This was a Mother’s Day-week deal roundup published on May 9, 2024—not a current sale listing. It reported discounts on MacBook Pro and Air models, a Bose SoundLink Micro for $99, a Fire TV Stick 4K for $24.99 with coupon code 4KADD, and TOZO earbuds for $15. The surviving listing confirms only some product details, so treat the prices as historical and verify any present-day offer at checkout.
What the May 9, 2024 roundup actually reported
The article, titled “Today’s deals: MacBook Pro & Air blowout, $99 Bose speaker, $25 Fire TV Stick 4K, $15 TOZO earbuds, more,” was a collection of time-limited promotions published shortly before Mother’s Day. It was not a product review or a single-product offer. The archived roundup confirms the Bose and Fire TV prices below; its available text does not establish every configuration, seller, or condition behind the other headline deals.

| Product | Historical offer reported May 9, 2024 | What is established—and what is not |
|---|---|---|
| MacBook Pro and MacBook Air | Discounts were advertised; exact prices not available in the surviving extract. | The roundup said models were discounted. Chip, screen size, memory, storage, retailer, and eligible configurations are not identified. |
| Bose SoundLink Micro | $99, versus a stated regular price of $119. | The product and prices are identified, but color, seller, condition, shipping, and any offer restrictions are not stated. |
| Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K | $24.99 with coupon code 4KADD, versus a stated regular price of $49.99. |
The model name and coupon are identified. The extract does not establish seller, coupon limits, or whether other terms applied. |
| TOZO earbuds | $15. | The headline does not identify the model, seller, condition, or coupon terms. |
These are prices reported for that 2024 date, not verified offers for October 2026. A later deal roundup lists multiple Fire TV generations under similar names, including 4K Select, 4K Plus, and 4K Max; a price for one should not be treated as the price or identity of another (SeattlePI’s 2026 roundup). For a live purchase, confirm the precise item and final checkout terms rather than relying on an old headline.

MacBook Pro and Air: “blowout” is not enough to judge value
The roundup’s promotional wording said MacBook Pro and Air models were discounted, but the available listing does not show which configurations qualified or what they cost. Without those details, it is not possible to determine whether the discount was substantial or whether it applied broadly to every model. Apple’s Mac catalog is a useful place to confirm current model families, but it cannot verify a 2024 retailer promotion.

Before comparing a MacBook deal, match the configuration—not just the product family. A lower price may reflect less memory, a smaller SSD, an older chip, or a different screen size rather than a comparable discount.
- Chip and generation: Identify the processor generation and compare like with like.
- Memory and storage: Check both capacities carefully; these are central configuration choices and generally cannot be upgraded by the buyer later.
- Screen and ports: Size, display capabilities, and available ports differ across Air and Pro models and can affect whether the laptop suits your work.
- Price and condition: Compare the same configuration’s final price, and keep new, refurbished, and open-box listings separate. Apple’s refurbished Mac store is a distinct buying channel, with inventory and configurations that vary.
- Seller and protection: Check who sells and fulfills the laptop, the return window, and the warranty before treating the advertised reduction as savings.
For current product options, Apple’s Mac page can establish what Apple offers now; it does not establish the missing model details or sale price from the 2024 roundup.

Bose SoundLink Micro: a $20 historical reduction
The roundup listed the Bose SoundLink Micro at $99 rather than $119—a $20 reduction, or about 17% off that stated regular price. That calculation compares the two prices printed in the historical listing; it does not show that $119 was the product’s typical market price or prove the offer was the lowest available. The original deal page does not establish the unit’s generation, color, condition, seller, or checkout terms.
A small portable speaker may suit someone who values compact size and easy carrying. It is a weaker fit if the priority is maximum volume, stereo separation, or the lowest possible cost; the available deal evidence does not include comparative sound testing. Confirm the exact product and its return policy before buying. Bose’s portable-speaker catalog can help identify current products, but should not be used to assume that a newer model is the same one in the 2024 listing.

- SURPRISINGLY POWERFUL SOUND: SoundLink Micro’s crisp sound and impressive bass allows you to use this mini wireless speaker to break through any silence and form an in-the-moment connection.
- ULTRA-PORTABLE SIZE: The SoundLink Micro Speaker is designed to be ultra portable. A pocketable size and an improved utility strap mean you can attach the small Bluetooth speaker to a bag, slip it in a pocket, or play it from the palm of your hand.
- DURABLE DESIGN: A rugged, tiny-but-tough design means the SoundLink Micro Portable Speaker (2nd Gen) is built to bounce back. It’s dust and waterproof (rated IP67) and shock and rust resistant — so this small waterproof speaker can play rain or shine.
- UP TO 12 HOURS OF EXTENDED BATTERY: With double the battery life of the original SoundLink Micro, you can keep the connection going for up to 12 hours of your day.
- ADVANCED BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY: With an extended range of up to 30 feet and increased bandwidth, Bluetooth now brings you better connectivity over previous versions.
Fire TV Stick 4K: the coupon was part of the price
The reported price was $24.99 after using coupon code 4KADD, against a stated regular price of $49.99. That is a $25 reduction from the listed regular price, but the historical source does not establish whether the coupon was limited by account, quantity, or other conditions. It also does not establish that the offer remains active. Check the cart to confirm that the discount applies before tax and that the seller and exact model are the ones you intend to buy.
A 4K streaming device is useful only when the rest of the setup supports the intended playback: the television and HDMI input, the streaming app and content, and the internet connection all matter. Some content requires a paid subscription. The Fire TV interface may suit households already using Amazon services or Alexa, while its emphasis on Amazon content and advertising may not suit every viewer. For current models, consult Amazon’s Fire TV page; similar names across generations make it important to match the deal listing to the exact device. A competing platform such as Roku’s streaming players may be a better interface fit for some households, but the historical roundup does not compare them.

TOZO earbuds: the headline price does not identify the product
The $15 headline is insufficient to assess a specific pair. TOZO sells multiple earbud models, and the available listing extract does not identify which one was promoted. It also does not establish seller, condition, coupon requirements, battery life, noise cancellation, water resistance, codecs, microphone performance, charging connection, or warranty. Do not assume those features from the brand name or price.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAt a low price, earbuds can make sense as a backup or for a buyer with modest expectations. Before ordering, confirm the exact model, seller, return terms, and whether the displayed price requires a coupon. The TOZO store can help distinguish current models, but it does not identify the unknown 2024 deal item. Fit, call quality, and phone compatibility may matter more than a low headline price. A value-oriented alternative brand’s Soundcore catalog is another place to compare specific models, not proof that any one model is equivalent.

How to check whether a deal is real now
- Match the exact item. Confirm model, generation, configuration, and condition on the retailer’s product page.
- Calculate the checkout price. Apply any coupon and check shipping, tax, membership requirements, and bundle conditions.
- Check the seller and protections. Note who sells and fulfills the product, the return window, and warranty coverage.
- Compare like with like. Treat MSRP, a retailer’s stated regular price, and a recent selling price as different benchmarks; the 2024 headline alone does not establish a typical or lowest price.
- Confirm the fit. For a MacBook, compare chip, memory, storage, and screen. For Fire TV, confirm the model and TV/network compatibility. For audio, verify the exact speaker or earbud model and return terms.
The historical prices and descriptions above are documented in the May 9, 2024 roundup. They do not establish current inventory, current pricing, or whether any coupon still works.
