February 2026 deals snapshot: these offers have expired or changed. In the U.S., Samsung’s Galaxy S26 preorder window opened February 25, 2026, and general availability began March 11. Samsung.com was the clearest choice for an unlocked phone, while carriers advertised larger discounts—up to $1,100 or more in qualifying configurations—through trade-ins, eligible plans, new lines, and long-term bill credits.
The cheapest offer depended on your existing carrier, trade-in phone, required plan, and willingness to stay for 24 or 36 months. A headline discount was not automatically the lowest total cost.

Quick verdict: which February deal was best?
| Buyer | Best route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wants an unlocked phone | Samsung.com | Up to $900 in eligible instant trade-in credit, or a $150 credit without trade-in. |
| Wants the largest advertised discount | T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T | Qualifying configurations advertised up to $1,100 off, with Verizon citing up to $1,300 in one configuration. |
| Wants a free S26+ | Verizon | Some new-line promotions offered the phone through promotional credits, subject to plan and eligibility rules. |
| Wants an S26 Ultra “on us” | T-Mobile | Some switcher and qualifying-service offers could cover the device through monthly credits. |
| Wants store pickup or retailer activation | Best Buy | Verizon and AT&T activation offers could reach $1,100, with possible retailer incentives. |
For a buyer who already had an eligible premium carrier plan and planned to stay through the full credit period, a carrier could be cheapest. For everyone else—especially travelers, frequent switchers, and people comparing plans—the Samsung.com unlocked offer was easier to value and carried less lock-in.

What Samsung launched in February 2026
Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 series in the U.S. on February 25, 2026, when preorders opened through Samsung.com, Amazon, Best Buy, Samsung Experience Stores, and major carriers. General availability began March 11. The launch lineup included the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung’s launch announcement listed these starting prices:

- MAKE IT. EDIT IT. SHARE IT: Turn everyday moments into something personal with creative tools built right into your mobile whether it’s a special contact photo, custom wallpaper, an invitation or more³

- IMMENSELY IMMERSIVE: No matter where you are or what you’re watching, your favorite videos and more come to life with the vibrant display on Galaxy S26
- FIT EVERYONE IN THE SHOT: Group selfies are easier on your Samsung phone with a wider front camera⁴ that captures more of the scene, so no one gets left out of the moment
- Galaxy S26: from $899.99
- Galaxy S26+: from $1,099.99
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: from $1,299.99
The S26 and S26+ were listed with 256GB and 512GB options. The Ultra was available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations. A “free” base-storage phone did not necessarily mean the same storage upgrade was free, so the storage tier had to be checked in the offer terms.
Samsung.com: best unlocked February preorder deal
Samsung’s launch promotion offered up to $900 in eligible instant trade-in credit toward a Galaxy S26-series phone. Buyers without a trade-in could receive a $150 credit toward other eligible devices, according to Samsung’s launch terms.
This was the strongest route for buyers who wanted to own an unlocked phone immediately, travel internationally, change carriers freely, or avoid a 36-month bill-credit commitment. The trade-in value depended on the exact old phone, its condition, and the promotional tier—not simply on whether the device was a Samsung Galaxy.
Samsung’s trade-in requirements generally included a phone that powers on, holds a charge, has a functioning display, is not blacklisted, and is free of disqualifying damage. The phone must be reset with locks disabled, and it must be owned by the customer; a leased device is not eligible. Photograph the device before shipping and retain the tracking and acceptance records.
Samsung.com cost examples
- Maximum trade-in example: an $899.99 Galaxy S26 minus a hypothetical $900 eligible instant credit produces a $0 device price before tax. The exact credit and tax still depend on the submitted phone and location.
- No-trade-in example: an $899.99 Galaxy S26 minus the $150 device credit produces $749.99 before tax.
- Ultra storage warning: a $1,299.99 starting-price Ultra may still require an additional payment for 512GB or 1TB if the promotion does not cover the storage upgrade.
T-Mobile: potentially the biggest discount, with service conditions
T-Mobile advertised up to $1,100 off any Galaxy S26 with qualifying service and trade-in. Its launch announcement also described an S26 Ultra “on us” offer for some new customers switching to T-Mobile and adding a line. T-Mobile’s offer page and launch announcement identified conditions involving qualifying credit, service, AutoPay, taxes and fees, and trade-in eligibility.

