OnePay CashRewards rewards accumulate as OnePay Points, and the OnePay app is where you check the balance, read offer terms, and redeem available points. For the published CashRewards card rates, Walmart purchases earn 5 points per dollar when a Walmart+ membership is linked, 3 points per dollar without the link, and a 1.5% rate at other merchants where Mastercard is accepted. Eligible purchase points are added after the transaction settles and may take up to 60 days to appear. You need at least 25 available points to redeem, and a statement-credit redemption can take one to two billing cycles to post.
The rates, eligible transactions, bonuses, redemption choices, and expiration rules can change. Treat the app’s current offer details and the applicable terms as the controlling information rather than assuming every purchase earns a reward.

What OnePay CashRewards points are
CashRewards card rewards are issued as OnePay Points rather than being displayed as an unrestricted cash balance. OnePay describes its published card rates as cash back earned in points, but the value and availability of a redemption depend on the redemption route, account eligibility, and the terms shown in the app. Do not assume that points can be withdrawn as cash from every account or that every transaction qualifies.

These rates and the description of points as cash back come from OnePay’s OnePay Rewards page and its Earning OnePay Rewards help article. Exclusions, promotional conditions, merchant coding, and account eligibility can affect an individual transaction.
How do I earn 5% back at Walmart with my OnePay CashRewards Card?
The 5-point-per-dollar Walmart rate requires both a CashRewards card and a Walmart+ membership linked to the relevant OnePay account. Without the link, OnePay publishes a lower 3-point-per-dollar Walmart rate. The membership link changes the published rate; it does not turn every Walmart transaction into a guaranteed reward, because eligible-purchase and offer terms still apply.
Link Walmart+ during or after application
OnePay says it attempts to link the Walmart+ account during the CashRewards application process. If that attempt fails, or if the Walmart profile uses a different email address, use the CashRewards card settings in the OnePay app to link the membership. The app is the authoritative place to verify whether the link is active before relying on the higher rate.

- Open the card settings and look for the Walmart+ linking option.
- Sign in with the Walmart+ account credentials requested by the app, paying attention to the email address on that membership.
- Return to the card settings and verify that the membership is shown as linked.
- Review the current Walmart earning terms before making a purchase, especially if the app presents a bonus or limited-time offer.
If the app still does not show a linked membership, do not assume the 5-point rate applies retroactively. Keep the transaction receipt and check the posted reward details once the purchase settles; the rate shown in the applicable terms determines what can be credited.

Where to see your OnePay Points
Use the OnePay app to inspect both your overall points balance and the details attached to a reward or offer. OnePay’s help materials describe two equivalent starting points: tap the points balance displayed in the app or open the Rewards area. Eligible Wallet cards and activated Wallet offers are also managed in the app, but those are different programs from CashRewards.
- Open OnePay and sign in to the account that holds the CashRewards card.
- Tap the points balance, or open Rewards from the app navigation.
- Review the available balance and any reward or offer details shown for the transaction type.
- For a Walmart+ enhanced rate, open the CashRewards card settings and confirm the membership link.
- Read the individual offer’s eligibility, activation, and timing language before counting a bonus as earned.
A balance shown in the app is the practical record to use when deciding whether you can redeem. A purchase that has not settled, or a bonus that is still within its stated qualification window, may not yet be included in the available amount.
When do I receive my OnePay Points?
Eligible purchase points are earned after the purchase settles, not necessarily at the moment you authorize the transaction. OnePay states: “It may take up to 60 days after the purchase settles for points to appear in your OnePay Points balance.” That is a possible posting window, not a promise that every transaction will post on day 60. OnePay also says bonus timing can follow the individual bonus terms. See the timing language in its earning-rewards help article.

- Confirm that the card transaction has settled rather than remaining authorized or pending.
- Check the app’s Rewards area for an offer-specific qualification or posting period.
- Count up to 60 days from settlement for an eligible purchase before treating the normal posting window as exhausted.
- For a sign-up or promotional bonus, use the separate deadline and activity requirements in that bonus’s terms.
- Compare the merchant, amount, date, and transaction status with the offer’s exclusions; a purchase outside the terms may not earn points.
Do not use the absence of an immediate points entry as proof that the reward failed. Conversely, do not treat every delayed or missing entry as eligible without checking the transaction and offer conditions.

