Nimbus Projects’ FY2025-26 numbers answer different questions: revenue from operations shows operating activity, total revenue adds other reported income lines, profit is the accounting result after expenses and tax, and cash flow tracks actual cash movements. The figures also change materially depending on whether you read standalone company accounts or consolidated group accounts. Use the audited scope, period, line definition and unit before drawing a conclusion.
The FY2025-26 figures at a glance
The figures below come from Nimbus Projects’ audited FY2025-26 results and directors’ report issued in 2026. The source statements present amounts in ₹ lakh. One crore equals 100 lakh, so the approximate crore conversions are included for orientation; the lakh figures remain the source amounts.

| Measure | Standalone | Consolidated |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations | ₹146.73 lakh (about ₹1.47 crore) | ₹22,875.62 lakh (about ₹228.76 crore) |
| Total revenue | ₹4,214.33 lakh (about ₹42.14 crore) | ₹24,164.06 lakh (about ₹241.64 crore) |
| Net profit after tax | Not stated in the cited FY2025-26 material | ₹6,367.50 lakh (about ₹63.68 crore) |
These are full-year FY2025-26 figures, not a mixture of quarterly and annual results. A separate financial-data page displays an approximately ₹-88 crore consolidated net-profit figure for March 2026. That conflicts with the audited directors’ report and should not be quoted as Nimbus Projects’ result until its scope, units, period and data treatment are reconciled.
Why standalone and consolidated numbers are so different
Standalone accounts
Standalone accounts present the financial position and performance of the individual legal company. They do not combine every entity that the company controls. A standalone revenue figure therefore answers, “What did the parent company report in its own accounts?”

Consolidated accounts
Consolidated accounts present the group as an economic unit by combining the parent with entities included under the applicable consolidation rules, then removing qualifying intercompany transactions. They answer, “What did the reporting group generate after combining the included entities?”
For Nimbus Projects, the contrast is substantial. Consolidated operating revenue of ₹22,875.62 lakh is far above standalone operating revenue of ₹146.73 lakh. That difference reflects the reporting scope and entities included; it is not, by itself, evidence that either statement contains an error. A reader must use the consolidated column to assess group-scale activity and the standalone column to assess the parent company alone.
| Comparison | Standalone FY2025-26 | Consolidated FY2025-26 | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operating revenue | ₹146.73 lakh | ₹22,875.62 lakh | Parent-only activity versus the reporting group’s activity |
| Total revenue | ₹4,214.33 lakh | ₹24,164.06 lakh | Different scope plus different non-operating or other-revenue lines |
| Net profit after tax | Not stated in the cited material | ₹6,367.50 lakh | Group accounting profit after reported expenses and tax |
Do not compare a standalone operating-revenue number with a consolidated profit and call the result a margin. The numerator and denominator must use the same scope, period and definitions.

Revenue from operations
Revenue from operations is the operating-revenue line in the audited results. It is the closest of these figures to income generated by the business’s ordinary operating activities. Nimbus Projects reported ₹146.73 lakh standalone and ₹22,875.62 lakh consolidated for FY2025-26.

Total revenue
Total revenue is a broader presentation line. Nimbus’ FY2025-26 tables separate revenue from operations from other revenues and other income. Depending on the line-item presentation, total revenue can also reflect specified share-of-profit items. Therefore, calling total revenue “sales” without checking the table can misstate what the company actually sold or delivered.
The arithmetic illustrates why the distinction matters:
| Scope | Total revenue | Revenue from operations | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standalone | ₹4,214.33 lakh | ₹146.73 lakh | ₹4,067.60 lakh |
| Consolidated | ₹24,164.06 lakh | ₹22,875.62 lakh | ₹1,288.44 lakh |
The differences are not automatically “extra sales.” They represent the gap between the operating line and the broader total-revenue presentation. To understand the gap, inspect the audited table for other revenues, other income and any share-of-profit line, then determine whether those items are recurring, investment-related, accounting-related or one-time.
How to use the two revenue lines
- Use revenue from operations when evaluating the scale of ordinary business activity.
- Use total revenue when analysing the full income presentation, but identify every non-operating component first.
- Compare like with like across years: operating revenue to operating revenue, and total revenue to total revenue.
- Keep scope constant. A consolidated total cannot be used to assess a standalone business trend.
What Nimbus Projects’ profit figure means
Profit is an accounting outcome. It records income recognised under the applicable accounting rules minus reported expenses, finance costs, depreciation, taxes and other charges for the period. It is not the same as cash collected during that period.

The FY2025-26 directors’ report gives consolidated net profit after tax of ₹6,367.50 lakh, approximately ₹63.68 crore. “After tax” means the figure is after the tax expense recognised in the consolidated income statement. It does not mean every cash tax payment occurred on the same dates as the revenue and expense recognition used to calculate profit.
Why profit can move independently of cash
- Credit sales: Revenue can be recognised before customers pay, increasing profit while receivables absorb cash.
- Working capital: Inventory purchases or a reduction in supplier credit can use cash even when the income statement remains profitable.
- Non-cash charges: Depreciation and similar charges reduce accounting profit without an immediate cash outflow.
- Accruals and provisions: An expense may reduce profit before the related payment, or a reversal may lift profit without a new cash receipt.
- Investing and financing: Asset purchases, debt repayments, borrowings and dividends affect cash but generally do not appear as operating profit in the same way.
Because of these timing and classification effects, a higher profit does not prove that liquidity improved. The cash-flow statement is needed to test that conclusion.
How Nimbus Projects’ cash-flow statement works
The referenced Nimbus Projects standalone cash-flow statement says it is prepared under the indirect method in accordance with Ind AS 7, Statement of Cash Flows. Under this method, the statement starts with an accounting result and reconciles it to cash generated or used, rather than listing every cash receipt and payment as a simple cashbook.