The discount was generally delivered as monthly promotional bill credits. That means “up to $1,100 off” did not usually reduce the checkout price by $1,100. The maximum amount could also depend on the plan, whether the customer was upgrading or adding a line, and the model and condition of the trade-in.
T-Mobile was most compelling for an existing customer already paying for the qualifying plan or for a switcher who needed the line anyway. Adding a line or moving to a more expensive plan solely to obtain the phone could erase the device savings.
Verizon: strong new-line and long-term credit offers
Verizon published a February launch configuration offering $1,100 in promotional credits over 36 months, while another configuration cited up to $1,300. Some offers included a free S26+ with a new line and qualifying plan. See the Verizon launch details for the historical offer language.
Verizon could be the best option for an existing customer already on an eligible MyPlan tier, or for a new-line customer who could use the service for the entire 36-month period. It was less attractive for anyone likely to switch carriers, pay off the phone early, or cancel the line. Remaining promotional credits can stop when eligibility ends, leaving the unpaid installment balance due.
AT&T: up to $1,100 off the S26 Ultra
AT&T advertised up to $1,100 off the Galaxy S26 Ultra with an eligible trade-in and qualifying plan. The offer terms stated that taxes were due on the phone’s full retail price at sale. The promotion also required a specific unlimited plan and eligible trade-in model.

AT&T’s “any condition” language, where applicable, should not be read as “every damaged phone qualifies.” The model still had to appear on the promotional list and meet the stated requirements. The exact credit tier could also vary by model and promotion.

Review the AT&T deal terms before treating the offer as a bargain. If changing plans costs more each month, compare that increase for the whole credit period—not just the phone’s advertised discount.
Best Buy: useful for pickup and carrier activation
Best Buy’s February listings offered Samsung phone promotions tied to Verizon or AT&T activation, with qualifying trade-in offers reaching up to $1,100 in some configurations. Retailer gift cards, pickup convenience, or an instant trade-in could make this route attractive, but the terms could differ from Samsung’s or the carrier’s direct offer.
A Best Buy gift card is valuable at face value only if you would use it. It is not the same as cash, and it may have restrictions or an expiration date. Also check whether the offer applies to the exact model and storage tier in your cart, whether activation is mandatory, and when the promotion ends. Start with the Best Buy Samsung listings, but do not assume an old search result proves that a February promotion is still active.
Xfinity Mobile and other alternatives
Xfinity Mobile’s launch announcement described some Galaxy S26 and S26+ configurations as “on us” and advertised up to $1,100 off the S26 Ultra with an eligible trade-in. This was primarily relevant to eligible Xfinity Internet customers or shoppers willing to bundle mobile service. Read the Xfinity Mobile launch announcement for the historical offer context.

