Amazon Prime Day 2025 is over. In the U.S., the event ran for 96 hours, from 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, July 8, through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Friday, July 11, 2025. It was Amazon’s first four-day Prime Day and featured millions of deals across more than 35 categories.
This updated retrospective records the event’s notable offers, best-selling products, membership rules, and shopping lessons. The prices and discount percentages below were temporary July 2025 claims; they should not be treated as current prices or active promotions. Amazon’s 2026 Prime Day also took place from June 23–26, 2026, so readers looking for a live sale should verify the latest event and listing details separately.

| Duration | 96 hours |
| Eligibility | Prime-member-exclusive product deals; Amazon also promoted a 30-day trial for eligible customers |
| Scale | Millions of deals across more than 35 product categories |
| Geography | Prime Day offers were available to members in more than 25 countries, with local pricing, stock, and terms |
| New feature | Today’s Big Deals, daily Prime-member deal drops beginning at midnight PDT |
The event’s core U.S. dates and sale details came from Amazon’s own event announcements and recap. Amazon called Prime Day 2025 its biggest Prime Day yet, but claims about scale, savings, and records should be understood as company-reported figures rather than an independent audit.
The most notable Prime Day 2025 deal categories
Amazon’s preview covered electronics, beauty, fashion, home products, household essentials, groceries, toys, books, pet products, and premium brands. Many offers were expressed as “up to” discounts, meaning the maximum applied only to selected products rather than every item in a category.

Televisions, laptops, tablets, and accessories
- Televisions: up to 40% off select models from Samsung, Sony, LG, and Hisense.
- Anker: up to 40% off select chargers and speakers.
- Samsung Chromebooks: up to 40% off select models.
- ASUS laptops: up to 30% off select models.
- Samsung tablets: up to 35% off select models.
Amazon’s daily event coverage gave more specific examples, including a Sony 65-inch 4K television advertised at 57% off and a Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go advertised at 37% off. Those percentages describe the July 2025 offers only. They do not establish the products’ current prices, specifications, or availability.
Amazon devices and entertainment hardware
Amazon promoted Echo Dot Kids bundles, Fire 7 Kids tablet bundles that included Kids+ and a backpack, and other Amazon-device promotions. Its post-event recap identified the Fire TV Stick HD and Ring Battery Doorbell as two of the event’s best-selling items, and said members purchased millions of Alexa-enabled devices.
If you are researching one of those products now rather than trying to recover a 2025 deal, check the current Amazon price for Fire TV Stick HD or Ring Battery Doorbell and confirm the exact generation, bundle, seller, and included accessories before buying. A product name that looks identical in a search result can represent a different configuration from the one discounted during Prime Day.

Amazon advertised up to 50% off select Levi’s apparel and up to 50% off select Zappos styles, along with promotions involving Crocs, Steve Madden, Merrell, Vans, Columbia, and other brands. One daily-deal example was a pair of Levi’s women’s 501 Original Shorts advertised at 58% off.
The event also featured the Stanley H2.0 FlowState 40-ounce Quencher, which Amazon cited at 45% off in its event coverage. Apparel sizes, colors, and drinkware finishes can sell out independently, so the advertised maximum discount did not necessarily apply to every variation.
Beauty, personal care, home, and appliances
Beauty promotions included brands such as Elemis, Kiehl’s, Milk Makeup, and Too Faced. Home and appliance promotions included Shark, Dyson, Bissell, Breville, and Ninja.
Amazon’s daily-deal coverage also cited a Philips coffee machine and milk-frother bundle at 50% off. Its post-event recap named Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray and Philips Sonicare products among the products customers purchased heavily.
Recommended Free Tools
For expensive appliances, vacuums, and personal-care devices, compare the exact model number rather than relying on the brand name alone. Retailers frequently sell versions with different attachments, capacities, accessories, warranties, or model suffixes.
Examples from the event’s daily deal drops
The following examples are useful as an archive of what Amazon promoted, not as a current shopping list:
| Product or category | Advertised Prime Day 2025 discount | How to interpret it now |
|---|---|---|
| Sony 65-inch 4K television | 57% off | Historical event-time claim; verify the exact model before comparing with a current listing |
| Levi’s women’s 501 Original Shorts | 58% off | Applied to the cited style and variation, not necessarily all Levi’s products |
| Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go | 37% off | Confirm the current generation, processor, storage, and operating-system support |
| Philips coffee machine and milk-frother bundle | 50% off | Bundle contents matter; a standalone machine is not an equivalent comparison |
| Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 | 40% off | Temporary July 2025 offer; check storage, carrier status, condition, and warranty |
| Amazon Echo Buds | 60% off | Confirm the generation and whether the listing is new, refurbished, or used |
| Stanley H2.0 FlowState 40-ounce Quencher | 45% off | Color and finish availability can differ from the featured deal |
“Up to” and headline percentage discounts are not the same as guaranteed savings on the item a shopper wants. A 60% discount on one configuration does not mean every configuration—or even the product’s usual selling price—fell by 60%.
What Amazon reported after Prime Day 2025
Amazon said Prime Day 2025 generated record sales and sold more items than any previous four-day period that included a Prime Day event. The company also said customers saved billions of dollars across millions of deals and that independent sellers achieved record sales and record item volume.
Amazon did not disclose a standalone Prime Day revenue figure in the cited post-event release. That distinction matters: “record sales” and “billions saved” are Amazon’s descriptions of the event, not a published independent revenue result.

