How to Set Price Alerts for PC Jeweller (PCJEWELLER) and Other Stocks

To monitor PC Jeweller, use the exact NSE instrument symbol PCJEWELLER. In TradingView, search for NSE:PCJEWELLER, open the chart and create a price alert. In Zerodha Kite, open the instrument and use Set alert (app) or More → Create Alert (web). Choose the trigger price, expiry and notification method, then verify that your phone, email or browser can receive the alert.

The same process works for other listed shares, but the exchange suffix matters: an NSE listing and a BSE listing can be separate instruments. The instructions below explain the exact workflows, multi-stock options, alert limits and the difference between a price alert and an exchange transaction message.

Confirm the PC Jeweller instrument before creating an alert

PC Jeweller’s NSE ticker is PCJEWELLER. TradingView identifies the instrument as NSE:PCJEWELLER. Search for that full exchange-qualified symbol rather than selecting the first similarly named result. If you intend to monitor a BSE listing, select the BSE instrument shown by your platform instead; a price alert is attached to the instrument you choose, not merely to the company name.

  • Check the exchange label (NSE or BSE) beside the result.
  • Check that the company name is PC Jeweller before saving the alert.
  • Do not copy a price from one exchange into an alert for the other exchange without checking the quote and trading session.
  • When setting alerts for several companies, verify every symbol individually before adding it to a watchlist.

Choose the alert service that fits your use case

A simple threshold alert is enough when you only need to know that PCJEWELLER has crossed a level. TradingView is more flexible when you want technical, watchlist or fundamental conditions and several delivery channels. Kite is useful if you already monitor positions through that broker and want broker-linked alerts. Groww’s documented settings control notification categories, but the cited instructions do not establish a precise PCJEWELLER price-threshold workflow, so you must confirm the current in-app screens.

Set a PCJEWELLER price alert in TradingView

TradingView describes alerts as timely notifications for important market events. Its price alert can notify you when a symbol reaches, exceeds or falls below a level. The interface offers several ways to start an alert, so use whichever is visible in your account.

1. Find the NSE symbol

  1. Open TradingView and use the symbol search.
  2. Enter NSE:PCJEWELLER.
  3. Select the PC Jeweller NSE instrument and open its chart.

If the search returns several listings, read the exchange prefix and instrument description before continuing. Selecting a different exchange creates an alert for that different quote.

2. Open the Create alert dialog

Choose Create alert from any of these documented entry points:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • The Create alert control in the chart’s top toolbar.
  • Alert manager.
  • The chart’s right-click menu.
  • The plus button beside the price scale.

3. Define the trigger

  1. Set the condition to the symbol’s price.
  2. Choose whether the alert should fire when price crosses above, crosses below, reaches or falls through your target, using the options shown for the selected condition.
  3. Enter the target value in the quote’s currency and precision accepted by the dialog.
  4. Select the frequency offered by TradingView. A frequency controls whether the alert can fire once, repeatedly or according to the platform’s available evaluation setting; choose the option that matches how often you want notifications.

For example, a target for an upside breakout should use a crossing-above condition, while a downside risk level should use a crossing-below condition. Do not use an “equal” style condition when you really need notification for a move through a level; prices can pass between ticks without remaining exactly equal to your number.

4. Set duration, name and message

  1. Choose the timer or expiration date. An expiry prevents an old target from remaining active after the trade idea is no longer relevant.
  2. Give the alert a descriptive name, such as PCJEWELLER above target or PCJEWELLER downside level.
  3. Add a message that identifies the symbol, direction and level. A useful message can include the exchange, for example NSE:PCJEWELLER crossed above my target.

5. Select delivery channels

Enable only the channels you will actually monitor. TradingView documents app notifications, pop-ups, email, webhooks, sound and plain-text delivery. A practical combination is an app notification for immediate attention plus email for a searchable record. Webhooks are useful only if you have a service configured to receive and process the request; enabling one without a destination does not create a useful notification.

