Verdict: I cannot verify enough reliable information about a forex broker called OnlyTrades to classify it as a safe, legitimate broker. That does not prove it is a scam, but it does mean prospective customers should treat it as unverified and high risk until its legal entity, regulator, licence number, trading conditions and withdrawal record can be independently confirmed.
Do not rely on a broker’s website, social-media profile or claimed licence alone. Before depositing money, check the firm directly in the database of the regulator it names. If the firm cannot be matched to an authorised legal entity—or if it pressures you to deposit quickly—walk away.
Is OnlyTrades a scam or a legitimate broker?
There is not enough independently verifiable information available here to give OnlyTrades a clean bill of health. A real company name, a polished website and access to MetaTrader do not establish that a broker is authorised to hold or handle retail customer money.
The important distinction is:
- “Scam” is a serious conclusion requiring evidence such as a regulator warning, proven fraud, court finding or a well-documented pattern of misconduct.
- “Unverified” means the broker has not provided enough checkable evidence to justify trusting it with a deposit.
OnlyTrades should currently be treated in the second category. That is a sufficient reason not to deposit while verification is incomplete.

What must be verified before using OnlyTrades
A broker review should begin with the legal entity, not the brand name. Ask OnlyTrades for the following information in writing:
- The full registered company name.
- The company registration number and jurisdiction.
- The exact financial regulator responsible for its forex or CFD authorisation.
- The licence or reference number.
- The legal address shown on the regulator’s register.
- The name of the entity that will receive your money and appear on your account agreement.
Then check the regulator independently. Type the regulator’s web address into your browser rather than following a link supplied by a salesperson. Search the register for the legal entity and compare the website domain, email addresses and permitted activities.
A company-registration record is not the same as a financial-services licence. A business can be incorporated without being authorised to offer leveraged forex trading or custody customer funds.

- BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
- THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
- NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
- RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
- BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.
Regulatory checks by country
| Where you live | Register or regulator to check | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| United States | NFA BASIC and the CFTC | That the firm is authorised for retail forex and is not merely using a foreign affiliate’s name |
| United Kingdom | FCA Financial Services Register | That the legal entity and website domain match the authorised firm |
| European Union | Your national regulator or the relevant EEA register | Authorisation, passporting status where applicable, leverage restrictions and client-money rules |
| Australia | ASIC Professional Registers | That the firm holds the relevant Australian financial-services authorisation |
| Canada | CIRO and the applicable provincial regulator | Registration and whether the firm may solicit residents of your province |
If OnlyTrades claims regulation in an offshore jurisdiction, do not assume that protection is equivalent to FCA, ASIC, CFTC/NFA or comparable domestic supervision. Check the regulator’s enforcement notices, compensation arrangements, leverage rules and client-money requirements.
Warning signs that should stop a deposit
The following behaviours are more important than a broker’s advertised spread:
- A representative promises guaranteed profits or says losses are impossible.
- You are told to deposit immediately to unlock a bonus, VIP account or special trading signal.
- The broker accepts money into a personal bank account, cryptocurrency wallet or unrelated company.
- The payment recipient does not match the legal entity in the client agreement.
- Withdrawals require a new deposit, “tax”, “insurance”, “security fee” or percentage of profits in advance.
- Customer support communicates only through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media.
- The firm refuses to provide a complete fee schedule or withdrawal policy before account opening.
- The website has changing domains, copied regulatory language, unexplained company names or mismatched addresses.
- A salesperson discourages you from testing a small withdrawal.
An advance payment cannot normally fix a legitimate margin shortfall. If a broker says you must send more money before it will release your existing balance, stop paying and preserve all records.

How to test OnlyTrades without risking a large sum
If the firm passes the regulatory checks, testing should still be cautious. A trading platform login is not proof that withdrawals work.
- Read the agreement first. Look for the contracting entity, governing law, dispute process, margin rules, inactivity charges and withdrawal conditions.
- Confirm the payment route. Deposit only to an account held in the name of the authorised entity. Avoid crypto transfers if there is no practical chargeback or recovery route.
- Use a small amount. Never start with money needed for rent, bills, taxes or emergency savings.
- Place minimal or no trades initially. First establish whether support responds and whether account information is consistent.
- Request a withdrawal early. Test the process before committing more capital. Do not add funds to satisfy an unexpected release condition.
- Save evidence. Keep screenshots of the website, account balance, terms, payment confirmations, trade history, emails and chat messages.
Even a successful small withdrawal does not prove that a broker is safe. It only removes one specific concern.

A broker can be authorised and still be unsuitable for a particular trader. Leveraged forex and CFD trading can produce rapid losses through leverage, spread costs, commissions, overnight financing, slippage and forced liquidation.
Before opening an account, calculate the real cost of a trade. A position with a notional value of $10,000 can move substantially on a small currency-price change, even when the deposit required to open it is much smaller. Ask for the maximum leverage, margin-closeout level, negative-balance policy and typical—not merely minimum—spreads.
Do not confuse a “demo” balance, profitable screenshots or copied trades with evidence of sustainable returns. Marketing claims should not determine how much money you risk.
What to do if you already paid OnlyTrades
- Stop sending additional money, including alleged tax or withdrawal fees.
- Contact your bank or card issuer immediately and ask whether a card dispute, transfer recall or fraud report is available.
- Report the firm to your national financial regulator and local law-enforcement or consumer-protection agency.
- Change passwords if you shared login details or installed remote-access software. Enable two-factor authentication.
- Do not pay a recovery company that promises to retrieve the funds for an upfront fee. Recovery scams commonly target people who have already lost money.
- Compile a timeline with dates, names, phone numbers, wallet addresses, bank details, transaction IDs and all withdrawal demands.

Can I trust a forex broker because it offers MetaTrader?
No. MetaTrader is third-party trading software used by many firms. Access to MT4 or MT5 does not prove that the broker is authorised or financially sound.
Why is a withdrawal fee suspicious?
Ordinary brokers may deduct disclosed wire, card or processing fees from a withdrawal. A demand to send new money, pay an advance tax or fund a separate wallet before release is materially different and is a serious warning sign.
What is the safest way to check a broker?
Verify the contracting company and licence directly with the relevant financial regulator, compare the registered website and address, read the client agreement and test a small withdrawal before committing more money.
What if OnlyTrades is listed in a company registry?
Incorporation only shows that a business entity exists. It does not prove that the entity is authorised to provide leveraged forex or CFD services to retail customers.

The Bottom Line
Bottom line: OnlyTrades should not be called definitively a scam without stronger evidence, but it also has not earned a legitimate-and-safe classification from the information available. Treat it as unverified and high risk. Do not deposit until its legal entity and financial licence match an independent regulator’s register. Never pay an additional deposit, tax or security charge to unlock a withdrawal.
