Cyberhaven announced a $100 million Series D financing on April 2, 2025, at a reported $1 billion valuation. The round was led by StepStone Group, with Schroders and Industry Ventures joining as new investors. Cyberhaven said the financing brought its total funding to $250 million. These figures describe a private-company financing announcement—not a public market capitalization or an independently established estimate of the company’s value.

What Cyberhaven does

Cyberhaven describes itself as an enterprise AI and data security company. Its stated platform approach uses data lineage to trace where information originates, how it moves and changes, and where it may be exposed. The company says it applies AI to that data-movement information to help organizations identify and respond to risks. This is Cyberhaven’s description of its product, not an independent assessment of its effectiveness.

Cyberhaven said it planned to use the Series D proceeds for mergers and acquisitions, product innovation, and go-to-market expansion.

What the $1 billion valuation means

The $1 billion figure is the valuation Cyberhaven announced in connection with its April 2025 private financing. It is not the company’s publicly traded market value or a share price available to ordinary investors. The announcement and the company’s February 2026 update do not disclose the valuation method, the financing’s full share-class economics, or an independent fair-value analysis.

Cyberhaven’s February 10, 2026 company update again described the Series D as a $100 million round at a $1 billion valuation. It did not establish a later valuation, so the $1 billion figure should be treated as the announced valuation for that financing, not as a current market valuation.

Who invested in the round

  • StepStone Group: Led the Series D.
  • Schroders and Industry Ventures: Joined as new investors, according to the announcement.

In the investor-published announcement, Howard Ting, then Cyberhaven’s CEO, said the company was building a data security platform for enterprise security challenges. StepStone Partner Seyonne Kang characterized the data security market as undergoing a shift similar to the earlier rise of endpoint detection and response. Those comments express the speakers’ views; they do not independently establish Cyberhaven’s market position or product performance.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish

The announcements establish the financing terms Cyberhaven reported and the company’s own account of its product direction and subsequent growth. They do not provide independent financial statements, the valuation methodology, complete financing terms, or third-party validation of product outcomes. The available claims therefore offer context about the company and its fundraising, but are not enough to assess its financial health or determine what its shares would be worth in a transaction.
