Keep using the channel shown in your policy unless you receive a direct instruction to change, and follow your policy’s claims-notification section if you need to report a loss.
What is confirmed about the acquisition
Zurich’s completion announcement, published October 2, 2026, says the acquisition completed on October 1. Zurich’s transaction hub separately records October 1 as the effective date of the scheme and October 2 as the date for completion and management changes. The deal is therefore complete; it is not waiting for a shareholder vote or a further general regulatory approval announcement. For customers, Zurich’s clearest practical statement is on its Beazley customer information page: “Beazley continues to serve customers and broker partners through its established channels and websites.” That means the acquisition announcement does not instruct every policyholder to move immediately to a Zurich telephone number, portal or website.

Will your Beazley policy still be valid?
Nothing in the published customer guidance says that Beazley policies become void because Zurich now owns Beazley. Your contract remains governed by its wording, schedules, endorsements, renewal documents and any formal notice sent to you. An acquisition announcement by itself is not a substitute for those documents.

Insurance arrangements can differ by product, underwriting entity, country, governing law and renewal date. Some policyholders deal directly with Beazley; others have a broker or another intermediary as their principal contact. Because the official material does not provide a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction or policy-by-policy notice, do not assume that a statement about one Beazley product applies to another.
What to check in your documents
- The legal name of the insurer or underwriting entity shown on the declarations page.
- The policy period, renewal date and any automatic-renewal provisions.
- Endorsements or amendments issued after the policy started.
- Notice provisions explaining how changes, cancellation or non-renewal must be communicated.
- The broker, service team, portal or address identified for routine questions.
If a direct notice conflicts with a general web page, ask the sender to explain which document controls your policy and keep the response with your records. For a dispute about contractual rights, obtain advice appropriate to your jurisdiction; a general acquisition announcement cannot answer a legal question about your individual contract.
Do you need to contact Zurich now?
For routine administration, continue with the Beazley or broker channel associated with your policy unless you have received a specific instruction to move. Zurich’s customer page expressly says established Beazley channels remain in use. Changing channels on your own could delay a request if your policy requires notification to a particular service team or intermediary.

Use this decision path
- Routine service: Start with the telephone number, email address, portal or broker listed in your policy and latest correspondence.
- A direct Zurich notice: Follow the notice’s stated effective date and contact details, and retain a copy. If it is unclear whether it applies to your policy, ask Beazley or your broker before acting.
- A broker-placed policy: Contact the broker first unless the policy gives a different instruction. The broker can identify the servicing office and explain any renewal communication.
- An unreturned message: Use the escalation or complaints route in your policy documents rather than guessing a new contact address.
How to report a Beazley claim
Beazley’s Notify A Claim guidance says: “When reporting a claim to Beazley, in the first instance you should check your policy for guidance. Your policy will contain contact details for notifying Beazley of a claim.” The page also lists regional email contacts, but the policy-specific route should take priority because the correct address or process can depend on location and product.
Claim-notification checklist
- Locate the policy: Find the schedule, wording, endorsements and any claims card or certificate.
- Identify the notification clause: Look for “claims,” “notification,” “notice of loss,” “incident reporting” or similar wording.
- Use the listed route: Send the first notice to the contact specified by the policy, whether that is Beazley, a managing agent or your broker.
- State the essentials: Give the policy number, insured name, date and location of the event, a short description, estimated urgency and your contact details. Do not delay urgent mitigation while assembling a perfect narrative.
- Preserve evidence: Keep photographs, logs, invoices, correspondence and a copy of your notification. Follow any instructions about experts, repairs, records or security measures.
- Record acknowledgement: Save the claim reference, recipient, date and time. If you receive no acknowledgement, follow up through the same policy-specified channel.
Do not presume that a Zurich corporate switchboard is the correct claims destination unless your policy or a direct notice tells you to use it. A claim can be time-sensitive, so use the notification deadline and method in your contract rather than waiting for a general integration announcement.
Could premiums, coverage or renewals change?
The reviewed official announcements do not say that premiums will rise or fall, that coverage will broaden or narrow, that renewals will be handled differently, or that claims decisions will change for all policyholders. They also do not promise that every individual policy is unaffected. The answer for your account comes from your renewal offer, endorsement, cancellation notice or other communication issued under the policy.

When a renewal arrives
- Compare the renewing insurer name, limits, deductibles, exclusions, territorial scope and premium with the expiring documents.
- Check whether the notice identifies a new servicing entity, payment instruction or claims contact.
- Ask for clarification in writing if a changed term is not explained.
- Do not let uncertainty about ownership cause you to miss a renewal deadline or required confirmation.
If you receive a cancellation or amendment notice
Read the effective date, reason, notice period and instructions for appeal or replacement cover. The acquisition itself does not tell you whether a particular notice is valid; that depends on the policy and applicable law. Contact the stated sender or your broker promptly, and obtain independent legal or regulatory help if you believe a notice breaches your contract.
What Zurich’s integration plans mean—and what they do not
Zurich CEO Mario Greco said that integrating Beazley into Zurich’s Global Specialty business would accelerate growth, bring new solutions to existing clients, give Beazley underwriters access to Zurich’s distribution model and have those underwriters join Zurich customer-service teams. The quotation appears in Zurich’s October 2, 2026 completion announcement.

Integration can involve organizational, distribution or service changes over time, but the published figures do not specify which policyholders will experience what change or when. Treat future announcements as information to assess alongside your own policy documents, not as a guarantee of faster claims, lower prices or broader coverage.

Your policy renews before you hear anything else
Use the renewal documents and the existing broker or Beazley channel. Check the insurer name, terms and contact details; ask questions before the decision deadline.

Continue communicating through the assigned claims handler and keep every reference number. Do not restart the claim with a different Zurich channel unless the handler or a formal notice directs you to do so.

You cannot find your policy
Search prior email, broker correspondence, certificates and payment records for a policy number or claims address. Then contact the broker or the Beazley channel used previously, explaining that you need a copy of the policy and the correct notification route.
You receive an unexpected payment or bank-detail request
Verify it through a trusted number already printed on your policy or a known broker contact. Do not rely solely on an email link or an unverified change of bank details. The acquisition does not make an unfamiliar request automatically legitimate.
You are unsure whether a message applies to you
Ask the sender to identify the policy number, effective date and contractual document that supports the change. Keep the original message and response; those records can matter if a later dispute concerns notice or timing.
What has not been announced
The official sources reviewed do not provide a universal answer for every Beazley product or country. They do not announce that all policies have changed, that all claims will be handled by Zurich, that premiums will move in either direction, or that all renewals will use a new form. They also do not publish a complete policyholder-impact study. Silence on those points is not a promise that no individual policy will be affected; it means you must use your own wording and notices to determine the practical answer.
Bottom line for Beazley policyholders
Zurich now owns Beazley, with completion effective October 1, 2026. For now, the safest operational rule is simple: keep using the Beazley or broker channel shown in your policy, check the policy before reporting a claim, and treat any direct notice as the authority for your account. Zurich’s integration targets describe planned business benefits, not guaranteed changes to your premium, coverage, renewal or claim.
