Interest income remained the main engine
Net interest income increased 8.46% to RMB 310.958 billion. This was the largest contributor to reported operating income and indicates that lending and other interest-earning activities continued to provide the bank’s core earnings base.

Non-interest income grew, but fees fell
CCB reported net non-interest income growth of 16.31%, even though net fee and commission income declined 1.42% to RMB 64.289 billion. The mix matters: total non-interest performance improved, while traditional fee-generating activities were weaker than in the first half of 2025.
Provisioning rose faster than expenses
Credit impairment losses climbed 20.79% to RMB 130.028 billion. That increase was faster than the growth in operating expenses, creating a material counterweight to revenue growth. Investors should therefore assess the result not only by headline profit, but also by whether recurring income can continue to absorb higher credit costs.

Balance-sheet and credit-quality position
At the interim period, CCB reported total assets of RMB 47.33 trillion, up 3.72% from the end of 2025. Total liabilities were RMB 43.49 trillion, an increase of 3.69% over the same period.

Interim dividend proposal
The board proposed a tax-inclusive interim cash dividend of RMB 2.010 per 10 shares. CCB estimates the total distribution at approximately RMB 52.582 billion. The proposed payout ratio would rise from 30.0% in 2025 to 31.0% in 2026, but the payment remains subject to shareholder approval. A proposal is not the same as a completed or guaranteed distribution; investors must wait for the required approval and applicable record and payment dates.

CCB is identified by ISIN CNE1000002H1. Its listed securities include Hong Kong ticker 939 and Shanghai ticker 601939. Those listings trade in different currencies and venues, so their prices will not match a euro indication one-for-one.
