Citrix Expands Arrow Electronics Deal to Manage All CSP Business in North America and Europe

Citrix announced on February 12, 2026, that it is expanding its relationship with Arrow Electronics to cover all Citrix Service Provider (CSP) business in North America and Europe. Effective March 1, 2026, Arrow became responsible for the commercial and partner-management side of those relationships, including transactions, pricing, discounts, incentives, availability communications, and partner engagement. Citrix retains responsibility for product strategy, development, engineering, and technical support.

What Citrix’s Arrow agreement changes

This is an expansion of an existing distribution and partner-management arrangement, not a new acquisition or a transfer of Citrix’s technology organization to Arrow.

For CSPs and managed service providers in North America and Europe, Arrow is now the principal commercial contact for Citrix CSP business. The announcement covers all CSP business in those regions, rather than only smaller service providers.

Citrix’s official announcement says the companies expect the expanded model to reduce duplicated processes, create a more unified partner experience, and allow Citrix to focus more heavily on innovation, engineering, and technical support. Those are stated objectives; the companies did not publish independently verified efficiency or revenue results.

Arrow describes itself as the exclusive Citrix distributor for CSP, mid-market, and SMB partners in North America and Europe. That designation is regional and segment-specific; it should not be read as applying to every Citrix partner or customer worldwide. See Arrow’s Citrix channel page for current partner information.

What CSPs and MSPs should do now

The main operational change is the route for commercial questions and transactions. Partners should confirm their account-specific process with Arrow because workflow can vary by country, account type, existing agreement, and Arrow operating entity.

  1. Confirm your Arrow account status. Check whether your organization is already established with Arrow and whether additional onboarding or contract paperwork is required. The Arrow Citrix partner portal provides onboarding and FAQ information.
  2. Verify the quoting route. Confirm where new quotes, quote revisions, and quote approvals are handled. Arrow’s FAQ says North American quotes can be viewed through ArrowSphere.
  3. Request written commercial terms. Ask specifically about discounts, incentives, margins, quote-validity periods, currencies, minimum commitments, and renewal treatment.
  4. Map renewals and existing orders. Determine who owns each upcoming renewal and whether previously issued quotes or orders continue under their original arrangements.
  5. Separate commercial and technical escalation. Use Arrow for pricing, transactions, availability, and partner engagement, while confirming the appropriate Citrix route for product and technical-support issues.
  6. Review customer communications. Check whether your customer contracts require notice of a distributor, billing, or commercial-process change.
  7. Check regional handling. A CSP serving customers in both North America and Europe may need separate processes for regional entities, currencies, tax treatment, or contracting.

Does the deal change Citrix technical support?

Citrix says it continues to lead product strategy, product development, engineering, and technical support. The announcement therefore primarily changes the commercial and partner-management interface, not ownership of the Citrix platform or its roadmap.

That does not necessarily mean Arrow has no support-related role. Arrow may provide partner-facing enablement or distributor assistance depending on the service and region. Partners should not assume that every ticket follows one universal path; they should confirm the escalation process for their account.

Does pricing or licensing change?

The public announcement confirms that Arrow will manage pricing, discounts, and incentives, but it does not publish a universal Citrix price list, CSP rate card, partner margin schedule, or discount table.

Arrow says its pricing model is communicated directly to channel partners. That means the expanded agreement alone does not establish that Citrix licenses will become more expensive or less expensive, that all CSPs will receive identical terms, or that customer renewal pricing will automatically change.

Partners evaluating the financial effect should request written terms covering:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • License and consumption commitments
  • Discount approval rules
  • Incentive and rebate eligibility
  • Renewal pricing and ownership
  • Quote expiration and amendment rules
  • Currency, tax, and regional billing treatment

What happens to existing contracts and renewals?

Citrix’s 2025 transition announcement said existing orders, including customer support and maintenance orders, would not be affected by that transition and that previously placed orders would continue under applicable arrangements. That statement concerned the 2025 distribution change and should not automatically be treated as a complete rule for every 2026 CSP contract.

There is no public 2026 renewal playbook in the sources reviewed. CSPs should therefore verify renewal ownership, existing distributor obligations, incentive treatment, license-count changes, customer notification requirements, and any contract-assignment or onboarding paperwork directly with Arrow and Citrix.

