Motorola Mobility did announce Black Friday 2025 promotions, including an advertised saving of up to $500 on selected phones in the U.S. The promotion ran from November 24 through November 30, 2025, while supplies lasted. Those offers have expired; the prices and codes below are historical, not currently purchasable.
The surviving official evidence confirms the headline and dates, but not a complete U.S. model-by-model price list. That distinction matters when comparing Motorola.com with Amazon, retailers and carriers.

What Motorola officially announced
A November 24, 2025 Motorola Mobility marketing email advertised up to $500 off selected phones. Its terms stated that the U.S. promotion began at 12:01 a.m. CST on November 24 and ended at 11:59 p.m. CST on November 30, or earlier if supplies ran out. The offers could not be combined with other promotions.

“Up to $500 off” was a maximum advertised saving, not a $500 reduction on every phone. The indexed official material does not establish which exact U.S. model received the maximum discount, so it would be misleading to apply that figure universally to the Razr, Edge or Moto G ranges.
Which phones were associated with the 2025 sale?
The main families connected with the promotion and holiday coverage were:
- Razr 2025
- Razr+ 2025
- Razr Ultra 2025

- Moto G phones
The Razr line was a major focus, but reported offers came from different sellers and should not be merged into one Motorola.com price table.

Motorola.com versus Amazon, retailers and carriers
Where you bought the phone could change both the price and the conditions:
- Motorola.com: generally the clearest route to an unlocked phone, direct Motorola support and Motorola’s trade-in process. The largest advertised discount may have applied only to selected models, and sale prices or codes were not necessarily stackable.
- Amazon: could offer a deeper instant markdown, but buyers needed to check the seller, warranty, return policy, exact storage version and whether the phone was unlocked.
- Major retailers: might use instant discounts, bundles, gift cards or open-box inventory. The listed “saving” could reflect an earlier permanent price cut rather than a new Black Friday reduction.
- Carriers: could advertise larger savings through a qualifying plan, new line, trade-in or monthly bill credits. Those credits usually were not an immediate discount, and canceling service early could forfeit the remaining credits.
For a personal-finance comparison, calculate the total cost—not just the headline saving. Include the phone price, taxes, service-plan cost, required trade-in, financing charges and any value lost if bill credits end early.
Were trade-ins required?
Not every 2025 offer necessarily required a trade-in. Where a trade-in was part of the deal, its value should be treated as a conditional credit rather than guaranteed cash savings.

Motorola’s U.S. trade-in program is handled through Phobio. The initial quote can be revised after the old phone is inspected, and the customer can accept or reject the revised value. Motorola also promoted Black Friday campaigns outside the United States. Motorola Brazil’s archived “Moto Friday” page covered Moto G, Edge and accessory products. Motorola Argentina announced a November 27–December 1 promotion with up to 12 interest-free installments and free shipping.

How to judge whether a Motorola deal was worthwhile
- Compare the final price with the phone’s recent selling price, not only its MSRP.
- Confirm the exact model, storage capacity and regional version.
- Verify that an unlocked phone works with your intended carrier.
- Separate an instant discount from a trade-in credit or carrier bill credits.
- Add the cost of any required service plan, financing and taxes.
- Check whether the offer can be combined with another coupon or trade-in.
- Review the seller’s warranty and return policy, especially on marketplace listings.
- For carrier deals, calculate the cost if you leave before all credits are paid.
What happened after Black Friday 2025?
The U.S. promotion ended on November 30, 2025. The reported prices and promotional code are historical and should not be presented as live offers in 2026. Readers looking for a later Motorola discount should check the company’s current specials page and verify every price and condition at checkout.
The practical conclusion is straightforward: Motorola did share genuine 2025 Black Friday promotions, but “up to $500 off” was a selective headline rather than a universal phone discount. Motorola.com, Amazon, retailers and carriers offered different combinations of price cuts, codes, trade-ins and service commitments, so the cheapest-looking deal was not necessarily the lowest total cost.
