Gizmochina reported on April 12, 2023 that Giztop had reduced the base Realme GT Neo 5 (150W) to $439, described as up to $70 off. As of August 18, 2026, Giztop’s main 150W listing and its purple 12GB/256GB listing were marked out of stock.
That means the displayed price should not be treated as a buyable bargain. Anyone considering an import should also calculate shipping, taxes, customs charges, payment fees, warranty costs, and carrier compatibility before comparing the phone with newer alternatives.

What the original Giztop promotion offered
The deal article was published on April 12, 2023. It said Giztop was offering the base configuration of the Realme GT Neo 5 with 150W charging for $439, described as up to $70 off. The listed colors were Purple, White, and Black.
The discount applied to the base variant, not necessarily to every RAM and storage configuration. A higher-specification model should not be assumed to qualify for the same price. The original coverage is available at Gizmochina.

Is the Realme GT Neo 5 150W deal still available?
No live $439 offer was confirmed. Giztop’s main Realme GT Neo 5 150W listing was marked out of stock when checked on August 18, 2026. The purple 12GB/256GB page displayed $299 against a $529 reference price, but that listing was also marked out of stock.
A product page can retain a price after inventory has disappeared. A search result, cached page, or reference price is not proof that a phone can be ordered, shipped, or checked out at that amount. Treat this promotion as expired unless Giztop shows a selectable in-stock variant and confirms the final price at checkout.

“150W” describes the phone’s maximum wired charging capability; it does not refer to the battery’s capacity. Giztop and the associated product information claim a full charge in approximately 10 minutes.

That figure is a seller or manufacturer claim, not an independent test result. Actual charging time can vary with the included adapter and cable, battery temperature, charge level, software safeguards, and other conditions. Confirm that the package includes a suitable 150W charger before treating the feature as useful value.
Why the phone was attractive
- Very fast charging: The headline feature can reduce the need to keep the phone plugged in for long periods.
- Strong older flagship performance: The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 remains capable of demanding apps and games, although it is an older platform by 2026 standards.
- Smooth display: The 1.5K panel and 144Hz refresh rate suit gaming and scrolling.
- Large battery: The 5,000mAh cell is larger than the 4,600mAh battery listed for the related 240W model.
- Useful primary camera hardware: The 50MP Sony IMX890 camera includes optical image stabilization.
- Gaming features: Giztop and the deal coverage list GT Mode 3.0 and enhanced cooling features.
Import-phone risks buyers should price in
Chinese edition and seller-installed software
Giztop describes the phone as a Chinese edition flashed with global software before shipping. It says Google Mobile Services, Google Play, multiple languages, and OTA updates are supported. Those are seller claims and do not establish that the device is an officially certified global model.
Before buying, ask what software is installed and whether the phone’s bootloader or system partition has been modified. Seller-installed software can affect banking apps, digital-rights management, Android Auto, notifications, future updates, and warranty support. Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 is also an old software generation in 2026, with uncertain long-term update coverage for an imported device.
U.S. carrier compatibility is not guaranteed
Giztop lists 5G bands including n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n41, n77, and n78, along with LTE bands including B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B18, B19, B26, B28A, B34, B38, B39, B40, and B41. The exact information varies by product page and variant.

Band matching alone does not guarantee service. VoLTE support, carrier certification, 5G aggregation, regional network policies, and the carrier’s current device requirements can all matter. U.S. buyers should compare the exact model and variant with their carrier before paying; compatibility may be weaker than in parts of Asia, Europe, or Australia.
Warranty and delivered cost
The advertised discount does not establish the final amount you would pay. Add:
- International shipping and optional shipping insurance
- Sales tax, customs duties, or import fees
- Currency-conversion and payment-processing charges
- Potential charger or plug costs
- International return shipping if the phone is defective
An import phone may also lack domestic warranty coverage or local repair support. A lower sticker price can disappear once these costs and risks are included.
How to check the deal before buying
- Confirm stock: Make sure the exact 150W variant is marked in stock and can be added to the cart.
- Confirm the configuration: Check RAM, storage, color, battery, and charging specification. Do not assume “up to $70 off” applies to a higher-tier model.
- Calculate the landed price: Review shipping, tax, customs, conversion fees, and any insurance before comparing alternatives.
- Verify your carrier: Check the exact model’s bands, VoLTE, certification, and 5G requirements with your carrier.
- Read the seller’s terms: Confirm warranty duration, return address, refund conditions, and who pays international shipping.
- Check the software details: Ask whether the device has an official global ROM or software flashed by the seller, and whether OTA updates are expected to work.
- Confirm the charger: Check the plug type, included adapter, voltage compatibility, and whether the advertised charging speed requires the supplied accessories.
Should you buy it?
The phone could make sense for an experienced import buyer who values rapid charging, gaming performance, a high-refresh-rate display, and a large battery more than domestic support or guaranteed software updates. That decision only becomes relevant if a specific variant returns to stock at a competitive delivered price.

It is a poor fit if you need guaranteed U.S. carrier functionality, simple local repairs, a domestic warranty, dependable long-term Android support, or a current-generation camera system. The 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras are less compelling than the stabilized primary camera, and the handset’s Android 13 software dates it quickly.
Related alternative
Giztop’s Realme GT Neo 5 240W listing showed an in-stock signal at as low as $449 against a $599 reference price when checked for this article. It is not the same configuration: the 240W version pairs faster charging with a listed 4,600mAh battery, compared with 150W charging and a 5,000mAh battery on the model discussed here. It remains an import phone, so the same carrier, software, warranty, and landed-cost checks apply.
Do not assume that the 240W listing’s price, stock, or newsletter discount will remain unchanged. Giztop also advertises a 5% newsletter offer, but there is no basis to assume it stacks with an old promotion unless checkout explicitly confirms it.
