Confirm the correct India Cements instrument first
The company you want is The India Cements Limited. On the National Stock Exchange, its symbol is INDIACEM. Search by the full company name as well as the symbol, and check that the result is the exchange-listed equity rather than a similarly named instrument or an unrelated company.

Checks to make before saving an alert
- The name shown is The India Cements Limited.
- The exchange is NSE if you intend to monitor the NSE quote.
- The symbol is INDIACEM, with no extra characters.
- The quote currency and market segment match the equity you intend to hold or trade.
This check matters because an alert attached to the wrong instrument can be perfectly functional while monitoring the wrong price.
Set a notification alert in Zerodha Kite
Kite supports condition-based alerts using parameters such as price, volume and percentage change. The following creates a notification condition; it does not submit an order.

In the Kite mobile app
- Open Kite and use search to find INDIACEM or The India Cements Limited.
- Open the instrument’s quote or detail view.
- Tap Set alert.
- Give the alert a name that states the purpose, such as “INDIACEM above review level” or “INDIACEM daily percentage move.”
- Choose the property to monitor. Examples include last traded price, volume or percentage change.
- Select the comparison operator, such as greater than or less than, and enter the threshold.
- Review the property, operator, value and instrument, then create the alert.
Use a level that has a clear decision attached to it. For example, “notify me if the last traded price is above my review level” is actionable; a dozen alerts at arbitrary prices usually creates noise.
On Kite web
- Open the INDIACEM quote from your Marketwatch or search.
- Open the instrument’s More menu.
- Select Create Alert.
- Choose the property, operator and threshold, name the alert, and save it.
Zerodha says alerts can be delivered inside Kite and by email. Check that the email address associated with your account is current and that notification permissions have not been disabled on your device.
Choose the right condition for the question you are asking

The alert tells you that the condition was met. It does not explain why it was met, predict the next move or validate an investment thesis. Open the quote and relevant announcement before deciding what to do.

If your goal is simply to be told that INDIACEM crossed a level, create a normal alert. Use an Alert Trigger Order only after you understand the separate order workflow, its trigger and limit-price behavior, and the risks of an automated submission. Zerodha documents these as separate features.

Know the documented alert limits and expiry
- Zerodha documents a maximum of 500 alerts.
- It documents a maximum of 200 Alert Trigger Orders, which is a separate limit from ordinary alerts.
- Alerts have a documented validity period of 365 days.
Review long-running alerts before they expire and remove conditions that no longer represent a decision you might make. These limits and interface labels can change, so check the current Kite support documentation if the app displays a different value.
Review alerts after corporate actions
Zerodha states that an alert can be disabled when a corporate action changes the instrument price by more than 2%. A split, bonus, consolidation or other adjustment can therefore make an old rupee threshold inappropriate even if the alert still appears in your list. After a corporate action:
- Check whether the alert is still active.
- Confirm that the threshold is expressed on the adjusted price basis.
- Delete and recreate the alert if its original logic no longer makes sense.
Track India Cements quarterly results in Kite
Results timing is different from price monitoring. Kite can show a scheduled event, but the schedule may move. Use the event display to plan a check, not as the final evidence that results were released.

- Find INDIACEM in your holdings or Marketwatch.
- Look for the event tag beside the instrument.
- Use the tag to identify the scheduled financial-result window.
Zerodha says financial-result tags appear from three days before through one day after the scheduled event. That display window helps you notice an approaching announcement, but it is not a guarantee that the board meeting or filing will occur at the displayed time.

Check stock-specific events in Fundamentals
- Open the INDIACEM instrument in Kite.
- Open More > Fundamentals.
- Review the upcoming stock-specific events shown there.
Record the scheduled date in your own calendar if the result matters to a decision. Keep the calendar entry provisional until the exchange filing confirms the event.
Verify the announcement on the NSE quote page
For the authoritative exchange record, open the NSE quote page for INDIACEM. Use the sections covering:
- Corporate announcements
- Financial-result records
- Annual reports
- The event calendar
When the app date and the exchange record differ, use the NSE record for what was actually filed and when. A scheduled tag can be stale, moved or incomplete; an exchange filing supplies the document and its timestamp.
What the latest surfaced filing illustrates
The NSE integrated filing record for India Cements’ fourth-quarter FY2025-26 results identifies the results as quarterly and audited and shows board approval on 25 April 2026. That date is an example of how to read a filing record: identify the reporting period, whether the figures are audited, and the board-approval date. Do not treat a headline or an app reminder as a substitute for those details.

