The safest way to reach support is to open QuickBooks Desktop and select Help → QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us. After searching the suggested articles, choose Contact Us to request a callback or start a chat, if those options are offered.
Be cautious with phone numbers found in search results, advertisements, forums, or unsolicited emails. Intuit lists separate numbers for Enterprise sales, fraud reporting, and other purposes; those numbers are not general QuickBooks Desktop technical support.

Intuit lists the following U.S. support hours in Pacific Time. Hours and contact options can change, so confirm the schedule shown in the contact screen before relying on it.

Is QuickBooks Desktop support free?
Not for every customer or every issue. Eligibility depends on the product, subscription, care plan, and problem.
According to Intuit’s support policy, active QuickBooks Pro Plus and Premier Plus subscribers receive unlimited help, while QuickBooks Plus and Enterprise include a care plan. Pro, Premier, and QuickBooks for Mac customers with active support plans may also receive unlimited help. Active Enterprise subscribers receive unlimited help under the applicable plan.
Some installation, reinstallation, error-message, and 6XXX-code issues may qualify for free help for supported products. Other matters may require a support plan or paid assistance. Intuit’s policy lists a $59.95 one-time support option for a single issue, with the same issue covered for up to 10 days after the call. Confirm the current price, availability, and terms before purchasing.

Intuit support is not a replacement for every type of professional help. Bookkeeping judgments, tax treatment, reconciliations, chart-of-accounts design, and cleanup may be better handled by an accountant or QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Windows, network, permissions, server, hosting, and third-party hardware problems may require an independent IT professional.

What if you use QuickBooks Desktop 2023?
QuickBooks Desktop 2023 products—including Pro Plus 2023, Premier Plus 2023, Mac Plus 2023, and Enterprise Solutions 23.0—were discontinued after May 31, 2026, according to Intuit’s service-discontinuation policy.
Users who did not upgrade by that date may lose access to live technical support and connected services such as payroll, payments, online backup, and online banking. Critical security updates also stop after the discontinuation date. The software may still open locally, but finding a phone number cannot restore support eligibility or discontinued services.

Confirm the exact product name, edition, and year before contacting anyone. Intuit’s service-discontinuation policy explains the relevant cutoff.
Is QuickBooks Desktop still sold in the U.S.?
Intuit continues to sell QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise subscriptions. However, as of October 1, 2024, Intuit stopped selling new U.S. subscriptions for QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Enhanced Payroll. Existing subscribers may continue renewing under the applicable conditions.
That distinction matters if you are looking for a product-selection or migration contact rather than troubleshooting. Enterprise sales numbers should not be mistaken for general technical support.

- The number appears only in a low-quality directory, forum comment, sponsored result, unsolicited email, or unexpected phone call.
- The caller demands immediate payment, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking credentials, or unrelated financial information.
- The representative claims your company file is corrupt and demands an urgent repair fee.
- You are asked to install remote-access software before the support session is established through a verified Intuit workflow.
Navigate manually to Intuit’s support site or begin from inside QuickBooks Desktop instead of trusting a number supplied by an advertisement or caller. Never disclose your Intuit password to a support agent. If remote access is genuinely needed, verify the session through the official support workflow and keep a record of the case number, agent name, and any payment receipt.

What to prepare before contacting support
Having the following information ready can make a support request more efficient:
- Product and edition, such as Pro, Premier, Plus, Mac, Enterprise, or Payroll.
- Version year, such as 2024 or 2025.
- The exact error message or error code.
- Your operating-system version.
- Whether the issue affects one workstation or multiple users.
- Your subscription or care-plan status.
- The Intuit account email and billing information requested through the verified support flow—but never your password.
- A recent backup of the company file before repair, migration, or other risky changes.
