You can stop checking an XRP chart repeatedly by creating alerts in an exchange, charting platform, or market-data app. Choose an XRP trading pair, define an above- or below-price trigger, save it, and turn on notifications both inside the service and in your phone or computer’s operating system. For a simple target, Coinbase or Binance is usually sufficient; for indicator- or drawing-based conditions, TradingView provides the more flexible alert engine.
What an XRP price alert does
An XRP price alert watches a selected market condition on the service where you create it. When that condition is met, the service sends a notification through the channels it supports. Your phone or computer is only the delivery endpoint; it does not watch the XRP market by itself.

A basic alert might notify you when XRP rises above $0.70 or falls below $0.50. Those figures are illustrative targets, not a forecast. A price alert does not buy or sell XRP. Coinbase states: “Price alerts are only notifications that an asset has reached a certain price. They do not place an order for that asset.” If you want an order to be submitted after a condition, that is a separate trading workflow with its own permissions, risks, and platform requirements; the alert setup described here does not create one.

The right choice depends on whether you need one price level or a technical condition, how you want to receive the message, and how long the alert should remain active.

Interfaces, XRP availability, account tiers, limits, and menu names can vary by country and can change over time. If XRP or a particular pair is missing, check the service’s current availability for your region rather than assuming the alert feature is broken.
How to set an XRP alert on Binance
Binance’s alert tool can watch a price level, a percentage move, or a 24-hour change. Binance describes its price-alert feature as notifying you when a specified price or condition is met. The support article was published on February 17, 2022, and updated January 6, 2026.

- Search for XRP and select the exact trading pair you want to monitor. XRP/USDT and XRP/USD, for example, are different markets and can have different quoted prices.
- Tap the Alert icon for that pair.
- Choose the condition. Available choices listed by Binance are price reaches, rises above, drops to, change over, change under, 24-hour change over, and 24-hour change down.
- Enter the target price or percentage and select the alert frequency offered for that condition.
- Tap the control to create or save the alert.
- Confirm that notifications are allowed in both Binance and your device’s operating-system settings. Binance says app alerts are available on Binance Pro and require device notifications to be enabled.
Binance limits to remember
- You can create up to 10 alerts for one trading pair.
- You can have up to 50 alerts in total.
- Each alert is valid for 90 days, so a set-and-forget plan requires a periodic review and renewal.
If an alert disappears after three months, that can be normal expiry rather than a failure. Review the alert list before the 90-day period ends if you still need the condition.

How to set an XRP alert in the Coinbase mobile app
Coinbase’s documented flow uses your watchlist as the prerequisite. Only watchlist assets send the price alerts described in its help documentation.
- Open the Coinbase mobile app and search for XRP.
- Select the cryptocurrency and add it to your watchlist.
- Open the XRP asset page and tap the bell icon.
- Choose Add Alert.
- Select whether the alert should fire when XRP moves above or below a target.
- Enter the target price and save the alert.
- Open Notification Settings and choose push, in-app, email, or a combination of those delivery methods.
- In your phone’s operating-system settings, allow notifications for Coinbase. A saved alert can exist in the account while remaining invisible as a push notification if the operating system blocks the app.
Coinbase’s alert is tied to the asset you selected and watched. If you need to monitor a particular quote currency, verify the price display and market context shown on the asset page before saving the target.
How to create a more advanced XRP alert in TradingView
TradingView is useful when “tell me when XRP reaches a number” is not specific enough. Its alert system can use the current symbol or a watchlist and can evaluate price, an indicator, a strategy, or a drawing tool.

- Open the XRP symbol you want to monitor, or work from the relevant watchlist.
- Start a new alert for that symbol or list item.
- Choose the condition source: price, an indicator, a strategy, or a drawing tool.
- Define the comparison and value. For a simple alert this could be XRP crossing a price; for a technical alert it could be an indicator reaching a level.
- Choose the trigger frequency. TradingView lists only once, every time, once per bar close, and once per minute.
- Set an expiration date or choose an open-ended alert when that option is available.
- Save the alert and review the notification choices shown in the alert dialog.
TradingView notes that open-ended alerts are unavailable for watchlists. If you need a watchlist alert to continue indefinitely, check the expiration shown before saving and renew it when required.

