Stream+ Basic increased from $20 to $23 per month, while Stream+ Premium rose from $38 to $43. As of August 18, 2026, TELUS’s public pages still list those rates, plus tax; there is no verified evidence of a separate 2026 increase.
The right choice depends on your net price after credits and promotions, whether you use all three included services, and whether the Basic plan’s advertising-supported tiers meet your needs.

The price increase at a glance
These are TELUS’s publicly listed regular monthly prices. Taxes are extra, and your actual charge may differ because of promotions, credits, legacy pricing, eligibility, or another TELUS bundle.

The annual figures exclude tax. For a customer paying the regular rate all year, the increase is $36 before tax on Basic or $60 before tax on Premium.

MobileSyrup reported the February 2025 price change, citing TELUS as saying that pricing changes from content partners contributed to the adjustment. That is TELUS’s explanation; the company did not publicly identify how much of the increase came from Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, or any individual partner.
When did the higher price take effect?
- February 27, 2025: The new regular prices were reported for new Stream+ subscriptions.
- April 9, 2025: Customer-facing reports indicated that existing subscribers would begin moving to the higher price on billing dates from this point onward.
- August 18, 2026: TELUS’s public Canadian pages continued to list Stream+ Basic at $23 and Premium at $43 per month, plus tax.
April 9 was not a universal bill date for every customer. Existing subscribers could see the change on a subsequent billing date, depending on their account, billing cycle, promotional terms, EPP or mobility benefits, and other credits. Check your TELUS notice and invoice rather than assuming that every account changed on the same day.
What Stream+ includes
Stream+ Basic — $23 per month plus tax
- Netflix Standard with ads
- Disney+ Standard with ads
- Amazon Prime membership
- TELUS Films & Series through the TELUS TV+ app
- More than 50 free streaming channels listed by TELUS
The important limitation is that both Netflix and Disney+ are the ad-supported tiers. Basic is not the same as subscribing to ad-free versions directly.

Stream+ Premium — $43 per month plus tax

Premium costs $20 more per month than Basic, or $240 more per year before tax. Its main value is the upgrade to Netflix Premium and Disney+ Premium; TELUS’s comparison does not indicate a different Amazon Prime membership for Premium.
TELUS also shows benefits such as Prime delivery, DashPass, CBC Gem Premium, and TELUS Films & Series on some pages or offers. Those extras are not presented identically across every TELUS promotion, so verify the inclusions attached to your specific account before assigning them monetary value.
Is Stream+ still cheaper than subscribing separately?
Using the prices displayed by TELUS, the bundle remains cheaper than buying the matching services separately:

TELUS describes the difference as approximately 15% savings. The comparison is useful only when you want all three services, want the same tiers, and value Amazon Prime as a full membership rather than treating it as Prime Video alone. Standalone prices can also change.

Keep Stream+ Basic if:
- Your household consistently uses Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime.
- You accept advertising on Netflix and Disney+.
- You value Prime delivery and other Amazon Prime benefits.
- One TELUS bill is more convenient than managing separate subscriptions.
- A TELUS credit offsets some or all of the increase.
Consider Premium if:
- You regularly use both Netflix Premium and Disney+ Premium.
- You need the higher tiers’ features and are willing to pay $20 more per month than Basic.
If you would otherwise buy all three Premium-equivalent services, the bundle’s advertised saving is $7.97 per month. If you mainly want ad-free viewing on only one service, upgrading the entire bundle may not be the cheapest solution.
Subscribe separately or rotate services if:
- You use only one or two of the included services.
- You watch a service only during particular shows or seasons.
- You want independent control over billing and cancellation.
- You have a cheaper employer, credit-card, wireless, or direct-service promotion.
- You do not value Prime membership benefits beyond video streaming.
Rotating subscriptions—watching priority content on one service, cancelling it, and moving to another—usually requires more management but can cost less for light viewers.

What existing TELUS customers should check
- Sign in to My TELUS.
- Open your billing or services area and look for Stream+, Stream+ Basic, or Stream+ Premium. Labels can vary by account and platform.
- Compare the recurring Stream+ charge with an earlier invoice.
- Check for promotional, mobility, home-services, EPP, or pre-authorized-payment credits.
- Confirm whether a separate TELUS bundle credit offsets the higher line item.
- Check your Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon accounts for separate charges.
- Review the next billing date and cancellation or promotional terms before changing plans.
A higher Stream+ line item does not automatically mean your total bill rose by $3 or $5. A separate credit may reduce or eliminate the net increase. Conversely, a customer who activates the bundle while retaining direct subscriptions can pay twice.

TELUS says existing subscriptions may be transferred through its activation process. Its Stream+ terms also warn that an existing provider account may need to be cancelled or redeemed through TELUS to avoid duplicate billing.

Do not cancel a direct Netflix, Disney+, or Prime subscription blindly before activation is complete. First determine whether the account can be linked, whether the subscription must be cancelled, and whether profiles, watch history, billing status, or plan tier will carry over. Cancelling too early can interrupt access; leaving the old subscription active can create duplicate charges.

Usage and availability limits
Stream+ is a Canadian offering, and eligibility can vary by product, region, and account. TELUS says:
- The TELUS TV+ mobile app is available only in Canada.
- The app cannot be accessed through a VPN.
- Mobile streaming may count toward your data usage.
- A My TELUS username and password are required for TELUS content access.
These restrictions particularly concern TELUS Films & Series and the TELUS TV+ app. They should not automatically be applied to the independently operated Netflix, Disney+, or Prime Video apps.
Bottom line
TELUS Stream+ is more compelling after the increase for households that genuinely use Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime and prefer consolidated billing. Basic still offers a bundle discount, but its Netflix and Disney+ tiers include ads. Premium can make sense for customers who want both higher tiers, but it costs an additional $240 per year over Basic.
