The key change: Edge’s standalone Coupons feature is retired. Bing Shopping can still surface coupons, while Microsoft is moving several Edge shopping tools into Copilot in Edge.
What changed in Microsoft Edge Shopping?
Older instructions often point to a shopping-tag icon or an Edge checkout flyout. Microsoft is consolidating several shopping capabilities into Copilot in Edge, and the old standalone Coupons feature has been retired. The transition is rolling out, so the interface and available features can differ by market, account, browser version, and rollout status.

| Older Edge experience | Current direction |
|---|---|
| Shopping-tag icon | Shopping features are moving into the Copilot sidebar where available. |
| Standalone Coupons feature | Retired. Bing Shopping may still surface coupons, but that is not the same feature. |
| Checkout flyouts | Standalone tools are being discontinued or consolidated during the transition. |
| Price comparison and history | Available as Copilot shopping features where supported. |
| Price tracking | Copilot provides tracking controls where available. |
| Cashback | Microsoft says cashback is part of the Edge shopping transition, but it may not appear for every user. |
Microsoft’s Edge shopping update describes the transition. Its separate notice confirms that the standalone Coupons feature is retired.

Use Bing Shopping to compare products and sellers
Bing Shopping is a useful starting point when you are still deciding what to buy. Search for a product to browse listings from multiple sellers, compare listed prices, and look for query-related coupons or Buying Guides. Bing may also provide Expert Review Summary and User Review Summary features.

These summaries and product recommendations are aids to research, not a substitute for checking the original listing. Microsoft warns that generative AI can make mistakes and that prices and availability may change. Verify the exact model, specifications, stock, shipping, taxes, and return terms with the retailer before buying.
Microsoft also says it may receive compensation for some clicks, coupons, or purchases. It says compensation does not determine the ranking of algorithmic results or coupons. See Microsoft’s explanation of how Bing delivers search results.
Use Copilot in Edge for product research
Where shopping features are available, open the Copilot icon in the Edge sidebar and ask a focused question. For example: “Find noise-canceling headphones under $150,” “Compare prices for this product,” or “Show me the price history.” Copilot may return product cards with retailer, price, ratings, product details, and other buying options.
- Open Copilot from the Edge sidebar.
- Enter a product search or ask about a product page.
- Review the product cards, then select View Details to inspect buying options, sizes, stores, summaries, and any price-history chart.
- Select Buy to go to the retailer’s purchase page and check its live offer.
Card counts and displayed details can vary. Treat AI-generated recommendations and review summaries as starting points: confirm compatibility, safety, specifications, warranty, and seller details with the manufacturer and retailer. Microsoft describes the shopping workflow in its Copilot shopping guide.

Compare the total cost, not just the listed price
A lower headline price is not necessarily the better deal. Comparison tools can help locate another seller, but they may not account for every cost or condition. Compare the delivered total and the terms attached to the offer.
- Confirm the exact model number, SKU, capacity, color, and bundle.
- Check whether the seller is the manufacturer, an authorized retailer, or a marketplace seller.
- Add shipping and estimated tax to the listed price.
- Check delivery date, return window, and any restocking fee.
- Look for membership, subscription, coupon, or payment conditions.
- Compare warranty coverage and seller reliability.
For example, a listing that is $10 cheaper can cost more overall if shipping is high, the seller is unfamiliar, or the purchase has less favorable return terms. Calculate the total at checkout before deciding.
Read price history as context, not a promise
When a Copilot product detail page includes a price-history chart, use it to judge whether the current price looks high relative to prices Microsoft has identified for that item. It can help you spot past discounts and assess whether a “sale” appears close to the item’s usual price.
A chart is not necessarily a complete record of every seller, product variant, or past transaction. Check that it matches the exact product you want, and do not treat past pricing as a guarantee that the same price will return. Retailer prices and stock can change without notice.