Choosing a TradingView trigger
- Only once: useful for a one-time milestone, such as the first move above a chosen level.
- Every time: suitable when repeated crossings matter, but potentially noisy in a fast market.
- Once per bar close: waits for the selected chart interval to close, which can reduce intrabar messages.
- Once per minute: checks at a frequent interval and may produce more notifications.
The trigger frequency changes when you are notified; it does not guarantee a particular execution price or create an order.
How to set XRP notifications with CoinMarketCap
CoinMarketCap documents per-coin alerts in its mobile app and separate controls for broader watchlist movement notifications.
- In the CoinMarketCap app, open the XRP coin page.
- Use the coin’s alert control to define the price notification you want.
- Save the alert, then verify that notifications are permitted for the app in your device settings.
- For account-wide notification choices on the website, open your avatar menu, select Settings, and choose Notifications.
- Toggle the categories you want. CoinMarketCap says notifications appear in its inbox and on devices where you are signed in.
CoinMarketCap’s watchlist movement notifications are broader than a single XRP target. Use the per-coin alert when you need a defined XRP level, and use watchlist settings for movement updates across several assets.

- Pick the exact market. Select XRP and the quoted pair you actually follow. Do not assume a USD, USDT, EUR, or other quote will have the same displayed number.
- Write the condition in plain language first. For example: “Notify me when XRP rises above $0.70” or “Notify me when XRP drops below $0.50.” This prevents confusing an above trigger with a below trigger.
- Use two alerts for a range. If your goal is to notice movement in either direction, create one upper and one lower alert. Binance and Coinbase document the above/below or rise/drop choices needed for this configuration.
- Choose a frequency that matches your purpose. A one-time alert is appropriate for a milestone; repeated or per-minute triggers are better reserved for situations where multiple crossings are meaningful.
- Set the lifetime deliberately. Record an expiry date when the service uses one. Binance alerts expire after 90 days, while TradingView lets you choose an expiration or, for eligible alerts, an open-ended setting.
- Enable both notification layers. Turn on the service’s delivery option and the operating system’s permission for that app or browser. A disabled device permission can suppress a correctly saved alert.
- Check where the message will appear. Coinbase can use push, in-app, and email; Binance relies on app alerts with device notifications; CoinMarketCap uses its inbox and signed-in devices. TradingView presents the available choices in its alert setup.
- Review periodically. Confirm that the alert still references the intended XRP pair, has not expired, and has not been disabled after an app or operating-system update.
Troubleshooting missed or unexpected XRP alerts
The alert was saved but no push message arrived
- Check the service’s notification settings first.
- Check the phone or computer operating system for blocked notifications, focus modes, battery restrictions, or browser permission changes.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the same account that created the alert, especially for CoinMarketCap device notifications.
- Look in the service’s in-app inbox or alert list; the event may have been recorded even if a banner was suppressed.
The price appeared to cross the target, but no alert fired
- Verify the exact trading pair and quote currency. A chart for XRP/USDT is not the same trigger as XRP/USD.
- Check whether the rule was “above,” “below,” “rises above,” or “drops to.” These conditions are not interchangeable.
- For TradingView, check the selected frequency. An alert set to once per bar close may not trigger during a temporary intrabar move.
- Review the alert’s expiration and status. Binance alerts are limited to 90 days.
There are too many messages
Use one-time or once-per-bar-close triggers where appropriate, raise the distance between repeated thresholds, or remove duplicate alerts across multiple services. A pair of clearly separated upper and lower levels is usually easier to manage than many closely spaced targets.
XRP or the desired pair is unavailable
Availability can depend on country, account tier, and the service’s current listings. Try another supported XRP pair only if its quote currency fits your decision, and do not treat a different pair as an identical replacement.
How to choose between the four options
Choose Binance when you need several market conditions
Binance is the most explicit choice in the documented options for combining price levels with percentage and 24-hour change conditions. Its fixed 90-day lifetime and alert caps make it important to maintain the alert list.
Choose Coinbase for a straightforward mobile price target
Coinbase’s flow is short: put XRP on the watchlist, add an above or below target, and select push, in-app, or email delivery. It suits readers who want a simple asset-level notification rather than a charting rule.

Choose TradingView for indicator or drawing conditions
TradingView is the strongest fit when the trigger depends on an indicator, strategy, or drawing tool, or when you need control over bar-close and repeated-trigger behavior. Watchlist alerts cannot use the open-ended option described in its documentation.
Choose CoinMarketCap for app alerts and a central inbox
CoinMarketCap provides per-coin alerts and places notifications in its inbox and on signed-in devices. Its website also gives you a single settings area for watchlist movement categories.
Keep alerts useful without turning them into constant checking
An alert should replace routine chart refreshing, not create a new stream of noise. Start with the smallest number of levels that answers your question: one upper and one lower target for a range, or a single milestone if you only care about one event. Give each alert a clear purpose and remove it when that purpose no longer exists.
