North.cloud, which helps companies watch their cloud, AI and data spend, announced on October 15, 2026, that it raised a $60 million Series B led by PeakSpan Capital. The round brings the company’s reported total funding to $67 million, according to Axios. Investors in the financing also include Litquidity Ventures, Companyon Ventures, Alpaca, Uncommon Denominator, Gaingels and Mana Ventures.
What North.cloud’s financing means
The Series B gives North.cloud capital to expand a category that has become harder for finance teams to control: infrastructure spending spread across public clouds, artificial-intelligence services and data platforms. The company says the new funding will support broader optimization capabilities, additional integrations, AI-spend management and team growth.

PeakSpan Capital partner Sanket Merchant said cloud was where the spending problem began and that AI has accelerated infrastructure into one of the fastest-growing and least-governed lines on corporate profit-and-loss statements. PeakSpan vice president Yaseen Abdulridha described North.cloud’s longer-term opportunity as an “agentic managed service” that could continuously perform work traditionally handled by a FinOps team.

North.cloud describes its product as an infrastructure-spend intelligence and automation platform. It is designed to give finance and engineering teams one view of costs, usage and controls across cloud, AI and data services rather than requiring separate dashboards and manual analysis.

Coverage across the major clouds
The company’s North v3 release added Microsoft Azure, completing stated coverage of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. That cross-cloud scope is intended for organizations whose workloads are distributed among multiple providers or move between them over time.
AI and data integrations
North v3 also introduced native integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic and Snowflake. These connections bring model and data-platform usage into the same financial view as cloud infrastructure. North says TokenFlow handles model usage, attribution, budgets and financial controls, while Autobot is its autonomous commitment-laddering engine.
Rank #2
Commitment management matters because companies often receive lower rates by agreeing to use a defined amount of cloud capacity for a period. The financial benefit depends on accurate forecasts; overcommitting can leave a company paying for unused capacity, while undercommitting can forfeit discounts. North.cloud’s stated automation focus is intended to reduce the amount of manual monitoring required for those decisions.

The figures below come from North.cloud or, where noted, from Axios’ reporting based on comments by chief executive and co-founder Matt Biringer. They should be read as company-reported or executive-reported metrics, not independently audited results.

North.cloud names AssemblyAI, Atlan, Tines, SnapLogic, Emplifi and Imply among its customers. AssemblyAI head of inference Ben Gotthold said the company’s effective savings rate had stayed around 50% while its infrastructure scaled considerably during the prior year. That is a customer statement about AssemblyAI’s experience, not a guarantee of results for every organization.
How the platform is positioned for finance and engineering teams
Cloud costs are often created by engineers but paid from budgets overseen by finance. AI usage adds another layer: bills can depend on model, token volume, application, team and workload. North.cloud’s pitch is to connect those operational details to financial controls so teams can identify who or what is driving spend, set budgets and automate selected actions.

Biringer said North sits inside the existing technology stack and automates FinOps “in just a few clicks,” rather than presenting a dashboard that someone must interpret. In practical terms, buyers evaluating the platform would need to determine which actions can be automated safely, what approval controls exist and how attribution data maps to their accounting and budgeting processes.

What the new capital could change
North.cloud has said the financing will fund expansion in four areas:
Best Value
- More optimization capabilities for cloud and infrastructure commitments.
- Additional integrations with services used by engineering, data and AI teams.
- Tools for monitoring and controlling AI-related spending.
- Hiring and broader company growth.
The announced Azure coverage and OpenAI, Anthropic and Snowflake integrations indicate that the company is extending beyond traditional cloud-cost dashboards toward a combined cloud, AI and data-finance system. Whether that strategy translates into durable savings will depend on implementation quality, the accuracy of usage attribution and how much authority customers give automated controls.
Questions investors and buyers should still ask
- Are the savings independently verified? North.cloud reports more than $400 million in customer savings, but the announcement does not provide an independent audit methodology.
- What does retention include? The company reports 98.8% retention, without the announcement specifying whether this is logo retention, dollar retention or another measure.
- How autonomous is Autobot? Prospective customers should clarify which commitment changes are automatic, which require approval and how forecasts are updated.
- How complete is attribution? AI and data costs can be difficult to assign across products and teams; buyers should test the detail available for their own billing structures.
- What is included in each cloud integration? Provider coverage does not necessarily mean identical functionality across AWS, Azure and GCP.
Why this round matters in the broader market
The financing signals investor interest in software that treats infrastructure as a financial operating system rather than a reporting-only problem. Cloud, model and data bills can grow faster than headcount, and the people responsible for controlling them often work in different departments. North.cloud is using its Series B to argue that shared visibility plus automation can close that gap.
For now, the clearest confirmed milestone is the financing itself: a $60 million Series B led by PeakSpan Capital, taking reported total funding to $67 million. The company’s next test will be turning its stated cross-cloud, AI and data coverage into measurable, repeatable controls for the roughly 200 customers cited by its chief executive.