Read the filing instead of relying on a result headline
Once a result is released, open the filing and establish exactly what it covers before comparing numbers. At minimum, check:
- The reporting quarter and financial year.
- Whether the figures are audited, limited-reviewed or otherwise described.
- Whether the document contains standalone results, consolidated results or both.
- The board-approval date and the period to which each figure relates.
- Any accompanying notes, qualifications, exceptional items or explanations for a large change.
A price alert can arrive before you have context. A filing supplies the context needed to decide whether a move reflects the quarterly numbers, a separate corporate announcement, market-wide conditions or something unrelated to the company.

SEBI investor guidance says investors can opt for free SMS and email alerts for trading or transaction activity in their trading and demat accounts when their mobile number and email address are kept updated with their broker and depository participant.

- A Kite price alert is a condition you define for a market variable.
- A results event tag is a schedule indicator.
- A broker or depository SMS/email alert concerns activity in your account, such as a transaction.
Update your contact details with both the broker and depository participant, and check spam, blocked senders and device notification permissions. Never treat the absence of an SMS as proof that no trade occurred; verify activity in the account statement and app.
How to evaluate any trading app for this workflow
If you use an app other than Kite, compare the actual feature behavior rather than assuming every platform handles alerts identically. The following checklist separates documented Kite capabilities from items you must verify in another app.

Values for other brokers are not established here. Confirm them in the app’s current help material before depending on a limit, delivery method or expiry rule.

When you first add INDIACEM
- Confirm The India Cements Limited and the NSE symbol INDIACEM.
- Create only the price, percentage or volume alerts tied to a specific decision.
- Name each alert so its purpose is obvious months later.
- Check the delivery setting and test that Kite notifications are permitted.
- Note the 365-day expiry and review date.
Before the scheduled quarter
- Check the event tag beside INDIACEM in Holdings or Marketwatch.
- Open More > Fundamentals and note the scheduled event.
- Confirm the date against the NSE event calendar or corporate-announcement record.
- Avoid treating the scheduled date as final until the exchange posts the filing.
When the alert or result arrives
- Open the INDIACEM quote and identify which condition fired.
- Check NSE corporate announcements and the financial-result record.
- Read the filing’s period, audit status, approval date and explanatory notes.
- Only then decide whether further research, a portfolio review or an order is appropriate.
Troubleshoot missed, late or confusing notifications
The alert never arrived
- Confirm the alert is active and has not expired.
- Check the instrument, property, operator and threshold.
- Allow Kite notifications in the phone’s operating-system settings.
- Confirm the email address and inspect spam or filtering rules.
- Check whether a corporate action disabled the alert after a price change of more than 2%.
The result date changed
Scheduled dates can move. Recheck More > Fundamentals, then use the NSE event calendar and corporate-announcement record. Keep the app tag as a prompt to look, not as the final release record.
The alert fired but no order exists
That is expected for an informational alert. Open the order book and trade book separately if you need to check execution. A notification does not mean an order was submitted, accepted or filled.
The displayed price seems inconsistent after a corporate action
Review the company action and the adjusted quote. Reassess the threshold and recreate the alert if the old price level no longer expresses the intended condition.
What this workflow can and cannot tell you
- It can notify you when a chosen INDIACEM market condition is reached.
- It can help you notice a scheduled results window.
- It can direct you to the exchange filing that records what was actually announced.
- It cannot guarantee alert delivery speed, predict a price move or establish that a trade was executed.
- It cannot make a scheduled result date immutable; only the filed exchange record confirms the release.
Use alerts to reduce the chance of missing a condition, and use the NSE filing to establish the facts before acting.