Set a Copilot price alert
If the current price is not attractive, Copilot may let you track the product. Microsoft documents a price goal, a tracking duration, and optional email alerts. Its examples include a 20% discount goal and three months of tracking; those are examples, not a promise that every user has the same options.
- Open the product or product group in Copilot.
- Select Track Price or the alert icon and confirm tracking.
- Select Manage.
- Set a price goal, such as a percentage discount, and choose the tracking duration.
- Turn on email alerts if you want them; otherwise, notifications may remain within the Copilot app.
- To stop tracking, select Track Price or the alert icon again and confirm.
If tracking is missing, the product or retailer may not be supported, the feature may not have reached your market or account, or the page may not be recognized. Sign-in requirements and the interface may also vary during rollout. Confirm that tracking was saved and that the goal was reached before assuming an alert failed; Microsoft does not promise real-time alerts or a particular delivery time.
Look for cashback, but check the offer first
Microsoft identifies cashback as one of the shopping features being surfaced through Copilot in Edge. Depending on availability, eligibility may appear in the address bar or Copilot pane. The interface and steps are not universal, so follow the offer shown in your own browser rather than relying on a fixed sequence.
Cashback is not an instant discount: it may require activating an offer before purchase and meeting its retailer-, product-, account-, or market-specific terms. Read the offer details before checkout. Returns, cancellations, gift cards, taxes, shipping, or excluded products may affect eligibility if the offer terms say so. Keep the order confirmation and offer record in case you need to check a missing credit. Do not assume a payout date or rate unless the offer states one.

- Your hand can relax in comfort hour after hour with this ergonomically designed mouse. Its contoured shape with soft rubber grips, gently curved sides and broad palm area give you the support you need for effortless control all day long.
- You’ve got the control to do more, faster. Flipping through photo albums and Web pages is a breeze, especially for right-handers—with three standard buttons plus Back/Forward buttons that you can also program to switch applications, go full screen and more. And side-to-side scrolling plus zoom gives you the power to scroll horizontally and vertically through your music library, maps and Facebook feeds, and zoom in and out of photos and budget spreadsheets with a click.* * Requires Logitech SetPoint software (Windows) or Logitech Control Center software (Mac OS X)
- Two years of battery life practically eliminates the need to replace batteries. ** The On/Off switch helps conserve power, smart sleep mode extends battery life and an indicator light eliminates surprises. ** Battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions.
- The tiny Logitech Unifying receiver stays in your laptop. There’s no need to unplug it when you move around, so there’s less worry of it being lost. And you can easily add compatible wireless mice and keyboards to the same wireless receiver.
Compare the cashback-adjusted cost with the delivered price elsewhere. A cashback offer is a potential bonus, not a reason to buy from a substantially more expensive or less reliable seller.

Edge Express checkout is mainly a convenience feature. Where supported, it can use saved personal information and payment methods and may apply a qualifying coupon. That does not mean the retired standalone Coupons feature has returned, or that Edge will find or apply the best coupon at every checkout.
Relevant settings open at edge://settings/autofill/personalInfo for personal information and edge://settings/autofill/paymentMethods for payment methods. Before submitting an order, verify the shipping address, payment method, any coupon exclusions or minimum spend, subscription terms, and final total.
To turn off the shopping-related connected-experience control, open edge://settings/privacy, select Search and connected experiences, then turn off Save time and money with Shopping in Microsoft Edge. Microsoft says this also disables automatic coupon application where applicable. See its Express checkout instructions.

Saving information can speed checkout and reduce typing errors, but it means keeping more personal and payment information in the browser. Microsoft’s card-saving documentation says a CVV is used to authorize a card and is not stored.
Use Microsoft Rewards as a separate, indirect saving
Microsoft Rewards is a points program, not a product-price comparison or checkout cashback feature. Depending on eligibility and account-specific opportunities, users can earn points through activities such as qualifying Bing searches, MSN or Edge activity, Bing mobile activity, and Xbox activity. Available redemptions can include gift cards, sweepstakes, donations, or other options shown in the user’s market.
Do not assign points a fixed cash value: earning limits and redemption choices vary by market and account. Microsoft warns that multiple accounts, bots or other automated methods, inaccurate account information, earning from more than one country on the same day, or redeeming outside the country where points were earned can lead to suspension or invalidated points. Check the current terms in Microsoft Rewards support.

Check privacy, accuracy, and availability
Shopping features can rely on connected experiences and page content to provide recommendations, prices, coupons, and related information. Microsoft says connected experiences and shopping availability can vary by region, and an organization administrator may manage some settings. See Manage connected experiences in Edge.
Microsoft also provides a control for using Edge browsing activity to personalize advertising and experiences across Edge, Bing, Microsoft News, shopping, and related services. Its documentation says InPrivate and Guest browsing are excluded from the particular browsing-activity collection it describes. This personalization control is distinct from the shopping-connected-experience setting; changing one should not be assumed to disable every shopping feature. Details are in Microsoft’s browsing-activity privacy information.
If a shopping icon or feature is missing, check that Edge is current, sign in with a Microsoft account if the feature requires it, and review the shopping setting. A gradual rollout, unsupported region or account, disabled connected experiences, or a work or school administrator’s policy can also explain its absence. Even when a feature appears, verify prices and terms on the retailer’s live page.