6. Save and verify

Save the alert, then open Alert manager and confirm that it is enabled, attached to NSE:PCJEWELLER, using the intended condition and showing the intended expiration. Check your phone’s notification permission, browser permission, email address and spam folder. If the alert is important, do not rely on a sound that your device routinely silences.

Use TradingView’s other alert types

Technical, drawing, strategy and chart-pattern alerts

TradingView also supports alerts based on indicators, drawings, strategies and chart patterns. These are appropriate when a fixed price is not enough—for example, when you want a moving-average event, a trend-line break or a strategy condition. The exact fields depend on the indicator, drawing or strategy on the chart. Review the selected object before saving so the alert is not attached to an old drawing or a different timeframe.

Watchlist alerts for several stocks

A TradingView watchlist alert applies one condition independently to each symbol in the watchlist. This is the simplest way to monitor PCJEWELLER and other shares for the same event, such as a price crossing above a specified level.

  1. Create or open a watchlist containing the symbols you want to monitor.
  2. Check each entry’s exchange and ticker, including NSE:PCJEWELLER.
  3. Start a watchlist alert and define the shared condition.
  4. Set frequency, timer, name, message and delivery channels.
  5. Save it, then inspect the alert manager to confirm the watchlist—not a single chart symbol—is the selected source.

The condition is evaluated separately for every symbol. A trigger for one company does not mean every company in the list crossed the level.

Fundamental alerts

TradingView documents fundamental alerts for market capitalisation, P/E, PEG, P/B, P/S, price-to-cash-flow, price-to-free-cash-flow, dividend yield, buyback yield and earnings yield. These can be useful for screening a group of stocks, but they are not instantaneous substitutes for a price threshold. TradingView warns that fundamental alerts can be briefly inaccurate after rapid price changes following an earnings release; corrected data is displayed within a few hours. Treat a post-earnings fundamental notification as a prompt to recheck the current figure rather than as a final, unchanging valuation fact.

Set an alert in Zerodha Kite

Kite provides broker-linked alerts with more condition fields than a basic price-only trigger. The documented steps are available in both the mobile app and the web interface.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Kite app

  1. Open the Kite app and find the PC Jeweller instrument.
  2. Tap Set alert.
  3. Enter an alert name.
  4. Select the property to monitor and enter its value.
  5. Choose the comparison operator and create the alert.

Kite web

  1. Open the PC Jeweller instrument in Kite web.
  2. Choose More → Create Alert.
  3. Enter an alert name.
  4. Select the property, operator and value.
  5. Create the alert and check that it appears in your alerts list.

Kite properties and operators

Kite documents conditions for OHLC values, percentage change, last traded price, average traded price, buy quantity, sell quantity, open interest, volume and related fields. The available comparison operators include:

  • Greater than (>)
  • Greater than or equal to (>=)
  • Less than (<)
  • Less than or equal to (<=)
  • Equal to (=)

Use last traded price for a straightforward target-price alert. Use percentage change when the trigger should scale with the opening reference rather than a fixed rupee level. Quantity, open interest and volume conditions are better suited to activity monitoring than to a simple “notify me at this price” request. Confirm the property’s label in the current Kite dialog before saving because the same company can have multiple available fields.

What happens when a Kite alert triggers

Zerodha says a triggered alert produces a notification on Kite web or in the app and an email. Check both the alert list and your registered email after creating one so you know which channels are active on your account.

Kite limits and validity

Zerodha states that Kite alerts are free and that it does not charge additional fees. It permits up to 500 alerts and 200 Alert Trigger Orders. Alerts are valid for 365 days unless they trigger or you disable them earlier. These figures are account-level product rules, not guarantees that every future interface will use the same limits; check the current Kite alert screen if your account displays different information.

“Kite alerts are free, and Zerodha does not charge additional fees.”

Do not confuse the 500-alert allowance with the separate 200-Alert-Trigger-Order allowance. They are different features and should be counted separately when planning a large set of rules.

What Groww’s documented notification settings do—and do not—confirm

Groww’s official notification-management update documents the path Profile → Settings → Manage notifications. It provides on/off controls by product category, including Stocks, Mutual Funds and F&O. Groww says changes may take up to 24 hours to reflect.

