The most reliable setup uses four layers: find the expected date in the NSE Corporate Filings Event Calendar, set an advance reminder in a broker calendar such as Zerodha Kite, subscribe to each company’s Investor Relations email updates, and add a results-specific service such as Trendlyne for confirmation after a result is declared. Keep SEBI and depository account-activity alerts enabled, but treat those as trading and demat safeguards—not as a universal quarterly-results feed.
What a quarterly-results alert can—and cannot—do
Indian companies do not publish every quarterly result on one universal, guaranteed-time alert channel. A result date is normally announced through an exchange filing, can move later, and may appear through different channels at different times. An effective system therefore separates two jobs:

- Advance notice: the exchange calendar, broker reminders and issuer subscriptions tell you when to expect a board meeting, results filing or related event.
- Confirmation: a results dashboard or the company’s own upload alert tells you that the financial results, presentation or filing has actually appeared.
The NSE Corporate Filings Event Calendar is the primary place to build a date list for stocks listed on NSE. Its entries can be labelled “Results,” “Financial Results” or “Results/Dividend,” and show the filing date and the board’s stated purpose. Those dates are provisional until the company files an exchange notice, so an alert is a prompt to verify—not permission to trade automatically.

1. Build your earnings-date list from the NSE calendar
Open the Corporate Filings Event Calendar
Start with the NSE Corporate Filings Event Calendar and filter the list for every company you own or follow. Record the company, the event label, the announced date and the board purpose. Include “Results/Dividend” entries when a dividend decision matters to your schedule; do not assume that a combined entry means the dividend and results will be filed at the same minute.
Use one row per company and quarter in your own calendar or spreadsheet. Add a column for the exchange filing link or notice once it appears, a column for the date last checked, and a status such as “provisional,” “confirmed” or “result posted.” This prevents a stale calendar entry from being mistaken for a final appointment.
Understand what the date means
The calendar date is the date shown for the company’s stated event. It is not a guarantee that the PDF, XBRL filing, investor presentation and management commentary will all be uploaded simultaneously. Some issuers publish several documents in sequence. If you need the exact numbers, wait for the company’s exchange filing or Investor Relations upload rather than relying on the calendar label alone.
Recheck before acting
Exchange dates can move. Check the latest filing on the NSE calendar and the company’s exchange announcements on the day before your reminder and again when the alert arrives. If the board postpones its meeting or changes the filing date, replace the old date in every calendar and alert layer. A reminder that still points to the original date is not evidence that the result is due that day.

2. Set an advance reminder in Zerodha Kite
Zerodha’s economic calendar provides an event-level reminder. The documented flow is available in the Kite web or app, although menu names can change as the interface is updated.
- Open the Economic Calendar in Kite web or the Kite app.
- Find the relevant company or results event and open its details.
- Tap or select Remind me.
- Confirm that Kite notifications are allowed on your phone and that the email address on your account is current.
- When the event is listed, look for both delivery channels: Zerodha documents a Kite push notification and an email around 8:30 AM on the event day for this type of reminder.
The 8:30 AM timing is a documented service behavior, not a promise that the company will file at 8:30 AM or that every event will use exactly the same schedule. The event may be updated, removed or rescheduled. Keep the NSE date list as your source of record and use Kite as the convenient event-day prompt.
Make the reminder useful
- Set a separate personal reminder one or two trading days before the provisional date so you have time to check the latest exchange notice.
- Leave push notifications enabled during market hours if you want immediate prompts, but avoid allowing a large watchlist to bury the result reminder.
- If the email does not arrive, check the account email, spam folder and Kite notification permissions; then verify whether the event is still present in the current calendar.
3. Subscribe to the company’s Investor Relations emails
An issuer’s own Investor Relations page is often the most direct route to uploads for that company. Visit the official site, open Investor Relations, and look for labels such as Email alerts, Subscribe or Register for updates. Complete the registration with an address you monitor and follow any confirmation step.
What issuer alerts may contain
The subscription may notify you about results, presentations, board-meeting notices, press releases or every new upload to the Investor Relations section. Scope differs by issuer, so read the description instead of assuming that “email alerts” means quarterly results only. Some companies send one message per upload; others send a digest or only selected categories.

Issuer example
In an official IndiGo filing, the company states: “Additionally, your Company has given a facility to its investors to register their email ids on the website of your Company to get email alerts about any upload made on the Investor Relations section of the website www.goindigo.in.” This demonstrates the mechanism, not a rule for every Indian issuer. One company’s registration facility cannot establish that another company offers the same service or sends alerts on the same timetable.
Keep the subscription dependable
- Use the company’s current official domain and confirm that the confirmation message is genuine before clicking further links.
- Whitelist the issuer’s sending address if legitimate messages repeatedly enter spam.
- Subscribe separately for each company; an issuer list normally does not aggregate unrelated stocks.
- When a company changes its website or investor-relations provider, revisit the page and confirm that your address remains registered.
4. Add a post-publication results alert with Trendlyne
A results dashboard is useful for the second job: telling you that a result has appeared. Trendlyne’s Results dashboard lets users select email alerts for results declared today, in the last two days or over the past week.
- Open the Results dashboard and identify the companies or result window you want to monitor.
- Choose the email-alert option and select the declaration window that fits your workflow.
- Use the “today” window for prompt confirmation, and the two-day or one-week windows when you are checking after a holiday, travel or a missed notification.
- When an alert arrives, open the underlying exchange or issuer filing before relying on a number, profit figure or management statement.
The selectable windows describe when a result was declared; they do not guarantee instant delivery or replace the exchange calendar. Treat the dashboard as a supplement. If a result is important, verify the timestamp and document on the exchange or company site.

