Verizon completed its acquisition of Frontier on January 20, 2026, but Frontier customers do not have to switch plans or move to Verizon accounts. The clearest ongoing consumer benefit is a $15 monthly discount on qualifying Frontier Fiber when paired with eligible Verizon mobile service. A separate credit of up to $10 a month may apply to some high-speed fiber customers. Several bigger launch offers—including six months of free fiber—are not established as currently available, so check live terms before counting on them.
Frontier is owned by Verizon, but your account has not moved
Verizon completed its acquisition of Frontier Communications on January 20, 2026. Frontier is now a Verizon company, and Verizon says its combined fiber footprint reaches 31 states and Washington, D.C. That does not mean Frontier has become Verizon Fios or that every Frontier service has migrated to Verizon systems. Verizon’s SEC filing records the acquisition date; its customer FAQ describes the current service arrangements.

For now, existing Frontier customers can keep their service, equipment, account, and current pricing. There is no immediate required action, and the acquisition alone does not require a router replacement or plan change. Frontier bills and support remain separate: continue using the MyFrontier app and Frontier support for Frontier service; manage Verizon mobile service through My Verizon. Existing Frontier deals and Frontier ForMe Rewards continue for now, according to Verizon’s FAQ.

Verizon’s Mobile + Home Discount gives eligible customers $15 a month off qualifying Frontier Fiber Internet. It is a recurring benefit subject to eligibility, not an automatic account migration or a discount on every Frontier product.

Who qualifies
- The home service must be Frontier Fiber Internet. Legacy nonfiber services, including copper or DSL service, are not covered by the stated fiber offer.
- The Frontier Fiber plan’s monthly base price must be at least $20 after current promotions and discounts. Taxes, fees, surcharges, and optional charges do not count toward that threshold.
- You must also have an eligible Verizon monthly smartphone or basic-phone plan. Business, employee, data-only, and certain other account types are excluded under the applicable terms.
- Both accounts must remain active and in good standing. You must enroll and verify the accounts; simply having both services may not be enough.
Check the Mobile + Home discount terms for exclusions that apply to your account type. Verizon’s Frontier Fiber enrollment page is the starting point for linking the services.
How to enroll and where the credit appears
- Confirm that your Frontier service is fiber and that its base price after current promotions and discounts is at least $20 a month.
- Make sure the Verizon service is an eligible monthly phone plan, not a data-only line or excluded account type.
- Sign in to My Verizon as the mobile account owner or account manager, then open the Mobile + Frontier Fiber enrollment page.
- Authenticate the Frontier account when prompted and complete enrollment.
- Allow one to two billing cycles for the credit. Check the Frontier bill: the $15 credit is applied there, not to the Verizon mobile bill.
The accounts and bills remain separate; the discount does not combine them into one payment. For example, if qualifying fiber service costs $59.99 a month before taxes, fees, equipment, and optional charges, the $15 credit reduces that service charge to about $44.99. The actual bill can be higher because other charges are not necessarily discounted.
If the credit has not appeared after two billing cycles, verify the fiber service, post-promotion price, Verizon plan, completed enrollment, and account information used for verification. Also check that neither service was suspended, cancelled, or changed to an excluded plan. If the requirements appear satisfied, contact Verizon to verify enrollment and Frontier about the bill credit.

High-speed Frontier customers may receive up to $10 toward a Verizon perk
This is a separate benefit from the $15 fiber discount. Verizon’s enrollment information says customers on Frontier Fiber 2 Gig, 5 Gig, 7 Gig, or the maximum speed available at their address may qualify for a credit of up to $10 a month on the Verizon mobile bill. The customer must be enrolled in Mobile + Home and have at least one paid eligible Verizon perk. Promotional perk offers do not qualify.
Verizon lists perks such as Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ with ads; Netflix and HBO Max with ads; Apple One; Apple Music Family; and YouTube Premium. The credit is conditional, not $10 in cash for every Frontier customer. It can end if either qualifying service is cancelled, the Frontier plan changes to an ineligible tier, or the paid perk is removed. Do the math before upgrading. If the higher-speed internet tier costs more than the value of a perk you would otherwise pay for, the credit may not make the upgrade worthwhile. A multi-gig plan also has limited value if your devices, home wiring, or Wi-Fi setup cannot use the extra speed.