How the relationship evolved

Date Development
August 29, 2024 Citrix announced that Arrow would handle sales, marketing, and technical support for service-provider partners consuming fewer than 2,000 Citrix licenses in North America and Europe, with the transition scheduled to begin October 1, 2024. Citrix source
January 16, 2025 Citrix announced that Arrow would take responsibility for its mid-market and SMB business and become the sole distributor for channel partners in North America and Europe. Citrix source
March 3, 2025 Arrow was scheduled to assume exclusive service of Citrix’s mid-market and SMB business in the affected regions.
June 2, 2025 Arrow was scheduled to become Citrix’s sole distributor for all channel partners in North America and Europe.
February 12, 2026 Citrix announced the expansion to all CSP business.
March 1, 2026 The expanded CSP-management arrangement became effective.

Partners outside North America and Europe should not assume these changes apply to them. The announcements define the affected geography around those two regions.

Why Citrix and Arrow say they are doing this

The companies’ stated rationale is to create one commercial operating model for partners that may serve mid-market, SMB, and CSP customers. They say that consolidating processes could reduce duplication, improve operational efficiency, increase revenue predictability, and help partners operate at scale.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Citrix also says the model should let it devote more resources to product innovation, engineering, and technical support. Arrow points to its distributor scale, regional expertise, and partner enablement capabilities.

These claims describe the intended benefits, not measured outcomes. Public sources do not provide audited data showing how the agreement has affected partner costs, revenue, transaction speed, or customer pricing.

Potential benefits and trade-offs

Potential benefits

  • A more unified commercial interface: Partners working across CSP, mid-market, and SMB motions may have fewer separate commercial processes.
  • Clearer ownership of commercial questions: Arrow is the stated route for transactions, pricing, discounts, incentives, availability, and partner engagement.
  • Distributor scale: Arrow says its regional and global capabilities can support enablement and partner operations.

Potential trade-offs

  • Less direct commercial access to Citrix: Partners that prefer a direct vendor relationship may find the distributor role more prominent.
  • Pricing uncertainty: Public sources do not disclose standard margins, discount levels, or incentive mechanics.
  • Transition work: Account setup, quote migration, renewal routing, rebates, and support escalation can create friction during implementation.
  • Channel-boundary questions: Partners serving multiple customer segments may need to establish when Arrow owns the transaction and when Citrix’s enterprise organization remains involved.

CRN reported that Citrix’s enterprise team would continue managing its largest customers. That is reported interview context, not a blanket rule that every enterprise-related process is outside Arrow’s scope.

Products and opportunities in the wider channel context

CRN reported that Citrix and Arrow planned additional partner enablement around opportunities including Citrix Secure Private Access integration with Google Chrome Enterprise Premium, as well as capabilities associated with Unicon and Strong Network.

CRN also described Citrix’s broader focus on security, resilience, hybrid and multicloud environments, and vertical markets such as healthcare, financial services, and the public sector. These themes provide context for the go-to-market strategy, but they are not necessarily contractual terms of the Arrow agreement.

CRN has also reported adjacent 2026 channel changes, including consolidation of certain services-partner funding programs and simplification of the influence-partner margin structure. Those changes should be treated as separate program developments rather than provisions of this specific distribution agreement.

What remains undisclosed

  • No universal Citrix CSP price list or Arrow rate card
  • No public discount schedule or standard partner margin
  • No public incentive table
  • No complete guide for every 2026 contract or renewal scenario
  • No independently reported efficiency or revenue data
  • No detailed public explanation of all enterprise-account exceptions
  • No basis for claiming that every Citrix product or Cloud Software Group product is covered

For that reason, the deal should not be presented as a confirmed price increase, price reduction, contract transfer, or universal support-process change.

How customers should interpret the announcement

A customer that buys Citrix through a service provider may see changes in quoting, billing, renewal administration, or the provider’s commercial contact. That does not by itself mean the customer’s Citrix technology, product roadmap, or core technical-support ownership has moved to Arrow.

Customers should ask their service provider whether the change affects their quote, renewal date, invoice, contract terms, support escalation, or data-processing arrangements. The answer may differ depending on whether the customer is served through a CSP arrangement, an enterprise agreement, or another channel route.
