When Do Domino’s Rewards Points Expire? How the U.S. 180-Day Rule Works

In the U.S. Domino’s Rewards program, points are forfeited after 180 consecutive calendar days with no point earning or redemption. The official terms do not identify signing in, opening the app, browsing the menu, or simply having an account as activity that resets the clock. To keep standard points active, complete an action that your account records as earning or redeeming points before the 180-day period ends.

This policy is for the U.S. program. Promotional points can carry their own expiration dates, and Domino’s programs in other countries operate under separate terms.

Domino’s Rewards expiration policy at a glance

Question What the U.S. terms establish
When do standard points expire? After 180 consecutive calendar days in which the participant neither earns nor redeems points.
What happens then? All points remaining in the Domino’s Profile are forfeited without compensation.
What activity protects the balance? An account-recorded point-earning action or point redemption.
Does signing in reset the clock? Not identified as qualifying activity in the cited terms.
Do bonus or promotional points follow the same deadline? Not necessarily. An offer may specify its own expiration date, time limit, or store restriction.
Where does this policy apply? Eligible participants and participating Domino’s locations in the United States.
Can the general terms reveal your exact deadline? No. Your account history and any offer-specific conditions are needed to determine an individual date.

What the 180-day rule actually says

The central sentence in Domino’s U.S. Rewards program terms is: “If a Participant fails to either earn or redeem Points for one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days, the Participant will forfeit any Points remaining in his/her Domino’s Profile, without compensation.”

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

There are four important parts to that sentence:

  • “Fails to either earn or redeem” means the terms identify two types of qualifying activity: adding points through an eligible earning event or using points for a redemption.
  • “One hundred eighty consecutive calendar days” describes an uninterrupted period. It is a day count, not a rough six-month estimate.
  • “Any Points remaining” means the rule can remove the balance that is still in the profile when the inactivity condition is met.
  • “Without compensation” means the terms do not promise cash, credit, replacement points, or another substitute for the forfeited balance.

The rule is about account activity, not merely account access. The terms cited here do not say that logging in, opening the mobile app, changing profile details, reading an offer, or browsing the menu counts as earning or redeeming. Treat those actions as administrative or informational unless your account separately records a qualifying points transaction.

How to understand the 180 consecutive-calendar-day clock

Use the last recorded earn or redemption as your reference point

To estimate your risk, find the most recent transaction in your Rewards history that actually added points or used points. The next 180 consecutive calendar days are the period in which another qualifying action must occur. Because the published terms do not state how a particular account displays its cutoff time, do not plan to act at the last possible moment.

For example, suppose an account records a qualifying points transaction on March 4. A safe personal deadline is well before the 180-day mark that follows, rather than the evening of the final day. If the account has no recorded earn or redemption after that transaction, the balance is exposed to the inactivity rule once the full period has elapsed.

Calendar days are not “six months” in every case

Months have different lengths, so “six months” is only a shorthand and can produce a date that is early or late. Count consecutive calendar days instead. A reminder set for roughly five months after the last qualifying transaction gives you time to check the account and complete an eligible action without relying on an approximate month calculation.

Activity must be recorded, not merely attempted

The terms establish the outcome—earning or redeeming points—but do not provide a universal list of every order, channel, or adjustment that qualifies. An attempted order that is canceled, an offer viewed but not used, or a transaction that never posts to the profile should not be assumed to reset the period. Verify that the account history reflects the points event.

What counts as activity, and what does not

Point earning

Earning points is one of the two activities expressly named in the terms. The practical test is whether an eligible transaction or offer causes points to be credited to the same Domino’s Profile that holds your balance. Keep the confirmation or account-history entry until the points appear; a receipt alone does not establish that the points were posted.

Point redemption

Redeeming points is the second named activity. Domino’s describes redemption through online channels at participating U.S. locations, but reward items and their point prices can change. Select a currently available reward, confirm that the points are deducted from the intended profile, and retain the confirmation.

Actions the terms do not identify as qualifying

  • Signing in to the website or app.
  • Opening the app, browsing menus, or viewing your balance.
  • Reading or saving a promotion without using it.
  • Placing an order that does not result in a points credit.
  • Adding payment information or editing account details.
  • Buying a gift card as a supposed shortcut, because the cited terms do not establish gift-card activity as an inactivity reset.

These actions may be useful for managing an account, but they are not stated in the cited rule as substitutes for earning or redeeming points.

