As of September 8, 2026, TELUS Black Friday deals are not currently live. The offers associated with this headline were launched in Canada around November 17–18, 2025. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, so readers should not treat the 2025 promotions as available today.
The headline phone offers included the iPhone 16, Google Pixel 10 and Samsung Galaxy S25 at advertised prices as low as $0 per month. However, those prices depended on eligible TELUS financing, plans and—in some cases—Bring-It-Back. A $0 monthly device payment was not necessarily the same as owning a free phone.

Were TELUS Black Friday deals actually live?
Yes—but the relevant launch was TELUS’s 2025 Black Friday campaign, not an active September 2026 sale. Coverage published on November 18, 2025 reported the initial promotions, with additional offers appearing later in November.

The launch and subsequent updates were reported across TELUS’s sales channels and promotional material, but eligibility varied. New activations, renewals, existing customers, employee or partner programs, online orders and in-store purchases could receive different terms. A historical headline should therefore not be read as a guarantee that every customer received the same price.
For current offers, check TELUS’s deals and bundles page and phone catalogue. Current catalogue listings for newer devices such as the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S26 are separate from the 2025 Black Friday promotion.

The launch coverage also identified the iPhone 16, Pixel 10 and Galaxy S25 as key offers and reported the PS5 and Galaxy Watch8 promotions. A $0 monthly device payment generally means the eligible device balance is being reduced through a promotion, trade-in credit or deferred amount under a financing arrangement. It does not mean the customer pays nothing overall.

TELUS presents Easy Payment as a 24-month, 0% APR financing option for eligible devices and plans. The wireless plan is billed separately from the device payment. Approved credit is required, taxes may be payable upfront, and leaving TELUS can make the remaining device balance due.
Before accepting a $0/month offer, ask for all of these figures:
- the device payment;
- the required monthly plan;
- upfront taxes and fees;
- the total value and duration of bill credits;
- any trade-in credit;
- the Bring-It-Back amount; and
- the balance payable if you cancel or transfer service early.
Terms and promotional prices can change or be withdrawn. TELUS’s deals page should be treated as the authority for a current offer.

Bring-It-Back
Bring-It-Back lowers the monthly payment by deferring a specified portion of the device cost. At the end of the 24-month term, you generally return the phone in the required condition or pay the deferred amount to keep it.

A returned device must meet TELUS’s condition requirements. Damage, missing components or failure to return the phone can result in the Bring-It-Back amount becoming payable. Review the Bring-It-Back terms before choosing this option.
Standard Easy Payment
Standard financing spreads the device balance over the term without a return obligation. The monthly payment may be higher than the promotional “as low as” price, but the phone is yours once the financed balance is paid.
For either option, cancelling, terminating or transferring the TELUS account before the term ends may make the outstanding Easy Payment balance payable immediately. The TELUS device and financing disclosures explain these mechanics.

- Return scenario: include the device payments and required plan for 24 months, then return an eligible Bring-It-Back phone.
- Keep scenario: add the Bring-It-Back payoff to the 24-month total.
For example, a $0/month device price can still require a costly premium plan. It can also become expensive if you want to keep the phone, leave TELUS early or discover that your trade-in is worth less than the advertised maximum.
Which historical offer suited which buyer?
- iPhone buyer: The iPhone 16 was the relevant lower-cost Apple option in the 2025 campaign, provided the required plan and financing terms fit your budget.
- Lowest monthly payment: Pixel 10, iPhone 16 or Galaxy S25 could look attractive at the promotional price, but the cheapest monthly figure is not necessarily the lowest two-year cost.
- Pixel buyer: Pixel 10—and, in later November coverage, Pixel 10 Pro—was promoted at prices as low as $0/month under qualifying conditions. Confirm whether Bring-It-Back is required.
- Samsung buyer: Galaxy S25 financing was the main Samsung phone promotion. The reported Galaxy Watch8 bundle was relevant only to eligible in-store purchases and available inventory.
- Switcher: Compare the phone promotion with TELUS’s switcher offers and the full price of the required plan.
- Existing TELUS customer: Check renewal eligibility rather than assuming a new-customer offer applies.
- Family customer: TELUS advertises Family Discount savings of up to $15 per month for each added family member, subject to its terms. Include the family plan’s actual cost when comparing devices.
- Buyer who wants long-term ownership: Standard financing, buying unlocked or using a lower-cost BYOD plan may be better than Bring-It-Back.
Trade-ins, storage and free gifts
“Save up to” trade-in amounts are maximums, not guaranteed credits. TELUS assesses value based on the model, storage, condition and other requirements. Get a device-specific estimate through the TELUS trade-in page.
Storage also matters. A promotional price for a 128GB phone should not be used to describe a 256GB or 512GB model. Confirm the exact model and capacity on the order summary.
The reported PS5 promotion was connected to qualifying TELUS internet purchases, not every phone order. Likewise, the Galaxy Watch8 promotion was reported as an in-store offer tied to eligible Samsung purchases. Check stock, channel restrictions, activation requirements and deadlines before assigning either gift its full retail value.

A separate late-November 2025 “Buy One, Gift One” initiative supported Canadian youth transitioning out of government care. It was a social-impact promotion, not a general second-phone discount; see the reported promotion details.
Checkout checklist
- Confirm the exact phone model and storage.
- Check whether the offer is for a new activation, renewal, switcher or another customer category.
- Ask for the complete monthly bill, including the plan and device.
- Record the Bring-It-Back amount and the cost to keep the phone.
- Confirm how trade-in value is calculated and what happens if the assessment is lower.
- Check whether the offer is online, by phone or in-store only.
- Verify the promotion’s expiry date and stock conditions.
- Save the order confirmation and promotional terms.
Other options to compare
Readers who do not want a 24-month carrier commitment should compare an unlocked phone from Apple Canada, the Google Store or Samsung Canada with a BYOD plan. Carrier alternatives include Rogers, Bell, Freedom Mobile and Public Mobile. Do not assume a competitor is cheaper without comparing current, date-stamped plan and device prices.
The Bottom Line
The 2025 TELUS Black Friday campaign did feature major iPhone, Pixel and Galaxy promotions, including reported $0/month device offers. But those were conditional and date-limited. For any future TELUS Black Friday deal, judge the offer by the 24-month bill, plan requirement, trade-in credit, Bring-It-Back payoff and early-cancellation balance—not by the advertised device payment alone.
