omit posts, while replies and reposts can be mixed with original announcements.
Search by account and date
Try these searches in X:
from:claudeaifrom:anthropicaifrom:claudeai (launch OR update OR available)from:anthropicai (research OR policy OR partnership)from:claudeai since:2026-07-01 until:2026-08-17
X’s search syntax and controls can change, and search is not a complete historical record. Confirm the original post’s timestamp and open its link rather than assuming a search result or repost is the newest update.

Know what “latest” means
The latest X post, latest newsroom entry, latest model release, and latest Claude feature may be different things. A viral post can be old, detached from its original context, or more recent than the underlying announcement only because it was reposted.
How to verify an Anthropic claim
- Check the handle character by character. Impersonators may add punctuation, extra letters, or look-alike characters.
- Open the profile. An embedded screenshot does not establish who posted it.
- Inspect the destination domain. Official information should generally lead to
anthropic.com,claude.com, orplatform.claude.com, or to a clearly identified official partner or documentation site. - Find a matching first-party page. For major product or policy claims, look for the corresponding newsroom post, product announcement, documentation, support page, or policy text.
- Check dates and availability wording. “Available” could mean a preview, selected countries, paid users, API access, a particular platform, or enterprise customers only. Read the linked announcement for scope.
- Distinguish formal announcements from commentary. A reply by an employee or researcher may be informative without being a binding product commitment or company policy.
- Treat screenshots and follower counts as weak evidence. Screenshots can omit dates, replies, links, or later corrections, and popularity does not establish authenticity.
Which source should you use for each question?
| Your question | Best starting point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Did Anthropic just make an announcement? | X, followed by the linked first-party page. | X can surface a short announcement or discussion quickly; the linked page provides context and qualifications. |
| What exactly did Anthropic announce? | Anthropic Newsroom. | It organizes dated company announcements, research, policy, partnerships, and product news. |
| What changed in Claude or Claude Code? | Claude announcement blog. | It is structured around product announcements, model releases, and feature updates. |
| How do I implement an API feature? | Official Claude API documentation. | A social post may point to a capability but is not a substitute for implementation details. |
| What are current prices? | Claude pricing and the API pricing documentation. | Pricing can change; use the current official page rather than an old post or screenshot. |
| What is the policy, privacy, or account rule? | The relevant official policy or support page. | A short social post may not include the complete terms. |
| Is Claude experiencing an outage? | Official status or support information; use social and community reports as leads. | User reports can flag symptoms, but they do not establish whether an incident is confirmed or a lasting product change. |
For a claim that affects a purchase, integration, security decision, or compliance review, follow the source chain: linked announcement, documentation, pricing or policy page as relevant, then official support or status information. Independent reporting can add context or criticism; community discussion is best treated as user reports and leads.

Examples of recent Anthropic announcements
The Newsroom listed these entries in its available results. They illustrate why a dated first-party archive is useful; they are examples, not a claim that each remains the newest update.
- July 24, 2026: Introducing Claude Opus 5.
- July 14, 2026: Introducing Claude for Teachers.
- July 9, 2026: “Inviting hard questions about AI.”
- July 6, 2026: The making of Claude Code.
- June 30, 2026: Introducing Claude Sonnet 5 and Claude Science becoming available.
- June 23, 2026: Introducing Claude Tag.
Check the Newsroom for the original dates, scope, and full context. X may carry the short version or discussion; the Claude blog may offer product-specific follow-ups or implementation links.

What X is not enough to establish
Do not make a financial, technical, or policy decision from a social post alone when it concerns:
- API prices or subscription charges;
- model retirement dates, usage limits, or account restrictions;
- identity-verification requirements or geographic availability;
- data retention, training, safety, or other policy terms;
- enterprise contract details or security advisories; or
- whether a disruption is an outage or a permanent product change.
Model names and features can change independently, and a launch may apply only to one model, platform, customer tier, region, or preview. Check the relevant official product page, documentation, pricing, support, or status source before acting. Old announcement posts and third-party tables should not override current pricing information.

A practical way to keep up without relying on X alone
- Follow the current Claude and Anthropic profiles on X if you want fast signals, and inspect the profiles directly when something important appears.
- Open the linked first-party announcement and note its date, product, and stated availability.
- For an API or feature decision, read the relevant documentation; for cost, check the live pricing page; for an incident, consult official status or support information.
- Save or bookmark the dated first-party page for releases you need to track. Use the Newsroom and Claude announcement archive even if you do not use X.
- Use employee posts, partner commentary, and community reports as context or leads, not substitutes for formal terms.
Following Anthropic on X is useful for discovery, but it is neither necessary to read official updates nor sufficient for verifying prices, policy, availability, or service status.