Amazon’s recap named the Fire TV Stick HD and Ring Battery Doorbell as best sellers. It also listed Apple AirPods Pro 2, BIODANCE Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask, and Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray among the products that performed strongly.
Amazon’s pre-event material said independent sellers represented more than 60% of sales in its store. That figure describes Amazon’s broader store context; it should not be rewritten as proof that independent sellers represented more than 60% of Prime Day-specific sales.
How to tell whether a Prime Day discount was actually good
A sale badge can make a purchase feel urgent, but the relevant question is not “How large is the displayed percentage?” It is “What will I pay for the exact item I need, and is that price good compared with realistic alternatives?”
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors1. Check the price history
Before treating a discount as exceptional, check the price history for the exact model or product variation. A large percentage can be calculated against a list or reference price that is higher than the item’s normal selling price. Price history also helps distinguish a genuine low from a routine promotion.
For a future sale, save the product to a list or price alert before the event. That gives you a baseline from before the promotional period instead of asking whether the price looks attractive only after the countdown begins.
2. Match the exact model number
Model matching is especially important for televisions, laptops, tablets, phones, earbuds, smart-home products, and appliances. Compare:
- Model number and generation
- Screen size, storage, memory, processor, or capacity
- Included accessories, subscriptions, or software
- Carrier or network restrictions for phones
- New, refurbished, renewed, open-box, or used condition
- Color or size when the promotion applies only to selected variations
A retailer-specific model can be perfectly legitimate while still being a poor comparison to a review or price history for a different model.
3. Calculate the complete cost
Use the checkout total—not the headline price—as your budget number. Account for shipping, taxes, required accessories, subscription renewals, installation, batteries, filters, replacement parts, and any financing cost. A discounted printer, coffee machine, vacuum, or smart device may have recurring consumable expenses that matter more than the initial saving.

For groceries and household supplies, divide the total by the usable quantity. A larger package is not automatically cheaper per ounce, load, serving, or use.
4. Review the seller, fulfillment, warranty, and returns
Check who is selling the item and who is fulfilling it. Also review the warranty issuer, return conditions, restocking or return-shipping rules, and whether the product is an imported or region-specific version. A lower price may not be worthwhile if warranty coverage or customer-service access differs from the version you expected.
For a major purchase, it can be sensible to buy direct from the manufacturer or compare the brand’s direct price and warranty, especially for televisions, laptops, appliances, and smart-home equipment. The cheapest listing is not necessarily the cheapest low-risk purchase.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →5. Separate durable purchases from consumables
Stocking up can make sense for products you already use regularly, such as dish spray, toothpaste heads, or household staples. It is less sensible to buy beauty products, supplements, groceries, or other consumables merely because the discount is large if you may not use them before expiration or within their recommended period after opening.
Use a simple test: would you buy the product at the sale price if the event ended today and there were no further discount? If not, the promotion may be creating spending rather than reducing it.
6. Do not let limited inventory replace a budget
Prime Day’s deal drops were designed to move quickly. Amazon said new offers could appear as often as every five minutes during selected periods, while supplies lasted. That pace can encourage impulse purchases. Set a spending limit, prioritize items already on your list, and treat a missed deal as a missed discount—not a financial loss.
How Today’s Big Deals changed the event
Prime Day 2025 introduced Today’s Big Deals, a series of Prime-member-exclusive daily drops that began at midnight PDT. Amazon also said that new offers could appear as frequently as every five minutes during selected periods, subject to inventory.

