Which stocks did Mizuho add?
The seven reported additions span technology, health care, travel, industrial gases and real estate. Their investment cases—and the risks attached—are quite different.

Investing.com’s October 8 account is the source for the targets and theses in this table. It does not provide a consistent set of contemporaneous share prices for every stock, so the targets should not be read as directly comparable upside estimates. One reported comparison was that Brixmor’s $30 target sat 16.0% below consensus; the report also said Oracle’s $320 target was 25% above Bloomberg consensus.

What Mizuho’s reported thesis says about each stock
Oracle (ORCL): AI-cloud growth weighed against funding and margins
Mizuho analyst Siti Panigrahi’s thesis, as summarized by Investing.com, pointed to Oracle’s reported $638 billion in remaining performance obligations at fiscal fourth quarter and demand for AI cloud services. Mizuho forecast 35% annual revenue growth from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2030, reaching $226 billion in fiscal 2030; the report listed fiscal 2026 revenue at $67.4 billion. These are figures and forecasts attributed to Mizuho through the news report, not independently verified company guidance.
#1 Best Overall
The same account highlighted a substantial funding question: Oracle had announced a planned $45–50 billion capital raise combining equity and debt to support spending. Mizuho also noted that lower gross margins in AI cloud could pressure operating margins. The report cited an Oracle investor day scheduled for October 28, 2026; that date is now past, and the account does not establish what the company said at the event.
EyePoint (EYPT): a high-stakes clinical catalyst
Mizuho’s reported $39 target followed an approximately 80% share-price decline after the first late-stage trial of Duravyu for wet age-related macular degeneration missed its primary goal. Mizuho expected the second trial result, then due in late October 2026, to be positive. That was an analyst expectation—not a trial outcome. The October timing has passed, and this report does not establish the result.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WH): anticipated room and fee growth
Mizuho’s $108 target reflected an expectation that net room growth and fee growth would improve. The analyst also characterized Wyndham’s valuation as near a ten-year low. Those are reported judgments; the October 8 account does not provide the underlying valuation calculation or a current share price with which to reassess it.

The reported $105 target was tied to the U.S. launch of Motiva implants. Investing.com said third-quarter results were expected around November 5, 2026. That expected reporting date has passed, but the account does not supply the results or establish how the launch has progressed since then.
UnitedHealth Group (UNH): ratings, earnings and politics
Mizuho’s $493 target cited upcoming Medicare Advantage star ratings, third-quarter earnings and the 2026 midterm elections as catalysts. Investing.com also reported that the stock had fallen 7.3% since September 1 while the S&P 500 had gained 1.5%. Those figures describe the period stated in the October 8 report, not current performance.
Air Liquide (AIRP): electronics demand and investor attention
Mizuho’s reported €200 target drew on a record €2.4 billion electronics backlog. The news report also noted that Air Liquide held an investor day on October 5, 2026, and that Elliott had recently taken a stake. The account does not quantify the stake or establish what followed the investor day.
Rank #4
Brixmor Property Group (BRX): redevelopment and an acquisition
Mizuho’s $30 target was reported as 16.0% below consensus, a reminder that inclusion in a Top Picks list did not mean every target was above the market’s prevailing expectations. The thesis cited self-funded redevelopment projects and a $2.34 billion grocery-center acquisition expected to close in the first quarter of 2027. The reported closing date was prospective; the October 8 account does not confirm whether the transaction later closed.

Mizuho’s October list was a collection of analyst ideas, not a model portfolio or a single investment strategy. A clinical-trial catalyst, hotel fee growth, cloud infrastructure spending and property redevelopment each involve different business drivers, time horizons and risks. Inclusion alone does not show how much an investor should allocate to any stock—or whether it fits a particular person’s goals.
Best Value
- Targets are opinions, not outcomes. The dollar and euro targets are attributed to Mizuho as reported by Investing.com. They do not guarantee a return, and the cited story is dated October 8, 2026.
- Several catalysts were time-bound. The report’s late-October trial expectation, November 5 earnings expectation and October investor-day date have passed. The story alone cannot confirm subsequent results or developments.
- Targets were not uniformly above consensus. Brixmor’s target was reported below consensus, while Oracle’s was reported above Bloomberg consensus. These are distinct comparisons and should not be mistaken for a full, current valuation analysis.
Investing.com also reported that Mizuho expected or sought investment-banking compensation from Oracle and Vaxcyte in the coming three months, and had received such compensation from Oracle during the preceding 12 months. That relationship is relevant context when weighing Mizuho’s Oracle analysis; it does not by itself establish that the thesis is wrong.
