Yes—but only as a historical March 2025 launch, not a plan you should assume is still available today. Bell and Telus were reported on March 18, 2025, to have matched Rogers with $55-per-month plans offering 125GB of high-speed data usable in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Bell’s reported offer was for new activations, and current Bell listings no longer show that exact configuration.
As of the latest plan pages reviewed on August 18, 2026, Bell lists different options, while Public Mobile advertises a cheaper limited-time $45/month plan with 125GB across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Telus availability should be confirmed through its live plan selector before switching.
What Bell and Telus announced in March 2025
Contemporaneous coverage from MobileSyrup reported that Bell and Telus had launched matching plans at $55 per month for 125GB of data across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
The offer followed a similar Rogers plan and was notable because it combined a large high-speed data allowance with North American roaming at a price normally associated with Canada-only service.

Bell’s reported launch-era terms
According to the contemporaneous Bell report, Bell’s version included:
- $55 per month;
- 125GB of high-speed data;
- use in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico;
- unlimited calling and texting in all three countries;
- a reported 1080p or HD-video streaming limitation; and
- eligibility for new activations.
The new-activation restriction matters. The report did not establish that every existing Bell customer could switch to the plan, nor that it applied universally to device-financing customers, multi-line accounts, corporate plans, employee plans, student offers, Internet bundles or retention deals.

Telus’s reported launch-era terms

Customers should check the Telus live plan selector or ask a Telus sales representative. A historical article or search-result snippet is not enough to establish current availability; the original MobileSyrup page is no longer a live offer page.

What “Canada-U.S.-Mexico” usually means
A North American plan can combine several different benefits. Check each one separately before signing up:
- Domestic data: data used while you are physically in Canada.
- Roaming data: data used while connected to a U.S. or Mexican partner network.
- Calling from Canada: calls from Canada to U.S. or Mexican numbers may have different rules from roaming calls.
- Calling while abroad: calls made when you are physically in the U.S. or Mexico.
- Texting: outgoing and incoming messages while roaming may be included, but verify multimedia-message rules.
- Hotspot: tethering may have a separate allowance or restriction.
- Speed limits: the advertised high-speed allotment may be followed by throttled data.
Do not assume that the full 125GB can be consumed abroad at the same speed. Some plans use a shared North American bucket; others impose daily roaming limits. Bell’s current example illustrates the difference: its listed Canada-U.S.-Mexico option provides 5GB per day at high speed while advertising unlimited data afterward at up to 512Kbps.
Reduced-speed data may be adequate for basic messaging but impractical for video, large downloads, navigation-heavy travel or hotspot use. Coverage also depends on the carrier’s roaming partners, local network conditions and the destination.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBest Value
- STAY CONNECTED WORLDWIDE: Unlimited calling from the U.S. to 90+ international destinations including India, Mexico, Canada, China, the U.K. and more.
- RELIABLE NATIONWIDE COVERAGE: Enjoy 4GB of high-speed 5G/4G LTE data on the T-Mobile 5G Network.
- TRAVEL ACROSS NORTH AMERICA: Unlimited talk and text in Mexico and Canada plus international roaming credit.
- BRING YOUR OWN PHONE: Activate your compatible unlocked phone with the included 3-in-1 SIM card or eSIM. Keep your number or get a new one.
- NO CONTRACTS: 1-Month prepaid wireless plan with no annual contracts, no credit checks, and no hidden fees.
What does a $55 price really cost?
Before comparing a headline price, ask the carrier for the price before and after every credit. Confirm:
- whether autopay is required;
- whether a Bell Internet bundle is required;
- whether the discount expires;
- whether the price is for one line or depends on multiple lines;
- whether the plan is BYOD-only;
- whether financing a phone changes eligibility;
- whether an activation or connection fee applies;
- whether taxes and device payments are extra; and
- whether the offer is available in your province and sales channel.
Existing customers should also compare the complete bill, not just the wireless line. Leaving a carrier could remove home-Internet, multi-line or other bundled credits. A lower advertised plan price can therefore produce a higher total household bill.
How it compares with current alternatives
| Provider or offer | Price and data | North American details | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Historical Bell/Telus offer | $55/month, 125GB | Canada-U.S.-Mexico data, calling and texting as reported at launch | March 2025 offer; Bell was reported as new-activation only |
| Bell current listings | $55/month for 100GB, or $70/month for a Canada-U.S.-Mexico option | The $70 option lists 5GB/day of high-speed U.S./Mexico roaming, then up to 512Kbps | Credits and eligibility conditions may apply |
| Public Mobile | $45/month for 125GB | Canada-U.S.-Mexico coverage, 5G access, unlimited talk and text, and 1,000 international minutes as listed | Limited-time offer; compare support, hotspot terms and promotion duration |
| Freedom Mobile | Varies by current plan | Roaming and coverage depend on the selected offer | Review the fair-use policy and local coverage |
Public Mobile’s advertised $45/125GB option is cheaper than the historical Bell and Telus price, but price is not the only difference. Public Mobile may be less suitable for customers who want extensive retail-store support, traditional device financing or premium bundled services. Compare the network in the places you live and travel, support options, hotspot rules and the duration of any promotion.
Who should consider a plan like this?
The original $55/125GB structure was most compelling for someone who regularly crossed the U.S. border, spent extended time in Mexico or used more than 60–100GB per month. One North American number and bill can be more convenient than buying travel eSIMs or paying daily roaming charges.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →It is less compelling if you rarely leave Canada, use under 20–30GB monthly, need dependable high-speed hotspot service, or cannot qualify for the promotional activation terms. A large allowance also provides little value if your usage is modest and a cheaper Canada-only plan meets your needs.
Quick Recap
Checklist before switching
- Ask whether the exact plan is currently available, rather than relying on a March 2025 article.
- Confirm whether you qualify as a new activation, BYOD customer, port-in or existing customer.
- Get the full monthly price before and after autopay, bundle and multi-line credits.
- Ask whether the data allowance is shared across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
- Confirm the high-speed roaming allowance and the speed after it is used.
- Check hotspot limits and video-streaming restrictions.
- Confirm calling rules from Canada to U.S. and Mexican numbers.
- Check coverage and roaming-partner limitations at your destinations.
- Calculate any device balance, activation fee, lost bundle discount or other switching cost.
- Save the plan’s service agreement and promotional terms.