That documentation confirms notification preferences, but it does not specify the exact steps for creating a PCJEWELLER price-threshold alert. If you use Groww, open the current app, search for PC Jeweller, and look for an alert or bell control on the instrument page. If no threshold control is visible, use the documented notification settings for category preferences and verify whether the current version offers a separate alert feature. Do not assume that enabling stock notifications creates a target-price alert.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Exchange SMS and email are not price alerts

NSE, BSE and MCX send SMS or email notices about transactions on trading days as a safeguard against unauthorised trades. Those messages confirm activity connected with a transaction. They are not triggered because PCJEWELLER reached a price that you selected, and they cannot replace a user-created price alert.

  • Price alert: you choose the symbol, condition and level; the platform notifies you when the condition is met.
  • Exchange transaction message: the exchange reports a transaction-related event, generally after activity in the account.
  • Notification preference: an app setting that controls whether a category of messages is delivered; it may not define any market threshold.

Troubleshoot an alert that did not arrive

The alert is attached to the wrong instrument

Open the alert details and read the full ticker and exchange. Replace a generic company-name selection with the verified instrument, such as NSE:PCJEWELLER. For a broker alert, reopen the instrument page and confirm that the alert belongs to the intended listing.

The condition is the wrong direction

Check whether the rule says above, below, crossing above, crossing below or equal. A crossing rule and a continuing-above rule can behave differently. Edit the rule instead of creating another one if the direction is wrong; duplicate rules can produce confusing notifications.

The alert expired or was disabled

Inspect the expiration timer and enabled status. Kite alerts have a 365-day validity period unless triggered or disabled earlier. TradingView’s timer and any account or plan rules should be checked in Alert manager because the supplied material does not establish one universal TradingView duration.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The notification channel is blocked

  • Confirm that the app is allowed to send notifications.
  • Check browser notification permission if you rely on pop-ups.
  • Verify the registered email address and search spam or filtering folders.
  • Make sure sound is not muted or routed to an unattended device.
  • For a webhook, confirm that a receiving endpoint is configured and available.

You received too many alerts

Use a meaningful timer and frequency, then disable temporary alerts after the event has passed. For a watchlist, remember that one rule can trigger independently for every symbol. Name alerts with the ticker, direction and purpose so you can identify and remove obsolete rules quickly.

Practical rules for reliable stock alerts

Use levels that match your decision

Set an upside level only when you know what you will do after a move above it. Set a downside level when a decline requires attention. If you merely want a reminder near a round number, use a single threshold rather than stacking several nearly identical rules.

Separate monitoring from execution

An alert tells you that a condition occurred; it does not by itself explain why the move happened or whether the price is still available when you read the message. Review the live quote, the exchange, market context and your own plan before taking action.

Review alerts after corporate or market events

Targets can become irrelevant after earnings, corporate actions or a major gap. Update or disable them rather than allowing an old level to remain active for months. Fundamental notifications deserve an additional check after earnings because TradingView notes that rapid post-release changes can temporarily make fundamental data inaccurate.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Audit a multi-stock watchlist

Remove symbols you no longer follow, check for duplicate listings and make sure every company uses the intended exchange. A watchlist alert is efficient, but one mistyped or wrong-exchange symbol can create a notification that looks like a PCJEWELLER event when it is not.

Bottom line

For PC Jeweller, start with the verified NSE symbol PCJEWELLER—shown as NSE:PCJEWELLER in TradingView—then choose the platform according to the alert you need. TradingView offers the broadest documented mix of price, technical, watchlist and fundamental rules with app, email, pop-up, sound, webhook and plain-text delivery. Kite offers broker-linked conditions, email and app/web notifications, with stated limits of 500 alerts, 200 Alert Trigger Orders and 365-day alert validity. Groww’s documented controls cover notification categories, not a fully specified PCJEWELLER threshold workflow. Exchange SMS and email remain transaction safeguards, so they should be treated separately from a price alert you create.