How do I redeem my OnePay Points?
OnePay says at least 25 available points are required before a redemption can be submitted. The app may offer a deposit, an eligible statement credit, or an eligible digital gift card, depending on the account and the options currently available to you. Availability is account-specific, so the choices on your redemption screen control.
- Open the OnePay app and tap your points balance or open Rewards.
- Select Redeem.
- Choose the quantity of available points you want to use.
- Select an available redemption route, such as a deposit, eligible statement credit, or eligible digital gift card.
- Review the destination account, amount, and any route-specific terms.
- Confirm the redemption only after checking the details. OnePay says a completed redemption cannot be canceled.
OnePay’s redemption instructions are in Redeeming OnePay Rewards Points. If the Redeem control is unavailable, first check that the balance contains at least 25 available points rather than only pending or otherwise unavailable points.
Statement-credit timing
For a CashRewards or Walmart Spend statement credit, OnePay says the credit is applied within one to two billing cycles after redemption. That period is separate from the time needed for purchase points to post. A points balance can therefore be high enough to redeem while the resulting statement credit is still waiting for a later billing cycle.
CashRewards is not the same as OnePay’s other reward programs
OnePay presents several ways to earn points, but their rates, requirements, and expiration rules are not interchangeable. The following comparison keeps the CashRewards card separate from the debit or Builder Card category program and Wallet offers.

The category program’s 3% figure is not a CashRewards universal rate, and it should not be used to calculate a CashRewards purchase. Likewise, a Wallet offer’s activation requirement does not establish eligibility for a CashRewards card transaction. Expiration depends on the program that generated the points and on the accounts associated with the customer. OnePay says Debit Card and Builder Card points do not expire. It separately says Walmart Wallet points expire after 90 days unless the customer has a OnePay deposit account or credit card.
Those statements do not establish a single expiration rule for every CashRewards balance. Before allowing points to accumulate, open the current Rewards details and account terms in the app and identify the program label attached to the points. If you hold more than one OnePay product, do not assume that points from one product inherit the expiration treatment of another.

Troubleshooting common CashRewards reward problems
The app shows 3 points per dollar at Walmart instead of 5
- Open CashRewards card settings and verify that the Walmart+ membership is linked.
- Check whether the Walmart+ profile uses a different email from the one used during application; OnePay specifically identifies that as a reason the initial link may not work.
- Review the transaction only after it settles and consult the offer terms before concluding that the rate is wrong.
- Do not assume the higher rate applies to purchases made before the membership link was completed unless the applicable terms say so.
A purchase has settled but no points are visible
- Confirm the transaction is eligible and not excluded by the card or offer terms.
- Start the timing calculation from the settlement date, not the authorization date.
- Allow the full window OnePay describes: up to 60 days after settlement.
- Check any separate promotional deadline or bonus-posting language.
The Redeem option is unavailable
- Verify that at least 25 points are available for redemption.
- Check whether the balance includes points that have not posted yet.
- Review which redemption routes are currently offered for your account; OnePay does not promise that every route is available to every customer.
A statement credit has not appeared
OnePay says a CashRewards or Walmart Spend statement credit can take one to two billing cycles after redemption. Confirm the redemption status and the destination statement before treating the credit as overdue. A completed redemption cannot be canceled, so verify the route and amount before confirming future requests.

Check live offers before relying on a rate or bonus
Rewards terms are changeable. The OnePay CashRewards card page has displayed a limited-time offer for eligible new accounts with a bonus term running from September 2 through December 31, 2026. That dated promotion is not a universal benefit, does not establish that every applicant qualifies, and should not be assumed to continue beyond its stated period. Review the live details on the OnePay CashRewards Card page and in the app before applying or making a purchase.
Use the same terms-first approach for Walmart+ linking, category selections, Wallet activation, redemption choices, and expiration. A published rate is a description of the program, not a guarantee that every transaction will qualify. Merchant coding, exclusions, account status, geographic availability, and promotional eligibility can all matter.
A practical routine for tracking earnings
- Before shopping, open Rewards and read the current terms for the purchase or bonus you intend to use.
- If shopping at Walmart with CashRewards, verify the Walmart+ link if you expect the 5-point-per-dollar rate.
- Keep the transaction date and amount until the purchase settles.
- Check the app after settlement, but allow up to 60 days for eligible purchase points to appear.
- When the available balance reaches 25 points, compare the redemption routes and their terms.
- Confirm a redemption only after checking the destination and timing; statement credits may take one to two billing cycles and cannot be canceled once completed.
- If you also use a debit card, Builder Card, or Wallet, identify which program generated each balance so that category rules and expiration dates are not mixed together.
This workflow keeps the three decisions separate: whether a transaction qualifies, when the points post, and how and when the points can be redeemed. The OnePay app and the current terms attached to the specific offer provide the information needed for each decision.
