Redmi launched the themed phone in China on April 24, 2025, at 2,799 yuan for a 16GB/512GB model. The $599 figure came from overseas reseller listings, some of which later showed sale prices around $469 to $499. There is no confirmed official U.S. launch or U.S. warranty in the available evidence.
What the $599 price really means
The phone was reported as being “on pre-sale” in April 2025, not as part of a new 2026 launch. Current reseller pages have shown the device as in stock or discounted rather than documenting a new pre-order campaign.

The standard Redmi Turbo 4 Pro launched in China from 1,999 yuan, while the Harry Potter model launched at 2,799 yuan. The special edition appears to use the same basic hardware platform, including the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, rather than offering a faster processor or a fundamentally different camera system.

The extra money primarily buys the themed design, packaging, software customization and the higher 16GB/512GB configuration. That may make sense for a collector, but it does not represent a matching increase in performance.

Import checklist
- Confirm that the listing is the genuine Harry Potter Edition, not a standard Turbo 4 Pro with a separate case.
- Verify the 16GB/512GB configuration and whether the full themed bundle is included.
- Check the exact LTE and 5G bands against your carrier.
- Ask whether the phone has official or modified firmware and whether OTA updates work.
- Confirm Google Play, Google Mobile Services, VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling status.
- Read the warranty, return period and return-shipping terms.
- Calculate taxes, customs, delivery insurance and payment fees.
- Use a payment method with purchase protection where possible.
Is it worth $599?
For a Harry Potter collector who specifically wants the licensed design, special packaging and 16GB/512GB configuration, an import price near $469 to $599 may be reasonable. The value is primarily collectible and aesthetic.
For a daily-driver buyer in the United States, the calculation is weaker. A locally sold phone at a similar price may provide better warranty coverage, carrier compatibility, repair access and predictable software support. Camera-focused shoppers should also remember that this is a performance-oriented phone with a relatively ordinary 50MP-plus-ultrawide camera setup.
The standard Redmi Turbo 4 Pro product page is useful for understanding the underlying platform, but an official global or U.S. distribution channel for this Harry Potter configuration has not been established in the available evidence.
Bottom line
The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro Harry Potter Edition is genuine and was officially launched in China in April 2025. But $599 is an import-reseller reference price, not an official U.S. price, and “now on pre-sale” is outdated without proof of a current pre-order campaign. Buy it only if the Harry Potter design is worth the import, carrier, warranty and resale risks—and verify the exact SKU before checkout.
