Use the official U.S. Public Cloud free-trial page or OVHcloud deals page, and monitor your resources carefully: after the credit expires or runs out, continued usage can be charged to the payment method saved to your account.

Is there an OVHcloud promo code for $200?
Not for the standard U.S. Public Cloud promotion. OVHcloud explicitly says that no code is required; the credit is applied when the account meets the offer’s conditions.

This is different from a conventional coupon entered at checkout. OVHcloud also provides a general voucher-redemption feature under Credits & Vouchers, but that function does not prove that a public $200 coupon code exists. A code shown on an unofficial coupon site may be expired, region-restricted, tied to a partner or event, limited to a particular product, or fabricated.
The no-code statement applies to the standard offer. Separate targeted, partner, or event promotions can have their own requirements and expiration dates. Do not treat a time-limited promotion such as an event-specific bare-metal offer as an evergreen coupon.
What the $200 credit covers
The benefit is an account or service credit applied against eligible Public Cloud bills. Depending on the applicable terms, examples include:
- Compute instances
- High Speed Block Storage
- Object Storage
- Managed Kubernetes
- Managed databases
- Local Zones and other eligible Public Cloud infrastructure services
It is not a universal “$200 off OVHcloud” coupon. Do not assume it applies to domain registration, standard web hosting, VPS plans, dedicated or bare-metal servers, or other non-Public-Cloud products. Beta services and other exclusions may also apply under the trial terms.

Who qualifies?
Having never purchased a domain or web-hosting plan does not necessarily qualify an account. The important conditions are generally the customer’s first Public Cloud infrastructure project, active Public Cloud status, region, qualifying payment, and offer availability.
The current U.S. terms generally require that the customer:
- Create their first Public Cloud infrastructure project.
- Not already be purchasing Public Cloud services when the credit is applied.
- Complete at least $0.99 of eligible OVHcloud U.S. Public Cloud services.
- Use eligible Public Cloud services purchased from OVHcloud U.S. datacenters.
- Meet OVHcloud’s account, payment, and other eligibility checks.
Eligibility is not guaranteed for every new OVHcloud account, and OVHcloud states that the offer is subject to availability.
How to claim the credit
- Open the official U.S. Public Cloud free-trial page or deals page.
- Create an OVHcloud account or sign in to an eligible account.
- Add a valid payment method when prompted.
- Create your first Public Cloud infrastructure project.
- Complete the required qualifying purchase of at least $0.99 of eligible U.S. Public Cloud services.
- Check the billing area and Credits & Vouchers section to confirm that the credit has appeared.
- Deploy only the resources you intend to test, then track consumption and expiration.
OVHcloud’s U.S. FAQ says the credit should be applied automatically within two business days after the criteria are met. The promotional terms also say credits may be added within 30 days of OVHcloud receiving the qualifying payment. Because those statements differ, do not treat two business days as an absolute guarantee.
How to get the additional $100
OVHcloud advertises up to $300, but the extra $100 is conditional. It is associated with purchasing your first Managed Databases service after meeting the applicable promotion requirements.

That is not an unconditional $300 signup credit. Purchase Managed Databases only if your application genuinely needs a managed database. An unnecessary database can create ongoing charges after the promotional credit expires, making the extra credit poor value.
How long does the $200 last?
For U.S. readers, the current U.S. free-trial page states that the credit is valid for 90 days from the date it is applied. That is the credit’s calendar validity period; it is not a promise that $200 will fund a particular server for 90 days.

In either case, continued eligible usage can become billable. Some global OVHcloud materials describe a one-month trial, but U.S. readers should use the current U.S. terms rather than mixing regional offers.
What might $200 cover?
OVHcloud’s deals material illustrates configurations involving compute instances, storage, Kubernetes, and managed databases. These are examples—not guaranteed free-service periods.
Actual consumption depends on instance size and count, region, operating-system or software licenses, attached volumes, snapshots, backups, database size and replication, network traffic, API usage, and resources outside the promotional configuration. Check the U.S. pricing page and calculate the likely hourly or monthly cost of every component before deploying.

What happens after the credit expires or runs out?
Unused credit is not cash. It cannot be transferred, refunded, or exchanged. When the credit is exhausted or its validity period ends, continued Public Cloud usage can be billed automatically through the default payment method.

Deleting a compute instance may not remove every separately billable component. Attached storage, snapshots, backups, public IP addresses, object-storage data, databases, and Kubernetes resources can require separate review.
Before the trial ends: cleanup checklist
- Delete unused compute instances.
- Remove unattached block-storage volumes and snapshots.
- Review and delete unnecessary backups.
- Check Object Storage buckets, retained objects, and API activity.
- Delete managed databases and Kubernetes clusters you no longer need.
- Review public IP addresses and other billable network resources.
- Check the billing dashboard and configure usage alerts where available.
- Set a personal spending limit and calendar reminder before the 90-day date.
Stopping application traffic is not the same as deleting the infrastructure that may generate charges. Confirm each service’s billing behavior before leaving it active.
If the credit does not appear
- Check Credits & Vouchers and the billing area.
- Confirm that this is the account’s first Public Cloud infrastructure project.
- Verify that the $0.99 qualifying payment completed successfully.
- Check the project’s service type and U.S. datacenter region.
- Allow for the stated processing window, noting the FAQ’s two-business-day language and the terms’ 30-day language.
- Contact OVHcloud support with the account details, project, order, payment information, and relevant dates.
A missing credit can also reflect an unavailable or changed promotion, an existing Public Cloud purchase, a failed payment or eligibility check, or regional restrictions.

The standard $200 U.S. offer does not require a code. A failed code may be expired, restricted to a region or product, limited to a partner or event, intended for existing customers, or simply an unverified coupon-site listing.

Do not repeatedly try unknown codes or create duplicate accounts to bypass first-project eligibility. That can make eligibility and billing records harder to resolve.
Which OVHcloud service is the right fit?
- Public Cloud: Best for testing infrastructure, compute, storage, Kubernetes, or managed services when you can actively monitor usage.
- VPS: Often simpler for one small website, personal server, VPN, or application. Do not assume the $200 Public Cloud credit applies.
- Managed Databases: Suitable when the workload needs managed database operations—not merely as a way to chase the additional $100.
- Dedicated servers: Better for sustained workloads requiring dedicated hardware, but generally a poor match for a short trial.
- Domains and web hosting: These are separate product categories with separate offers; the Public Cloud credit is not a blanket discount for them.
Other cloud providers may offer credits, discounts, permanent free tiers, or startup programs with different payment, expiration, regional, and billing rules. Compare the benefit type and shutdown process—not just the headline dollar amount—before choosing an alternative.
Is the offer worth using?
It is a reasonable fit for a new U.S. customer running a temporary experiment, proof of concept, educational project, or monitored Public Cloud workload. It is a poor fit if you want a universal hosting coupon, a cash-equivalent rebate, a permanently free server, or a service that does not require a payment method.
For U.S. Public Cloud testing, claim the credit through the official no-code signup, verify it in the account, price every resource, and set a deletion or spending-control plan before deploying. For a simple long-term server, evaluate a VPS on its own merits rather than forcing the Public Cloud promotion to fit.