How to keep your standard points active

  1. Locate your last qualifying transaction. Sign in and review the Rewards or account-history area for the most recent entry that shows points earned or points redeemed. If the interface does not show a clear date, note the date on your order or reward confirmation and ask support to verify it.
  2. Set an early reminder. Record a date comfortably before 180 consecutive calendar days have passed. An early reminder is safer than trying to determine whether a late-night transaction posted before a cutoff.
  3. Check the current terms of the action you plan to use. Confirm that the order, reward, or promotion is available to your account, participating location, and channel. Point values, reward prices, and store limitations may change.
  4. Complete an eligible earning or redemption. Use the account that contains the points. Do not assume that an order under a different profile, a guest checkout, or an uncompleted transaction will affect the intended balance.
  5. Confirm the event posted. Look for the points credit or deduction in the account history. Save the order number, reward confirmation, or other record until the entry appears.
  6. Recalculate from the new recorded activity. Once the account shows the qualifying event, use that date for your next reminder. If the event is missing or the balance is unchanged, contact Domino’s support rather than assuming the clock restarted.

A simple tracking record

A small personal log can prevent an overlooked balance. Record the date, activity type, account used, points change, and the date you plan to check again. For example:

Last qualifying activity: 2026-04-12
Activity: points earned
Account/profile: [the profile holding the balance]
Points posted: confirmed in account history
Next review reminder: 2026-09-01

The dates in this example are only a tracking illustration. Use your own account’s posted transaction date and set a reminder before the 180-day limit.

Promotional points can have a different expiration date

Standard inactivity protection and promotional expiry are separate issues. Domino’s terms caution that promotional points may have conditions attached to the offer, including a pre-set expiration date, a limited redemption period, or a participating-store restriction. A promotional balance can therefore disappear even when the account has not yet reached 180 days of inactivity, depending on the offer’s wording.

Read the offer-specific conditions

Before relying on bonus points, check the promotion itself for:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • The date or time by which the points must be used.
  • Whether the points are valid only at specified stores or through a particular ordering channel.
  • Any minimum purchase, eligible-item, or redemption limitations stated with the offer.
  • Whether the points are labeled promotional, bonus, or otherwise subject to special conditions.

The general terms do not provide one universal promotional deadline. Treat each offer as its own set of conditions and do not infer that a recent login or a standard-points transaction extends a bonus that has a separate expiration date.

Where this policy applies

The cited terms describe eligible U.S. residents and redemption at participating Domino’s locations in the United States. That geographic scope matters: Domino’s loyalty programs in other countries can use different names, earning rules, inactivity periods, and expiration provisions.

If your account was created outside the United States, or you are trying to redeem at a non-U.S. location, do not apply the 180-day rule automatically. Open the terms for that local program and verify its eligibility and expiration language. Even within the United States, participation and reward availability can depend on whether a particular store participates.

How to check your balance and investigate a missing reset

Start with the account record

Review the profile that actually holds the points, not just a receipt or an email address used for an order. Compare the transaction date, points before and after the event, and any label indicating that points were promotional. If multiple profiles exist, an earning event may have posted to a different login.

Gather evidence before contacting support

  • The email address or other identifier for the Rewards profile.
  • The order or redemption date and confirmation number.
  • A screenshot or copy of the account-history entry, if available.
  • The points balance before and after the transaction.
  • The exact promotion terms if bonus points are involved.

Ask support to confirm whether the transaction was eligible, whether it posted to the correct profile, and which date the system recognizes as the last earn or redemption. The general terms cannot reveal an individual account’s exact expiration date or resolve a posting discrepancy.

Separate a posting delay from an expiration decision

A missing points entry immediately after an order does not by itself prove that the 180-day rule was applied. First determine whether the earning event was eligible and whether the points were credited elsewhere or delayed. If the account shows a forfeiture, ask support to identify the inactivity date and the terms applied. Keep the response with your records.

Common mistakes that put a balance at risk

Waiting for the exact 180th day

Last-day action leaves no margin for a failed payment, a closed participating store, a delayed posting, or a reward that is no longer available. Use an earlier reminder and verify the posted transaction.

Assuming a login is enough

The terms name earning and redeeming, not signing in. A login may let you inspect the account, but it is not identified as a clock-resetting event.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Confusing an order with a points event

An order only helps if the relevant profile records the eligible points activity. Check the account history instead of relying on the fact that a purchase was completed.

Ignoring promotional fine print

Bonus points can expire on their own schedule. A standard-points transaction does not automatically rewrite the conditions attached to a separate promotion.

Applying U.S. rules to another country

The 180-day language discussed here is tied to the U.S. program. A local Domino’s program elsewhere may use different terms.

A practical decision checklist

  • Is the account part of the U.S. Domino’s Rewards program?
  • What is the date of the last transaction that actually earned or redeemed points?
  • Has the account gone 180 consecutive calendar days without either activity?
  • Are any points marked as promotional or accompanied by separate conditions?
  • Does the intended store participate, and is the reward currently available?
  • After taking action, does the account history show the points credit or redemption?
  • If the date or balance is unclear, have you asked support to verify the account-specific record?

Keeping this checklist with your account log turns an easy-to-miss loyalty deadline into a manageable calendar task. The safest approach is to act before the 180-day period, use the profile that holds the balance, and confirm the qualifying event has posted.