The format created more opportunities to find a deal, but it also made the event harder to browse methodically. A useful strategy for future events is to separate preparation from browsing:
- Make a list of specific products and acceptable model numbers before the sale.
- Record ordinary prices for those products before the event.
- Set a maximum price for each item.
- Check deal alerts and saved lists rather than scrolling indefinitely.
- Buy only when the current price, model, seller, and terms meet the plan.
Amazon said shoppers could use Lists, Interests, Rufus, Alexa+, and Shopping Guides to monitor upcoming offers and compare products. Availability and features can change by country, account, and date, so verify what is offered in your market during a future event.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Prime membership and the other 2025 promotions
The main Prime Day product deals were exclusive to Prime members. Amazon promoted a 30-day free trial for eligible customers in connection with the 2025 event. That was a time-limited promotional message, not proof that the same trial, price, or eligibility rules apply now.
If you are preparing for a future Prime Day, check the current Amazon Prime membership price, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and trial eligibility before signing up. A membership is only a saving if the value of the benefits you will actually use exceeds the cost and you are comfortable with any recurring renewal.

Prime Day 2025 also included non-product promotions such as a Grubhub+ promotion, Amazon Music merchandise savings, and travel-related partner offers. These were historical benefits with their own eligibility and expiration rules. They should not be presented as active offers without fresh verification.
Should you compare Amazon with other retailers?
Yes. Prime Day is not automatically the lowest price in the market, and membership status can change the final calculation. For a high-value item, check competing retailers such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Costco, or Home Depot when they have a comparable summer sale. Compare the exact model, shipping date, return policy, warranty, membership requirement, and any retailer-specific gift card or credit-card promotion.
Do not compare a Prime Day price with a different product simply because the brand and headline specification look similar. A valid comparison is product-to-product and cost-to-cost.

What Prime Day 2025 means for shoppers now
There is no reason to chase a July 2025 price after the event has ended. The useful value of the event is comparative: it shows which categories Amazon emphasized, provides historical reference points for some products, and illustrates why a sale percentage alone is not enough to judge a purchase.
Readers considering a current purchase should search for the exact product, verify the current listing and seller, and compare the total price with other retailers and the manufacturer. The historic 2025 deals can serve as context, but they are not a promise that a current listing is equally cheap—or that the same product remains available.
Geography and availability
The dates, prices, and product examples in this article primarily describe Amazon’s U.S. event materials. Prime Day 2025 ran in more than 25 countries, but local versions could have different dates, currencies, taxes, inventory, membership rules, delivery terms, and discounts. A U.S. event price should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
Likewise, the phrase “best deal” is inherently product- and shopper-specific. A discount on a television may be excellent for someone replacing a broken set but irrelevant to someone without a planned purchase. The financially strongest deal is usually the one that solves a known need at a verified low total cost.

Is Amazon Prime Day 2025 still happening?
No. The U.S. event ended at 11:59 p.m. PDT on July 11, 2025. The deal prices and promotions in this retrospective are historical and should not be treated as active offers.
Did Prime Day 2025 last four days?
Yes. It ran for 96 hours, from July 8 through July 11, 2025, making it Amazon’s first four-day Prime Day event.
Were all Prime Day 2025 discounts available to everyone?
The main Prime Day product deals were exclusive to Prime members. Amazon promoted a 30-day trial for eligible customers, but trial eligibility, membership pricing, and terms can change.
Can I use the 2025 discount percentages to judge a current deal?
Only as historical context. Verify the current price history, exact model, seller, warranty, return terms, and total checkout cost before deciding whether a present-day offer is worthwhile.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Prime Day 2025 was a large, four-day U.S. shopping event with millions of deals and prominent promotions on electronics, Amazon devices, fashion, beauty, appliances, and household essentials. It ended in July 2025, so its advertised prices are archival—not current shopping opportunities. For any present or future sale, judge the exact model’s price history and total cost rather than trusting the largest percentage on the page.
