What Claro’s June 2025 promotion actually offered
A report published June 3, 2025, listed different phone prices according to the Claro plan selected. The device prices below are historical promotional figures, and the monthly fees are those reported at the time. The report does not establish all eligibility, contract, installment, billing, or shipping terms.

The reported prices and comparison amounts come from Nanobits’ June 3, 2025 coverage. The R$2,100 figure belongs to the standard V50 5G. For the V50 Lite, the reported reduction was R$1,500 on Controle 30 GB or R$1,600 with either listed postpaid plan.

How the plan changes the real cost
A lower device price does not automatically mean a lower overall bill. To illustrate the difference, adding 12 months of the reported plan fees to the V50 Lite price gives the following arithmetic scenarios. They exclude other fees or price changes and are not claims that the promotion required a 12-month commitment.

On those reported figures, choosing the 170 GB postpaid plan rather than Controle 30 GB lowered the phone price by R$101 but added R$160 per month in service fees. The 320 GB plan lowered the handset price by the same R$101 versus Controle, while adding R$260 per month. If you would not otherwise pay for that much data, the extra service cost can quickly outweigh the handset saving.
What to verify before accepting a carrier price
The promotion report gives device and monthly plan prices, but does not fully establish whether the offer was limited to new lines, upgrades, particular regions, or approved customers; whether a minimum stay or cancellation charge applied; how the phone could be paid for; or whether billing conditions affected the price. Check the final order and plan terms rather than assuming those details.

- Confirm that checkout identifies the 8 GB/256 GB V50 Lite 5G, not the standard V50 5G.
- Check the current device price, stock, plan fee, payment schedule, eligibility and any minimum commitment in the checkout flow.
- Compare the combined phone-and-service cost with buying an unlocked phone and keeping your existing plan or choosing a cheaper one.
- Ask whether the manufacturer’s warranty benefits apply to a Claro purchase and whether registration or documentation is required.
Is the V50 Lite a good fit?
The Brazilian V50 Lite 5G is a midrange phone whose standout listed features include a large battery, fast charging, an AMOLED display and 5G. JOVI’s product page and technical specifications list the following hardware:

Virtual memory expansion is not additional physical RAM. IP65 means dust protection and resistance to low-pressure water jets; it does not make the phone suitable for swimming or immersion. JOVI describes the rating as laboratory-tested and notes that resistance can decline with use. Camera resolution alone does not establish image quality, and the Dimensity 6300 should not be treated as a flagship processor or a guarantee of demanding-game performance.

Availability and JOVI support in Brazil
Claro’s black and gold product listings are not proof that the 2025 prices remain available. The pages showed a stock-notification option rather than a confirmed purchasable offer. Treat the reported prices as historical unless a current Claro checkout confirms them.
JOVI, a smartphone brand of vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd., announced the V50 Lite 5G as its first smartphone produced in Brazil, with assembly in the Manaus Free Trade Zone. Its announced “Pacote de Benefícios 5 Estrelas” covers qualifying Brazilian purchases made before January 1, 2027: one year of screen protection with one replacement subject to a R$300 fee; two years of total warranty against defects; three years of free case and screen-protector replacement; four years of battery warranty if capacity retention falls below 80%; and five years of annual technical review. The announcement does not establish here whether every Claro-sold unit qualifies, so confirm channel eligibility and any registration requirements with JOVI. See JOVI’s announcement and conditions.

Who might have benefited from the deal?
It could make sense if
- You already wanted a Claro plan with similar data and can confirm the device price and terms.
- The Controle 30 GB plan suits your usage, and the reported R$1,700 device price is actually available to you.
- You value carrier billing or phone-payment convenience enough to accept the plan’s total cost.
It may be a poor fit if
- You would choose a much cheaper plan without the phone promotion, or you use little mobile data.
- You are comparing only the advertised handset price instead of adding service costs over the period you expect to keep the plan.
- You need a phone immediately and the Claro listing offers only a stock alert, or you expect the V50 Lite to have received the V50’s R$2,100 reduction.
