Profit increased by ₹300.65 crore compared with the ₹74.20 crore reported for Q2 FY26. The reported 405.19% growth means the increase was about 4.05 times the prior-year profit; the new profit was about 5.05 times the prior-year amount. That is why “roughly five times” describes the ratio of the two profit figures, while “up 405%” describes the increase.

What the available figures do—and do not—show
Poonawalla Fincorp described itself in its Q2 FY26 press release as a non-deposit-taking systemically important non-banking financial company focused on consumer and MSME finance. Its Q2 FY26 release gives PAT as ₹74 crore, a rounded figure consistent with the ₹74.20 crore comparison in the Q2 FY27 summary.
The reported Q2 FY27 figures establish a sharp year-on-year rise in consolidated PAT and provide selected income measures. They do not, on their own, explain what drove the increase. The available Q2 FY27 reporting does not establish the contributions of lending margins, operating costs, provisions, credit costs or asset quality, nor does it provide a supported sequential comparison or standalone comparison. Those questions require the corresponding period’s detailed results and notes.
For perspective only, the company’s Q3 FY26 release reported assets under management (AUM) of ₹55,017 crore, NII of ₹1,080 crore, PAT of ₹150 crore, gross non-performing assets (GNPA) of 1.51% and net non-performing assets (NNPA) of 0.80%. These are Q3 FY26 figures, not Q2 FY27 results, and should not be used to infer Q2 FY27 asset quality or sequential performance. See the company’s Q3 FY26 release.