Merger-related mobile offers: verify them before switching
Verizon announced a mobile offer for existing Frontier Fiber customers that included four Unlimited Welcome lines for $20 per line per month, or one line for $40 per month, with Auto Pay. The announcement also advertised an iPhone 17 with each new line without a trade-in and up to $800 toward paying off an existing phone. Verizon’s announcement establishes what it promoted, but not whether every part of the offer remains available now.
Before switching, confirm the current offer in Verizon’s live terms or checkout. In particular, check the line count required for the advertised price, whether taxes and surcharges are extra, how Auto Pay affects eligibility, and whether a phone is paid through monthly bill credits. Ask what happens to those credits if you cancel early; verify device model and storage, new-line requirements, the conditions on the payoff offer, and whether other discounts can be combined. Do not count the headline price or advertised phone value as guaranteed savings until those terms are clear.
Verizon mobile customers can check for Frontier Fiber
Frontier Fiber may now be an option for Verizon mobile customers where service reaches their address. Verizon says the acquisition expanded fiber access for its mobile customers in 16 additional states, but that does not mean every address in those states is served. Availability, speed tiers, equipment, and prices vary by location. Check your address at Frontier rather than relying on a statewide coverage description.

Compare the full post-promotion internet price with your current service. Include upload as well as download speed, equipment charges, installation costs, data limits, and any contract or price-lock terms shown for your address. The $15 Mobile + Home credit applies only if your fiber plan and Verizon account meet the stated eligibility rules.
Check Verizon Forward if you may qualify for assistance
Verizon Forward may offer discounts on eligible Frontier Fiber and other Verizon home services to qualifying customers. Eligibility and available savings depend on the state, program, plan, and address; the offer is not automatic. New York residents may qualify under the state’s Affordable Broadband Act. Review Verizon Forward eligibility and enrollment details, then confirm directly whether it can be combined with Mobile + Home or the promotional price for your address.
The six-month-free fiber promotion has expired
Frontier advertised six months free for new customers ordering Fiber 500 or Fiber 1 Gig with a Verizon mobile plan, but its promotion page gave an end date of April 22, 2026. That offer has expired. Do not include it in your expected savings unless a current Frontier or Verizon checkout page shows it has been renewed. See Frontier’s merger-promotion page.

Decide whether switching lowers your household’s total cost
If you have Frontier and are considering Verizon mobile
Compare the cost of the required Verizon lines with the savings you would actually use. Start with the $15 monthly fiber credit, then add any perk credit that genuinely replaces a perk you would otherwise pay for. Subtract Verizon’s total mobile cost and any switching costs, including device balances, taxes, surcharges, activation fees, insurance, and add-ons. Check coverage where household members use their phones, and compare lost discounts or cheaper multi-line pricing from your current carrier. The fiber credit alone may not justify a more expensive mobile plan.
If you have Verizon mobile and are considering Frontier Fiber
Check service at your exact address and compare Frontier’s price after introductory promotions with your existing internet bill. Consider upload speeds, equipment, installation, data limits, contract terms, and the rate after a promotion ends. Treat the $15 credit as part of the calculation only if the plan remains eligible at the price you will actually pay.
If you are considering a faster plan for the perk credit
The up-to-$10 credit is most useful when you already need the higher speed and already pay for an eligible perk. It is a weaker reason to upgrade if your home cannot use multi-gig speeds, the perk is not one you would buy, or the higher tier costs more than the credit and usable perk value combined.
Other Frontier and value-brand customers
The consumer Mobile + Home offer is for qualifying Frontier Fiber and eligible Verizon mobile accounts; it should not be assumed to cover Frontier business, TV, landline, or nonfiber customers. Verizon lists Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Tracfone, Walmart Family Mobile, Simple Mobile, Visible by Verizon, and Verizon Prepaid as value brands, but their eligibility rules are not identical to postpaid Mobile + Home. Verizon’s prepaid fiber offer describes a separate $15 monthly bundle discount, and the value-brand FAQ explains that program context. Check the terms for your exact brand and plan rather than applying postpaid rules to them.
Frontier business customers should check business-specific offers. Verizon’s expanded footprint includes multiple service types, but the available information does not establish one universal new discount for every Frontier TV or landline customer.
