Indian stocks in focus on 15 October 2026 span a proposed Jio Platforms IPO, the reported sale of a controlling IDBI Bank stake, a USFDA inspection outcome at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, fresh infrastructure orders and second-quarter earnings. The developments are company-specific catalysts rather than a single market-wide theme, so investors should separate announced terms from completed transactions, and revenue growth from underlying profitability.
Why these stocks are moving onto the watchlist
Angel One’s 15 October market note said Indian equities were likely to track company developments, quarterly results, new project contracts and major corporate transactions during the session. The names below fit those categories, but their risk profiles differ: an IPO and a stake sale still require execution, a regulatory observation can lead to follow-up actions, project awards depend on delivery, and earnings need to be judged for quality as well as growth.

Reliance Industries: Jio Platforms IPO terms to monitor
Reliance Industries is in focus after reports that Jio Platforms plans a ₹30,187.6 crore IPO scheduled for 21–23 October 2026. The reported price band is ₹1,065–₹1,119 a share, with an anchor-investor book planned for 19 October and a fresh issue of 27 crore shares.
The reported structure also provides reservations of up to ₹500 crore for employees and ₹2,500 crore for eligible Reliance shareholders. These are reported offer terms, not a completed issue. Investors should verify the final prospectus and any revised timetable before relying on the band, issue size or reservation limits; IPO pricing, allocations and dates can change before launch.

IDBI Bank: strategic sale advances
IDBI Bank is in focus after Fairfax Financial Holdings-backed Canada Inc was approved as the strategic buyer, according to reports. The government and Life Insurance Corporation of India are reported to be divesting a combined 60.72% stake for ₹52,878 crore at ₹81 per share.
The reported split is 30.48% for the government and 30.24% for LIC. Approval of the buyer is a significant transaction milestone, but completion still depends on the remaining closing steps and transfer of the shares. The announced price and stake percentages therefore describe the proposed transaction rather than cash already received by the sellers.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: three USFDA observations at FTO-9
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories said the US Food and Drug Administration completed a pre-approval inspection at its FTO-9 facility in Visakhapatnam on 8 and 9 October 2026. The agency issued a Form 483 containing three observations.
A Form 483 records observations made by inspectors; it is not, by itself, a final compliance determination. The market’s next focus is the company’s written response and any subsequent regulatory communication. Until those steps are known, the inspection result should be treated as an unresolved regulatory event rather than a final outcome for the facility.

New project awards
Enviro Infra Engineers: Ajani wind project LoI
Suyog Urja, a subsidiary of Enviro Infra Engineers, received a ₹228 crore letter of intent for turnkey engineering, procurement and construction work on the 100 MW Ajani Wind Power Project in Latur. An LoI signals the award of the work, while revenue recognition and cash generation will depend on contract finalisation, mobilisation and execution.
Om Power Transmission: underground cabling contract
Om Power Transmission received a ₹101.56 crore turnkey contract from Uttar Gujarat Vij Company for underground electrical cabling and related work in Ambaji. The order adds to the company’s reported project pipeline, but delivery schedules, costs and collection terms will determine its eventual financial contribution.

Quarterly results to parse
The reported results show strong headline growth, but the useful comparison is different for an insurer, a lender and a consumer-goods company.

|---|---|---|---|
| ICICI Lombard | Profit ₹946.4 crore; net premium earned ₹6,651.87 crore; total income ₹7,843.7 crore; interim dividend ₹7 | Profit up 15.47% year over year; net premium earned up 17.7%; total income up 19.2% | Underwriting loss widened to ₹318.38 crore from ₹178.36 crore |
| HDB Financial Services | Profit ₹780.2 crore; net interest income ₹2,533.7 crore | Profit up 34.2%; net interest income up 15.6% | Future updates should show whether earnings growth remains supported by core interest income |
| Bajaj Consumer Care | Profit ₹70.2 crore; revenue ₹332.8 crore | Profit up 65.9%; revenue up 25.5% | Subsequent quarters will indicate how durable the reported margin and demand improvement is |
ICICI Lombard
ICICI Lombard’s result combines double-digit premium and income growth with a wider underwriting loss. That makes the ₹7 interim dividend and higher profit relevant, but investors also need to track whether insurance operations improve rather than relying only on investment income or other contributors.

HDB Financial Services
HDB Financial reported profit of ₹780.2 crore and net interest income of ₹2,533.7 crore. The difference between profit growth and net-interest-income growth means credit costs, funding expenses and other income will matter when assessing the sustainability of the quarter.
Bajaj Consumer Care
Bajaj Consumer Care reported ₹70.2 crore of profit on ₹332.8 crore of revenue. Profit grew faster than revenue in the reported quarter; later results will show whether that reflects a lasting operating improvement or a period-specific benefit.

What investors should verify before trading
- Read the final Jio Platforms offer documents rather than relying on preliminary IPO terms.
- Distinguish IDBI Bank buyer approval from legal completion of the stake transfer.
- Wait for Dr Reddy’s response and later regulatory updates before treating the Form 483 as resolved.
- For both project awards, check execution milestones, order-book disclosures and cash-flow conversion.
- For the three Q2 reporters, compare headline growth with underwriting performance, funding and credit costs, margins and repeatability.
