That is the documented way to stop new AI-managed activity mid-strategy. Then inspect the separate AI Account for open orders and positions. Do not assume that disabling permissions cancels orders already working in the market.
If you need an immediate, account-wide shutdown, disconnecting the AI Account link is more forceful: Binance says it cancels all open orders and closes Spot, Futures, Cross Margin and Isolated Margin positions. Because that can realize gains or losses, use it only after understanding the consequences. Ordinary Spot orders and orders belonging to trading bots follow different cancellation paths.

First identify what is trading
“Binance AI trading” can describe several different things. Binance’s current product FAQ calls its AI service Binance Ai Pro. Ai Pro can execute Spot, Futures and Margin strategies and manage open positions. It creates a dedicated virtual AI Account rather than attaching the service directly to your ordinary account; Binance says that account is isolated from the main account and cannot withdraw to external addresses. Read the product name and account labels shown in your app before choosing a cancellation method. Binance’s Ai Pro FAQ is the controlling reference for those settings.
You may instead be looking at a normal Spot order, a Spot DCA bot or another bot. The Spot cancellation instructions below apply to pending Spot orders, not automatically to Futures, Margin or Ai Pro activity. A bot-linked order can have consequences beyond that single order, so identify whether a bot is running before tapping Cancel.

How to stop Binance Ai Pro from trading mid-strategy
Binance’s answer to this exact question is: “Yes. You can toggle trading permissions off at any time from the settings.” Turn off every permission that could create the activity you want to stop, then check which permissions remain enabled.
- Open Binance Ai Pro and enter its Settings.
- Review the permission switches for Futures Trading, Spot and Margin Trading, and Margin Loan, Repay and Transfer.
- Toggle off the permissions relevant to your situation. If you want no further AI-initiated trading or margin movement, turn off all three categories shown for your account.
- Return to the settings screen and confirm that the switches show the disabled state. Save or confirm any prompt Binance displays.
- Open the AI Account’s order and position views and check for activity that was already submitted before the switch was changed.
Turning off permissions prevents the corresponding new actions, but the FAQ does not say that this step by itself cancels every existing order or closes every open position. Treat it as a control for future AI instructions, followed by a separate review of live orders and positions.
Permission availability can depend on compliance rules, platform and jurisdiction. If a switch is unavailable or already locked off, follow the controls that are actually displayed for your account and do not assume the absence of a switch means all exposure has been closed.

Ai Pro operates through its own virtual AI Account, so checking your main Spot wallet alone may not reveal all of its activity. Binance says you can ask Ai Pro to display the AI Account’s orders and positions or inspect them manually through Sub Account Management.

- In Ai Pro, ask to display the AI Account’s open orders and current positions, or open the product’s account and activity views.
- For a manual check, open Binance’s Sub Account Management area and select the AI Account.
- Review open orders separately from positions. Record the market, side, quantity, order type and status of each item before cancelling anything.
- Check Spot, Futures, Cross Margin and Isolated Margin sections where available; an order in one product area is not evidence that the others are clear.
- Refresh the page or reopen the account view and confirm that the status has changed after any cancellation or closure request.
If Ai Pro has run out of credits, Binance says strategies may be limited and the AI may be unable to cancel orders or close positions. In that situation, use the Binance app or website and Sub Account Management directly rather than waiting for the assistant to perform the action.
How to deactivate Binance Ai Pro
Deactivation and disconnection are not the same command. Deactivation follows the service’s billing rules and is less immediate than disconnecting the AI Account link.
- Open the Binance Ai Pro Settings page.
- Choose the deactivation option and read the timing notice shown for your account.
- Confirm the request only after deciding whether you need the AI Account to stop operating immediately or can wait for the billing period to end.
- If Ai Pro must stop managing the AI Account during an interim period, use the settings option to delete the AI Account API key, as Binance describes in its FAQ.
- Continue checking the AI Account until its orders and positions show the outcome you intended.

The seven-day rule is measured from the first payment, not from the day you decide to deactivate. Binance’s FAQ is a mutable product document, so the exact label and timing notice shown in your account should take priority over an older screenshot or guide.
What happens if you disconnect the AI Account link?
Disconnecting the AI Account link is the immediate, broad shutdown described by Binance. The FAQ says this action deletes the AI Account API key, cancels all open orders and closes positions across Spot, Futures, Cross Margin and Isolated Margin.

