In the U.S., repairing a Galaxy Z Fold4’s inner display currently costs about $444 to $600, while a Galaxy Z Flip4 inner-screen repair runs about $279 to $420. Outer-screen repairs are typically about $99 to $178. Back-glass repairs cost roughly $118 at uBreakiFix by Asurion, and a listed battery component costs about $106.
The final bill depends on whether the technician can replace only the screen, whether the frame or hinge is damaged, the repair provider, parts availability, taxes and any active protection plan.

Samsung’s U.S. cracked-screen repair page currently lists these suggested out-of-warranty prices. They generally exclude tax and may vary by region or authorized service location.

Why Samsung lists two prices for the inner screen
These are different repair services, not conflicting prices for the same job:
- Screen Repair: Replaces only the front screen where the phone qualifies for that service.
- Screen Module Replacement: Replaces the screen, the metal bezel or frame component, and the battery as a bundled assembly.
The cheaper screen-only option may not be available if inspection finds a bent or broken frame, a swollen battery, other hardware failures, or damage involving the hinge or chassis. Ask the service center whether its estimate is for screen-only work or a complete module.
Foldable inner displays are expensive because they are part of a more complex assembly than a conventional flat-phone screen. A module replacement can make more sense when several associated components already need work, but it is not automatically the best financial choice.

The sheet also shows discounted Home+ member rates, including $498 for a Fold4 inner screen and $348 for a Flip4 inner screen. Membership pricing should not be treated as a generally available discount.
uBreakiFix says it offers free diagnostics and estimates, uses Samsung-supplied parts, is an authorized Samsung repair provider, and provides a one-year limited warranty on most repairs. Its site also says many simple repairs may be completed the same day, but foldable parts, technician availability and local store capabilities vary. Confirm that the store handles your exact model and has the required part before authorizing work.
What about hinge, frame and battery damage?
Samsung’s public price table does not provide a universal Fold4 or Flip4 hinge-repair price. A hinge problem may lead to a hinge-only assessment, a frame or chassis replacement, an inner-screen-module replacement, or a full replacement-device quote.

Request an itemized written estimate and ask:
- Is the proposed repair hinge-only, frame-related, or a complete module replacement?
- Is the inner display also damaged?
- Does the price include labor, adhesive and any required back-glass work?
- What warranty applies to the repair?
- Is the relevant part in stock?
Both phones use two battery cells. Because the uBreakiFix sheet lists main and sub-batteries separately, do not automatically add the two prices unless the provider confirms that both cells need replacement.

Samsung Care+ and warranty coverage
Cracks caused by drops, impacts or liquid exposure are generally accidental damage rather than ordinary warranty repairs. A mechanical or electrical failure may qualify for warranty service if inspection finds no accidental damage and the device meets the applicable U.S. warranty terms.
If you already have Samsung Care+, check the plan attached to your IMEI before paying an out-of-warranty price. Do not assume a damaged Fold4 or Flip4 can be newly enrolled in a current plan. Samsung’s 2026 materials say damaged devices are not eligible for open enrollment and that a condition check is required. Current benefits, deductibles, service fees and model eligibility depend on the specific plan; see Samsung’s current Care+ information.
Samsung’s August 2022 launch announcement advertised Care+ at $8 or $11 per month and cracked-screen repairs as low as $29. Those were launch-era figures and should not be treated as current prices or guaranteed Fold4/Flip4 benefits.
A damaged or loose inner-screen protector is not necessarily a damaged display, but hinge obstruction and debris require professional inspection. Do not force the hinge or insert tools into it.

Is repairing an older Fold4 or Flip4 worth it?
Compare the complete repair quote—not the phone’s original launch price—with:
- The price of a working used Fold4 or Flip4.
- The cost of a refurbished replacement.
- Your damaged phone’s trade-in value.
- The price of a newer foldable with a warranty.
- The value of your data, accessories and time spent moving to another device.
Samsung itself presents trade-in and Certified Re-Newed options alongside its repair information. The Fold4 launched at $1,799.99 and the Flip4 at $999.99 in 2022, but those original prices are no longer useful benchmarks for a 2026 repair decision.
Repairs that are usually easier to justify
- Outer screen: About $99 to $178 based on the listed Samsung and uBreakiFix prices.
- Back glass: About $118 on the uBreakiFix sheet.
- Battery: About $106 per listed battery component at uBreakiFix, subject to the diagnosis and whether one or both cells are required.
Repairs that need a replacement comparison
- Inner screen: A Fold4 quote can approach $600, while a Flip4 quote can exceed $400.
- Hinge, frame and inner display together: The final assembly quote may make a working used or refurbished phone more sensible.
- Multiple unrelated failures: Add the risk of additional age-related repairs and limited parts availability.
Mail-in versus walk-in repair
Samsung lists an estimated 5–7 business-day mail-in turnaround, but shipping, inspection and parts delays can extend the total time without your phone. Selected authorized walk-in centers may offer same-day or next-day service when the correct part, color and technician are available.
Because the Fold4 and Flip4 are older discontinued models, confirm parts availability before traveling to a repair location. A provider may need to order the component or may no longer support a particular repair.
Checklist before approving the repair
- Back up photos, messages, contacts and authenticator data.
- Record the IMEI and serial number.
- Remove SIM cards and follow instructions for payment cards or Samsung Wallet.
- Photograph the phone’s condition.
- Get an itemized estimate after inspection.
- Confirm whether the motherboard and your original data remain in the device.
- Ask whether the quoted work is screen-only or module replacement.
- Confirm parts availability and expected turnaround.
- Ask what warranty applies.
- Ask whether the provider guarantees any post-repair water resistance; do not assume the original rating remains.