BSE Alerts advertises announcement watchlists covering BSE and NSE, with Telegram, Android, browser and premium email notifications. These channels can be convenient when you follow many companies, but they are a private service rather than the exchange’s own filing record.

The researched page showed a premium price of ₹799 per year. Pricing is volatile, so recheck the current amount, renewal terms and included features before paying. The available information does not establish a universal delivery time, a fixed watchlist limit or complete coverage of every type of quarterly-results filing.
Questions to answer before relying on a private alert
- Does it cover the exact NSE, BSE or both listings you follow?
- How much delay is typical between an exchange upload and the notification?
- Are there watchlist caps, paid tiers or separate limits for email, Telegram, browser and Android delivery?
- What personal data, browser permissions or Telegram access does it require?
- Can you cancel renewal and export or delete your watchlist?
Use a private watchlist to reduce manual checking, not as your only evidence that a filing exists. Keep at least one official exchange or issuer channel enabled.

SEBI Investor guidance says investors can receive free SMS and email alerts for trading or transaction activity when their broker and depository have current contact details. SEBI’s circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD1/P/CIR/2024/169 was published on 3 December 2024 regarding SMS and email alerts to investors by stock exchanges.
These messages protect you from unnoticed account activity: a trade, transfer or other transaction involving your trading or demat account. They are not a promise that you will receive a quarterly-results announcement. Keep your phone number and email address updated with the broker and depository, and investigate any transaction you do not recognize, but do not wait for an account SMS to learn that an issuer has released results.

A practical weekly and quarterly routine
When you add a stock
- Put the company on your NSE calendar watchlist or tracking sheet.
- Visit its Investor Relations page and register for email updates if available.
- Add the relevant event to your broker calendar and select Remind me.
- Decide whether a results dashboard or private watchlist adds useful coverage without creating excessive duplicates.
- Confirm that your broker, depository and alert-service contact details are current.
During reporting season
- Review the NSE calendar once a week and mark provisional dates.
- Before each date, check for a newer exchange notice and update your personal calendar.
- On the event day, use the broker reminder as a prompt to check the filing, not as proof that it is already available.
- After publication, use the issuer email or results dashboard to locate the documents and verify the filing timestamp.
- Save the result, presentation and any board notice in a folder labelled with the company and quarter.
After a missed alert
Search the company’s exchange announcements and Investor Relations page directly. Then check whether your email subscription is confirmed, whether messages were filtered, whether push permissions are disabled, and whether the service’s selected declaration window still includes the filing. A missed notification does not mean a result was not published.
Common failure modes and fixes
The date disappeared or changed
Use the newest exchange notice and remove the old reminder from every calendar. Keep a note of the change so an archived email or screenshot does not continue to mislead you.
You received a reminder but no result
The calendar date may refer to a board meeting or announced filing date, and the upload may occur later. Check the issuer’s Investor Relations page and the exchange filing list. Do not infer that the result is delayed solely because a broker notification arrived.

You receive too many duplicate emails
Keep the official issuer subscription and one advance reminder as your core setup. Narrow the Trendlyne window or private watchlist, and turn off overlapping categories. Preserve SEBI and depository transaction alerts because they serve a different security purpose.
An alert contains a headline but no document
Open the underlying official filing before making a decision. Headlines can omit whether figures are consolidated or standalone, audited or unaudited, or accompanied by a dividend announcement. The alert is a pointer; the filing is the record.
You are unsure whether an SMS is a result alert
SEBI/depository messages concern activity in your trading or demat account. They should not be interpreted as a quarterly-results service. Check the sender and your account statement, and obtain results through the exchange, issuer or results dashboard channels described above.
Privacy, security and cost checks
- Use only the official exchange, broker or issuer domains when entering an email address or signing in.
- Never give a watchlist service your trading password or one-time password; a results alert should not require control of your brokerage account.
- Review permissions for Telegram, browser notifications and Android notifications, especially on shared devices.
- Recheck paid-service pricing, renewal and cancellation terms before subscribing. The ₹799 annual figure shown for BSE Alerts is a dated listing, not a permanent price.
- Keep at least one no-cost official source even if you pay for convenience.
Choosing the right setup
For a small portfolio, the NSE calendar plus issuer emails and a single broker reminder is usually enough to know what is coming and where to verify it. Add Trendlyne when you often miss filings and want a selectable post-publication window. Consider a BSE/NSE watchlist only when its channel coverage, delay, privacy terms and current price justify another layer. Regardless of the combination, verify the latest exchange notice because dates can move and no alert service removes that responsibility.