That makes disconnect different from simply disabling a permission. It can close profitable or losing positions at the prevailing execution conditions and may create fees, slippage or tax-reporting consequences. Read the confirmation screen carefully and export any records you need before proceeding.
- Open Ai Pro Settings and select the control for disconnecting the AI Account link.
- Review the warning listing order cancellation, position closure and API-key deletion.
- Confirm only if you accept the immediate closure of positions in every listed product category.
- After confirmation, open Sub Account Management and check that no open orders or positions remain.
- Binance says remaining funds can be transferred back through Sub Account Management → Asset Management. Review balances there and move funds only after confirming the account state.
If your objective is merely to stop new AI entries while preserving existing positions, do not use disconnect as a substitute for turning off trading permissions and handling orders individually.
How to cancel ordinary Spot open orders
For a regular Spot order, Binance’s cited instructions provide separate app and website paths. This flow is specifically for pending Spot orders; it is not a universal command for Ai Pro, Futures, Margin or every bot.

- Open Trade → Spot → Open Orders.
- Find the pending order you want to stop and tap Cancel beside it.
- For a broad Spot cleanup, choose Cancel All for the pending orders shown.
- Refresh the Open Orders list and confirm the order no longer appears as open.
- Use order history to distinguish a successfully cancelled order from one that was filled before your request reached the market.
Binance website
- Open the Spot trading screen and select Open Orders.
- Locate the order and click the bin icon beside it.
- Confirm the cancellation prompt.
- Refresh the list, then review order history if the status is unclear.
Cancellation is a request to remove an unfilled order. It cannot undo a trade that has already executed. If an order is missing from Open Orders, check its status and fills in order history before placing another order.

Extra care for Spot DCA and other trading bots
A bot changes what “cancel” means. Binance says Spot DCA bots cannot be edited or paused, but they can be ended from the Running tab. Ending one is not equivalent to pausing future cycles.
Ending a Spot DCA bot
- Open the bot area and select the Running tab.
- Choose the Spot DCA bot you want to stop.
- Select the option to end the bot and read the asset-handling notice.
- Confirm only after checking whether you want the bot’s open-order base coins sold or retained.
Binance says that when a Spot DCA bot ends, open-order base coins are closed and sold automatically at market. That can produce a different result from a manual cancellation. Binance also says that when manually cancelling a Spot DCA order, you can choose to retain the base asset. Read the choice in the cancellation dialog instead of assuming every route has the same settlement behavior.
In a January 2026 announcement, Binance warned: “Cancellation of any order that is part of a running trading bot will result in the closure of the entire trading bot.” Treat that as a warning that cancelling one bot-linked order can terminate the bot, not as proof that every bot type has identical controls in every workflow. Binance’s Spot DCA explanation and the January 2026 announcement provide the relevant warnings.

Do not rely on the old-order cancellation notice as a current safety feature
Binance announced a specific maintenance event for unfilled Spot and Margin orders placed before 2024-01-01 00:00 UTC. The announced automatic cancellation time was 2026-01-21 07:00 UTC; the notice was published January 14, 2026 and updated January 16, 2026. Completed trades were not affected.

This was a narrow, historical event with a stated product and order-date scope. It does not mean Binance routinely cancels all old orders, all AI orders or every inactive order. Use the live Open Orders and order-history screens to determine what remains in your account.
Troubleshooting when an order will not disappear
The permission switch is off but an order remains
Disabling a permission controls additional instructions; it does not establish that an already-submitted order was cancelled. Open the relevant AI Account or product-specific order list and cancel the order there. Refresh and verify its status in order history.
The assistant cannot cancel or close anything
Check whether Ai Pro has run out of credits. Binance says limited credits can prevent the AI from cancelling orders or closing positions. Use the app, website and Sub Account Management manually.

You cannot find the order in Spot Open Orders
It may belong to the AI Account, a Futures or Margin section, or a running bot. Check the product and account selector, then inspect order history for a fill or cancellation. Do not place a replacement order until you know whether the original executed.
A cancellation warning mentions a bot
Stop and read the warning. Binance says cancelling an order that is part of a running trading bot can close the entire bot. For Spot DCA, compare the option to retain base assets with the separate end-bot behavior that sells open-order base coins at market.
The labels in your account differ
Ai Pro availability and permissions can vary by platform and jurisdiction, and Binance says its FAQ may change without notice. Use the closest current label in your account, avoid relying on an outdated path, and contact Binance support if the account state cannot be verified.
Final safety checklist
- Identify whether the activity is Ai Pro, an ordinary Spot order, Futures or Margin activity, or a bot.
- For Ai Pro, turn off the relevant trading permissions first when your goal is to stop new instructions.
- Check the dedicated AI Account’s open orders and positions through Ai Pro or Sub Account Management.
- Use disconnect only when you accept immediate cancellation of all open orders and closure of positions across the listed products.
- For regular Spot orders, use Trade → Spot → Open Orders and verify the result in order history.
- Read bot warnings carefully; a single cancellation may terminate a running bot, and ending a Spot DCA bot may sell base coins at market.
- Refresh every relevant account and product view after acting, and keep records of fills, cancellations and transfers.
