The biggest differences were between short introductory discounts, prepaid annual plans and bundles that included non-streaming benefits.

No single offer was best for everyone. A $49 Walmart+ membership could be poor value for a streaming-only customer, while a direct subscription could make more sense for someone who wanted one specific catalog.

Paramount+: the best short binge, especially at Premium tier
Paramount+ was reported at $2.99 per month for the first two months, with the promotion extending to December 2, 2025. The standout feature was that Premium was reportedly available at the same promotional price as Essential in the applicable offer. That made Premium the stronger choice for viewers who wanted Paramount+ without the ordinary ad-supported tier.

The deal suited a planned two-month binge of Paramount and CBS programming, Star Trek, films or included sports and news. It was less attractive as a permanent subscription because the low price ended after two billing cycles.
Coverage described the offer as available to new subscribers and, in some accounts, returning or lapsed subscribers. Eligibility was not universal across accounts, locations or billing channels. Check the Paramount+ signup page for current plan terms when a comparable promotion is live.
Starz: the strongest pure annual discount
Starz was widely reported at $11.99 for one year, compared with a regular annual price reported at $69.99 during the promotion—about 83% off that reference price. It was the clearest long-term price winner for someone who actually wanted Starz originals and its rotating movie catalog.

Starz’s direct app subscription was promoted as ad-free. That should not automatically be equated with Starz access purchased through Amazon, Roku, Apple or another third-party channel, where billing, features and cancellation can differ. The Starz signup page is the appropriate place to check renewal terms for a current offer.
MasterClass: best for learning, not entertainment
MasterClass offered 50% off an annual membership through Cyber Monday, according to contemporaneous coverage. It belonged in a streaming-deal comparison because the product is video-based, but it served a different purpose: classes in subjects such as cooking, business, creative work and other skills.
The discount made sense for a buyer who expected to complete several classes or wanted a gift. It was a poor substitute for a movie or television service. Gift purchases and personal memberships can have different redemption terms, so buyers needed to confirm those details before checkout.

Because the precise dollar amount was not independently confirmed from an archived official offer page, the safest historical description is the reported 50% discount rather than a fixed price.

Walmart+: a bundle, not “free Paramount+”
Walmart+ was reported at $49 for one year during Cyber Monday 2025. The membership included a choice between Paramount+ Essential and Peacock Premium. Walmart’s benefit launched in September 2025 and allowed members to switch their selected service every 90 days.
That meant one ad-supported streaming service at a time—not both services simultaneously and not the ad-free versions. Joining Walmart+ also did not necessarily activate the streaming benefit automatically: the member had to select and link the service.
Walmart+ was potentially valuable for regular Walmart shoppers who used delivery, shipping, grocery or fuel benefits. It was not automatically the cheapest way to obtain streaming. Someone who rarely used Walmart would need to value a full year of ad-supported Paramount+ or Peacock on its own before buying.

Max, Disney+/Hulu and Apple TV+
Max
Max appeared in 2025 coverage at roughly $2.99 per month for a reported first year or other promotional term, depending on the offer. It was a strong choice for HBO, Warner Bros. and prestige television viewers, but readers needed to confirm whether the price applied to an ad-supported plan, what video quality and simultaneous-stream limits applied, and what happened at renewal.
Disney+ and Hulu
Holiday promotions covered Disney+ and Hulu-related bundles. They were attractive for families and households wanting Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and Hulu’s broader entertainment catalog. The cheapest configuration was not necessarily ad-free, and the bundle’s exact contents and renewal price mattered more than the headline discount.
Apple TV+
Apple TV+ promotions were aimed at new or otherwise eligible accounts and generally involved a short introductory term. The service could be worthwhile for a viewer focused on its original series and films, but its catalog was smaller than that of a generalist service. It was a poor choice if the buyer expected a broad replacement for cable or a large back catalog.
Ad-supported does not mean ad-free
Deal headlines often blurred plan quality. An ad-supported plan can include commercial breaks during ordinary programming. A no-ads plan generally removes most on-demand advertising but may still include promotional material, trailers, live-programming interruptions or sports advertising.

Walmart+’s streaming benefit was specifically for Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium, not the ad-free tiers. Conversely, the direct Starz offer was promoted as ad-free, although third-party channel billing could have different terms. Always confirm the exact tier shown at checkout.
Direct subscription versus a bundle

Cancellation generally had to be completed through the same company that billed the subscription. Canceling a service often stopped the next renewal rather than immediately removing access, but the precise rule depended on the provider and purchase channel.
Eligibility and renewal warnings
- Do not assume existing subscribers qualify. Some offers included returning subscribers; others were restricted by account status or billing platform.
- Avoid duplicate accounts. Opening a second account can create overlapping charges if the original subscription remains active.
- Compare like with like. A two-month Paramount+ offer and a prepaid one-year Starz offer cannot be compared by headline percentage alone.
- Record the renewal date. Paramount+’s discounted price covered two months; Starz’s deal covered a prepaid year.
- Check taxes and time zones. Displayed prices may exclude taxes, and promotions can end at a stated time before the calendar day is over.
- Verify catalog availability. A title can leave before the subscription term ends.
Cyber Monday subscription checkout checklist
- Confirm the promotional price, plan tier and ad status.
- Read the full renewal price and billing frequency.
- Record the first date a full-price charge can occur.
- Confirm whether the purchase is direct or billed through a retailer, app store or channel provider.
- For Walmart+, separately activate and link the chosen streaming benefit.
- Screenshot the confirmation page and save the receipt.
- Set a calendar reminder before the promotional term ends.
- Cancel through the original billing platform if you do not want renewal.
