Chase’s United card offers reviewed in 2026 say bonus miles are sent directly to the primary cardmember’s United MileagePlus account, not displayed as a normal line item on the Chase card statement. Check MileagePlus and the Chase rewards dashboard, verify that your identifying information matches on both accounts, then call the number on the back of the card if the stated window has passed.
The offer you accepted controls. United card bonuses can differ by card, application channel, spending deadline, eligible-purchase definition, prior-cardmember rules and account-status requirements, so a general card webpage may not describe your promotion.

1. Find the exact offer you accepted
Before counting purchases or contacting support, locate the disclosure for the application that produced your card. Save a copy or screenshot if you have one. The same United-branded card can have different bonuses or restrictions depending on when and where you applied.
Read the disclosure for these specific requirements:

- Spending threshold: the dollar amount of qualifying purchases required.
- Qualifying period: the dates by which that spending must be completed. Use the dates in the offer, not the date you first saw a public card page.
- Eligible transactions: the disclosure’s definition of a purchase and its exclusions.
- Prior-cardmember restrictions: some offers limit eligibility based on whether you previously held the card or received a bonus for it.
- Account requirements: whether the card must remain open and in good standing, or remain open for a minimum period, when the bonus is fulfilled.
If you cannot find the original disclosure, ask Chase to identify the offer attached to your application. Do not assume that a current offer or a different United card’s terms apply to your account.
2. Confirm that your spending was qualifying activity
Match each purchase you are counting to the offer’s qualifying-purchase language and transaction date. Keep the statements that show the transaction, the date and the amount. A purchase that appears in your account does not automatically satisfy a sign-up offer if the disclosure excludes that type of transaction or if it falls outside the qualifying period.

- Unauthorized or fraudulent charges
That list belongs to the cited Gateway offer. It is not a universal rule for every United card promotion. Use the exclusions written in your own disclosure, particularly if your card or application channel was different.
Use the completion date, not just the statement date
Determine when you actually completed the required spending and whether that date fell inside the offer period. Keep a running total based only on transactions that the disclosure treats as eligible. If your total depends on a transaction whose classification is unclear, flag it for the Chase representative rather than assuming it qualifies.

3. Allow the stated bonus-posting window
Chase’s current United card offer pages reviewed in 2026 instruct cardmembers to allow six to eight weeks after qualifying activity for the bonus to post. The United Club offer states: “After qualifying, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for bonus to post to your United MileagePlus account.” The wording and timing in your own disclosure control if they differ.
Start the clock after you completed the required qualifying activity, not when you opened the card or made the first purchase. Record that completion date and keep the relevant statements. If the eight-week point has not passed, continue monitoring the linked MileagePlus account while preserving your records.

It should not be substituted for the schedule for ordinary purchase miles. Chase’s United Explorer rewards agreement says regular purchase miles accrue at the end of each monthly billing cycle and appear on Chase.com and billing statements; that is a separate reward from a new-card bonus.
4. Look in the account where the bonus is supposed to appear
According to the United card offer terms, bonus miles post directly to your United MileagePlus account. They may not appear on the Chase credit-card statement. An absent statement line, by itself, is therefore not evidence that the bonus failed.
Check MileagePlus
Sign in to the MileagePlus account associated with the primary cardmember and review the balance and activity for a bonus entry. Check the date range that includes the end of your qualifying period and the following eight weeks. Make sure you are not signed in to a second MileagePlus profile with a similar name or an old email address.

Check the Chase rewards dashboard
Sign in to Chase, open the United card account and use the rewards dashboard provided for that account. Chase describes the dashboard as a place to review recent purchases, MileagePlus earnings and card benefits. Compare its purchase and earnings information with your statements and with the MileagePlus activity page. A dashboard record can help a representative determine whether Chase has marked the offer as qualified even when the miles are not yet visible where you expect them.

5. Verify the link between Chase and MileagePlus
Chase says the primary cardmember’s first name, last name and email address must match on the Chase and MileagePlus accounts for linking. Check spelling, punctuation, middle-name treatment and the email address on both profiles. A mismatch can prevent the accounts from being linked correctly even when the spending requirement was met.
Correct the identifying information
Update the incorrect information with the provider that maintains it. After making a correction, call Chase using the number printed on the back of the card and ask the representative to update or confirm the MileagePlus account number linked to the card. Have the correct MileagePlus number available, but do not post it publicly or send it through an unsecured message.
Ask the representative to confirm that the linked number belongs to the primary cardmember. An authorized user’s MileagePlus number or another household member’s profile is not a substitute for the primary cardmember’s linked account under the offer terms.
6. Contact Chase after the window has passed
If the offer’s stated posting period has ended and the miles are still absent from MileagePlus, call the number on the back of the United card. Explain that you are asking about a specific sign-up offer and request a review of the records tied to that offer.

Information to have ready
- The offer disclosure or screenshot, including the spending threshold and deadline
- The date on which you completed the required qualifying activity
- Statements or transaction details showing the purchases you believe qualify
- The primary cardmember’s name and email as they appear on both accounts
- The MileagePlus number currently linked to the card
- Any entry you see in the Chase rewards dashboard or MileagePlus activity
Ask the representative to check four items separately:
- Whether the exact offer is attached to your account and whether you were eligible under its prior-cardmember rules.
- Whether the purchases met the threshold by the deadline and were eligible under that disclosure.
- Whether the account was open and in the required standing when the bonus was due to be fulfilled.
- Whether the bonus was fulfilled, is pending, or was sent to a different MileagePlus number.
Request a case or interaction reference and write down the representative’s explanation and any promised next step. There is no universal Chase or United escalation deadline established for every offer. If Chase confirms that its fulfillment record is complete but you still cannot see the miles, ask which party is responsible for the next review and what documentation that party needs.

8. Avoid the common dead ends
Relying on a general card page
Public card pages change. They may show a different bonus, deadline or restriction from the promotion attached to your application. The disclosure you accepted is the controlling document.
Counting every kind of account activity
Transfers, advances, fees and other excluded activity can inflate an apparent spending total without satisfying the offer. Classify transactions using the disclosure before contacting Chase.

The bonus destination is MileagePlus, while Chase provides a separate dashboard for card activity and earnings. Check both systems and make sure each login is for the primary cardmember’s account.

Opening another card to replace the missing bonus
A second application does not correct a fulfillment or account-linking issue and could create a new set of eligibility and spending obligations. Resolve the existing offer with Chase first.
Sharing sensitive account details publicly
Do not post your full card number, account credentials, MileagePlus number, security answers or screenshots containing personal data in a forum or social-media thread. Use the secure phone number on the card.
9. Keep the bonus issue separate from ordinary MileagePlus earnings
United cardholders can see different kinds of miles in the same MileagePlus account. Regular purchase rewards follow the monthly billing-cycle process described in Chase’s United Explorer rewards agreement. A sign-up bonus follows the separate offer-specific qualification and posting window. If a representative discusses monthly purchase miles when you are asking about a sign-up bonus, restate that you need the fulfillment status of the promotional offer.
10. When the matter is resolved
Once the miles appear, compare the amount with the offer disclosure and save the confirmation, statement and any Chase case reference. If the amount is wrong or the miles later disappear, contact Chase again with the original offer and the previous case details rather than starting a new calculation from memory.