Operating cash flow reflects cash associated with the company’s ordinary activities. The indirect reconciliation adjusts the accounting result for non-cash items and for changes in operating assets and liabilities. A build-up in receivables or inventory generally uses cash; an increase in eligible payables generally provides cash, although the exact presentation must be read in the statement.

Investing activities
Investing cash flow records cash effects of acquiring or disposing of long-term assets and investments. A large negative investing number may indicate capital expenditure or investment purchases rather than a deterioration in operating profitability. Proceeds from disposals can make investing cash flow positive in a period when the company is selling assets.
Financing activities
Financing cash flow captures changes in borrowings, capital and distributions, subject to the classification used in the filing. New debt can increase cash without improving profit; repayment can reduce cash without reducing the period’s operating result. Dividends and similar distributions also reduce cash available to the business.
The cash reconciliation
The statement brings together operating, investing and financing movements, along with permitted foreign-exchange effects where applicable, to reconcile the net change in cash and cash equivalents with beginning and ending balances. Always check that the opening balance, net change and closing balance mathematically reconcile before interpreting the trend.

Can profit rise while cash flow falls?
Yes. The most common pattern is profitable sales made on credit: profit rises when revenue is recognised, but operating cash falls while customers have not paid. Other common patterns include purchasing inventory ahead of demand, paying down trade creditors, making a large capital investment, repaying borrowings or paying a dividend.

The reverse can also occur. Cash may rise after borrowing, issuing shares or selling an asset even though those transactions do not represent operating profit. A cash increase therefore needs to be split into operating, investing and financing sources before it is treated as evidence of stronger business performance.

| Operating cash up, profit flat | Collections of earlier sales, increased payables or other timing effects |

A step-by-step method for reading the FY2025-26 filing
- Identify the period. Confirm that the column is FY2025-26, a full financial year, rather than a quarter or year-to-date period.
- Identify the scope. Mark every number as standalone or consolidated before comparing it with another number.
- Normalize the unit. Nimbus’ figures are presented in ₹ lakh. If you convert to crore, divide by 100 and retain the original lakh amount in your notes.
- Start with operating revenue. Read the revenue-from-operations line to measure ordinary operating activity.
- Bridge to total revenue. Review other revenues, other income and any specified share-of-profit lines before describing total revenue as sales.
- Read profit after tax in the same scope. The cited consolidated net profit after tax is ₹6,367.50 lakh. Do not pair it with standalone revenue for a margin or growth claim.
- Follow the cash-flow sections. Read operating, investing and financing activities separately, then verify the opening-to-closing cash reconciliation.
- Investigate unusual differences. Large changes may result from consolidation, one-off income, working-capital timing, asset transactions or financing rather than a change in underlying operations.
How to handle the conflicting approximately ₹-88 crore figure
The approximately ₹-88 crore consolidated figure shown on a separate financial-data page cannot be treated as an alternative audited result without reconciliation. It conflicts with the ₹6,367.50 lakh consolidated net profit after tax in Nimbus Projects’ 2026 directors’ report.
Before using the secondary number, check:
- whether “March 2026” refers to a quarter, trailing period or full financial year;
- whether the page uses lakh, crore or another unit and whether a negative sign was imported correctly;
- whether it reports standalone, consolidated or a selectively adjusted scope;
- whether the figure is profit after tax, profit attributable to owners, a continuing-operations measure or another metric;
- whether the page incorporated a restatement or correction that the audited report presents differently.
Do not average the two figures or choose the one that fits a narrative. Until the definitions are matched, lead with the audited directors’ report and describe the secondary figure as unresolved.
Common interpretation mistakes
- Mixing scopes: A consolidated number includes the group; a standalone number does not. Label every spreadsheet column.
- Mixing periods: A quarterly result cannot be compared directly with a full-year result without an appropriate bridge.
- Calling total revenue sales: Check other income and share-of-profit lines first.
- Mixing lakh and crore: A 100-fold unit error can make a correct filing appear implausible.
- Treating profit as cash: Read the operating cash-flow reconciliation and working-capital movements.
- Relying on an unverified data-service number: Reconcile scope, period, units and accounting definition to the audited filing.
- Comparing unmatched margins: Use revenue and profit from the same scope and line definitions.
What each measure can and cannot tell you
| Measure | Useful question | What it cannot establish alone |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations | How much operating revenue was reported? | Whether customers paid, margins are healthy or cash increased |
| Total revenue | What income total did the filing present after adding its other lines? | How much came from ordinary sales without inspecting composition |
| Net profit after tax | What accounting result remained after reported expenses and tax? | Cash available, recurring earnings quality or liquidity |
| Operating cash flow | Did ordinary activities generate or consume cash after reconciliation adjustments? | Whether the company can fund long-term investment without financing |
| Investing and financing cash flow | How did assets, investments, borrowings and distributions change cash? | Underlying operating profitability |
The practical conclusion is straightforward: Nimbus Projects’ FY2025-26 figures are not competing versions of one number. They are different measurements viewed through different scopes and accounting definitions. Read the audited statement’s label, period and unit first, then connect revenue, profit and cash flow rather than substituting one for another.