Amazon and other retailers were also part of the preorder distribution. Reported gift-card or storage incentives should be treated as model-specific and date-specific unless the contemporaneous Amazon promotion page is available. A gift card can improve the value of a deal, but it should not be counted as an immediate cash discount.
How to calculate the real cost
Use this comparison instead of ranking offers by the largest headline number:
Phone MSRP
− instant discount or usable trade-in credit
− gift card or device credit you will actually use
+ sales tax
+ activation or connection fee
+ required plan cost during the commitment period
− plan cost you would have paid anyway
= comparable effective cost
For carrier deals, subtract only the plan’s incremental cost—the amount above what you would otherwise pay. Do not compare a carrier’s full three-year service bill with Samsung’s phone-only price unless you are deciding whether to buy service at all.
Three illustrative February-term comparisons
- Existing eligible carrier customer: Suppose an S26 Ultra costs $1,299.99 and receives $1,100 in credits over 36 months. The remaining device cost is $199.99 before tax. If the customer would keep the same qualifying plan anyway, that may be an excellent device deal. If eligibility requires an extra $30 per month, the additional plan cost is $1,080 over 36 months, making the comparable incremental cost $1,279.99 before tax and fees.
- New customer seeking a free phone: A “$0” S26+ through a new-line promotion can mean the installment payment is offset by monthly credits. The customer still pays taxes, may pay activation fees, and must maintain the qualifying line for the full credit period. Leaving early can make the remaining device balance payable.
- Unlocked buyer without a trade-in: An S26 priced at $899.99 with Samsung’s $150 credit is $749.99 before tax. There is no new carrier-plan cost to add, making the comparison straightforward even if the headline discount is smaller.
What happened to the “up to $1,100 off TVs” claim?
The available authoritative research verifies phone discounts of up to $1,100, but it does not verify a February 2026 Samsung TV promotion offering up to $1,100 off TVs. No primary TV promotion page, model list, dates, or terms were available to substantiate that wording.
It may have referred to a separate Samsung TV promotion or may have been an error in the original headline. It should not be repeated as a confirmed deal without the original promotion page. This article therefore treats the TV claim as unresolved rather than presenting it as fact.

Related Galaxy accessories and protection
Galaxy Buds and Samsung Care+ were natural preorder add-ons, but the available research did not verify enough contemporaneous pricing to call them February bargains. A secondary report mentioned a possible $30 Amazon gift card with Galaxy Buds4 Pro preorder, but that incentive requires confirmation from the original retailer page before publication.
Samsung Care+ may be worth comparing for an expensive Ultra, frequent travelers, or buyers concerned about accidental damage. Exact pricing and coverage should be checked for the specific device and date; buyers who self-insure may prefer to skip it.
Trade-in and carrier-offer checklist
- Confirm the exact S26 model and storage tier.
- Look up the exact trade-in phone, condition category, and promotional value.
- Determine whether the discount is instant, a gift card, or monthly bill credits.
- Check whether you need a new line, port-in, upgrade, premium plan, AutoPay, or credit approval.
- Calculate taxes on the full MSRP where required.
- Add activation, connection, and plan costs for the complete credit period.
- Read what happens if you cancel, switch carriers, or pay off the device early.
- Back up, factory-reset, unlock, and photograph the trade-in before shipping.
- Keep shipping, tracking, and acceptance records.
- Check the offer end date, inventory, color restrictions, and storage exclusions.
- Verify that retailer gift cards, Samsung credits, accessories, and other promotions can actually stack.
Bottom line
For February 2026’s U.S. Galaxy S26 preorder window, Samsung.com was the best uncomplicated unlocked deal: up to $900 in instant trade-in credit or $150 without a trade-in. T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T could produce a lower device-only price—including “free” phone configurations—but only when the required plan, trade-in, new-line status, and credit period fit the buyer’s situation. Best Buy added convenience and possible retailer incentives, while Xfinity Mobile was relevant mainly to customers willing to bundle service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Were the February 2026 Galaxy S26 deals still available?
No guarantee should be assumed. February 2026 was a past preorder window, and carrier, retailer, trade-in, and storage promotions may have expired or changed.
Does “up to $1,100 off” mean the phone was free?
Usually not immediately. Carrier discounts were generally monthly promotional credits requiring an eligible plan, trade-in, and sometimes a new line or port-in. Taxes and fees could still apply, and leaving early could end the credits.
Which Galaxy S26 deal was best without a trade-in?
Samsung.com’s launch terms offered a $150 credit without trade-in. Compare the resulting phone price with any retailer gift-card offer, but do not treat a gift card as cash unless you would use it.
